Subject: Quality Issue with Old El Paso Fajita Kits Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention an issue I've been experiencing with your Old El Paso Fajita Kit, specifically the Smoky BBQ variety. In my recent purchases, the seasoning mix included in the last 3 kits was incorrect. Instead of the expected Smoky BBQ seasoning, I received a seasoning labeled as "Seasoning mix Melange aux epices" and "Seasoning mix Sazonador." The difference in flavor was significant, as the mistakenly included seasoning turned out to be too spicy for our liking. This led to dissatisfaction, especially when trying to enjoy a meal with my children. Due to this recurring error, I had to go out of my way to purchase the correct seasoning mix separately, causing inconvenience. I believe receiving the wrong seasoning mix three times in a row is unacceptable. I kindly request your feedback on this matter and seek a refund for the last 3 kits purchased. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Best regards, L. Langley

I recently purchased three Old El Paso taco dinner kit hard and soft shells, but they were all broken. I was extremely disappointed that the taco shells and flour tortillas were crushed and torn, forcing me to change my dinner plans. I live too far from the store to return them. I took pictures of the damaged items and disposed of them with the receipt. The barcode on the boxes is [redacted]. I really like your products, but I was let down this time. I would appreciate a refund or replacement coupons for the three ruined boxes. My address is Robin Farster, [redacted] Kellogg Road, Pahrump, Nevada [redacted]. Thank you.

I recently used an Old El Paso Fajita seasoning mix with beef, a product I have used multiple times in the past. This time, however, I noticed the seasoning looked different than usual. Despite planning to use shrimp initially, I decided to stick with beef. While cooking, the consistency seemed off, making me suspect a possible mix-up at the factory. My husband and I both thought the flavor resembled more of a gravy mix rather than authentic fajita seasoning. Fortunately, using beef turned out fine, tasting like beef in gravy with onions and peppers, a deviation from our expectations but not unpleasant. Had I used shrimp, the outcome would have been even more peculiar. Although there were no food safety concerns, it was clear that this batch wasn't the typical fajita mix. I can provide a photo of the leftover beef, which visually illustrates the mismatch in seasoning.

Hello, I am usually quite pleased with El Paso products; I regularly purchase salsa, dinner kits, and tortillas from your brand. However, I recently bought a new box of Bold Cheddar flavored taco shells that arrived broken and dried out, giving them a stale appearance. Despite no visible damage to the box, I am unable to locate the receipt. The code on the box reads 10Jan2017 EH 0047H1. I was surprised to see that the best by date was set to January [redacted], considering the product's pale white on light blue packaging. This oversight likely occurred because of the color scheme. As a mindful user of food stamps, I rely on them for budgeting my purchases. I would greatly appreciate any coupons you could provide for my next shopping trip. Additionally, I suspect there may have been an error in distribution to the Giant store in Lewistown, PA [redacted]. You can reach me at [redacted] Maple Ave, APT #2, Lewistown, PA [redacted].

I really enjoy Old El Paso taco shells, but my recent purchase of the Stand 'n Stuff 10-pack was disappointing. Upon opening the package, I noticed that the cardboard separator had four taco shells on top of it, three of which were crushed and the cellophane was torn. It seems like having fourteen shells in the packaging is too much, resulting in them being squashed and stale. Luckily, I had extra shells for my guests, but I would appreciate reimbursement for this packaging mishap. I bought these at Wegmans in Mount Laurel, NJ.

Dear Customer Service, I am reaching out to address my recent experience with batch number 2/4 E3number0688 dated 30.03.[redacted] at 11.41. My wife and I are loyal customers of your products, particularly the mild range which we usually enjoy. However, despite our efforts to prepare a meal using the red kidney beans in water and meat substitute, we were shocked to find it excessively spicy. Unable to consume the dish, we had to discard it. I have attached a picture of the packaging for your reference and would appreciate it if you could investigate why this batch was exceptionally hot. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Sincerely, Mr. M. Glencross

I recently purchased a taco dinner kit from Walmart and was disappointed to discover that all the taco shells were broken into pieces when I opened the package. I can provide a copy of my receipt and photos as proof. Although we managed to salvage the situation by making taco salad instead, my family and I were really looking forward to having tacos. This experience was quite disheartening for me, as I rarely complain about products. I just wanted to bring this issue to your attention. Thank you for listening.

I recently purchased your Old El Paso dinner kit for enchiladas, hoping for a stress-free meal for my large family. Unfortunately, after using three kits, I had to throw everything out. The flour tortillas in the package turned into a gluey mess, making the meal inedible. Even our dogs refused to eat it. I followed the directions precisely, but the outcome was a disaster. It was disappointing to waste three pounds of boneless, skinless chicken breasts and about $25 worth of groceries. It would be great if you could send some coupons to make up for this experience. Thank you.

