I was at your Old Navy location in Deptford NJ at approximately *:** pm tonight picking up my online order which was a dress. Well I tried the dress on didn't like it and went and got another one. I simply told the cashier Mary before she even started my transaction that I didn't want the money to go back on my card for the dress, I wanted to use the money towards my in store purchase more of like an exchange. So she said okay but I guess processed the transaction going back to my card anyway andi didn't sign or nothing verify the return and she calls Ryan up who was not helpful and seemed really lost or atleast wasn't good at explaining anything. He told me "I can void the transaction but then the money still goes back onto your card" I then asked him "If you're voiding it then it was subtract from my bank account then" and he said correct. So then what's the problem??? And then he said "She could have done it as a non receipt return to put it on a store card and put it towards my purchase which I told her from the start I wanted to use it towards my new purchase and I didn't care how she had to do it. Now I'm a supervisor at Home Depot for customer service and I know there's ways around things. I also know that when the customer is upset about a certain situation then you accommodate them to make the situation better. Ryan then tried to tell me to repurchase the dress and then he can return it to a credit, so now my card is going to get charged twice for the dress???? He was making no sense but those were his exact words. Meanwhile you have another woman waiting to pick up an online order and the girl checked up from, in the back, up front again, in the back and the other customer was probably just as frustrated as I am. The people at that store definitely don't seem to know what they are doing and it was very frustrating waiting there while Mary and Ryan were pretty much twiddling their thumbs because they were so clueless. I'd suggest hiring people that have customer service skills because after my expirience today I don't even want to go into that store because it's always something when I go there with the associates.