Several years ago, you used to have a special chicken taco package that included a unique powder mix to coat the chicken. Despite discontinuing the product, your family still wishes for that specific flavor as it was their favorite. They enjoyed preparing chicken with the flavorful powder, more than any other taco option available. You are hopeful that the company will consider making the chicken taco powder available for purchase separately, either online or at Walmart, as it was a beloved product that has been missed throughout the years.

I purchased an Old El Paso Taco Dinner Kit, Stand 'n Stuff, which is supposed to come with 10 shells. Unfortunately, out of the 10 shells provided, only 3 were intact, and the rest were all broken into pieces. This has not been an isolated incident, as it's common for at least one shell to be broken, but having 7 unusable shells is unacceptable. It's disappointing that I cannot utilize this package as intended. I will need to purchase another kit and hope for better quality control with the shell packaging in the future. Expiration date: 4/6/[redacted]

We purchased 12-inch Old El Paso tortillas from Walmart. Unfortunately, all of the tortillas had a large mold spot throughout, even though their expiration date is in June [redacted]. This situation has led to wasting our other food and making two trips to the store - one to buy the tortillas and the other to exchange them. I kindly request reimbursement for the tortillas and some form of compensation for the inconveniences this has caused my family.

I purchased an Old El Paso fajita kit from Iceland recently, but upon opening the kit to prepare dinner, I was dismayed to find that the wraps were moldy and blue, despite the expiry date being 05/04/[redacted]. This led us to order an expensive takeaway instead. I am a very disappointed and upset customer. I wanted to reach out via email before escalating this on social media to caution others to thoroughly inspect the wraps before use, as the expiry date may not reflect the product's quality. Additionally, I brought the wraps back to the Iceland store to address the issue, but the staff member was unhelpful, refusing a refund or exchange without the receipt, which we had discarded after shopping.

Hello. I have purchased your tortilla wraps twice in the last month. However, both times I found that the wraps were stuck together and would peel apart in pieces or have large holes in the middle. Out of the last pack of 10, only 3 wraps were undamaged. Unfortunately, I had to discard several torn wraps from each pack. Despite liking the texture and flavor, I have decided to switch to a different brand this week in the hope of getting a full pack without damage. I purchased the wraps from different supermarkets at different times, so it seems to be a recurring issue. I would appreciate any advice on how to prevent this problem in the future and possibly a refund voucher for the wasted product. I have photos from the last pack if needed. Thank you.

Old El Paso or the recipient, I usually order Old El Paso Grande tortillas online from Walmart. I typically buy three packs at a time. Unfortunately, my last order arrived with all three packs being rotten with green mold. Walmart refunded my money, but when I went to the nearest store to buy more, out of 12 packs, only three were mold-free. After using one pack, I found mold in the other two just four days later. The packs had a "better if used by 10Sep2020" date. I do not make these products, so I cannot provide a resolution. I am 62 and have relied on Old El Paso since childhood. I simply want to purchase fresh tortillas without worrying about getting sick. Thank you.

Recently, I purchased whole grain Tortillas which were stuck together, making it difficult to separate them without damage. I have taken photos to illustrate the issue. Unfortunately, the tortillas have now become moldy despite being within the best-before date of 31/08/[redacted] (processed at 01:40) shown in the photos. This has been the worst experience with this product, and considering I use them daily for lunches, I expected better quality. I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed, as at a minimum, I would like a replacement. Thank you for your assistance. - Chantal

I recently purchased Old El Paso taco sauce after not finding it for a few weeks. To my dismay, it was now in a plastic squeeze bottle instead of the familiar glass bottle after over 40 years of using the product. After refrigerating it, I used it two weeks later, only to find that it had fermented. I believe this change to plastic caused the issue, as I had a similar experience with apple juice transitioning to plastic containers in the past. I've learned my lesson and will not be buying Old El Paso Taco Sauce again. Manufacturers should consider quality and environmental impact over profit margins. Sometimes paying more for a reliable product is better than dealing with inferior items. Sadly, I'm now a lost customer.

I recently bought an 18-pack of taco shells, and unfortunately, almost all of them were damaged, except for 4. Even 2 of the good ones broke when filled by my husband. This is the first time I've encountered such an issue with your product. We managed to salvage the broken pieces for taco salads by snapping them into bite-sized portions and topping them with meat, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. I find humor in the situation – when life gives you lemons, make lemonade! I have pictures and the lot number in case there are more complaints. It might be helpful to investigate if there was an issue in your warehouse or at the Walmart in Bulverde, TX, where I purchased them. I understand it's a challenging task, but tracking complaints from the areas where these lot numbers were distributed could assist in pinpointing the source of the problem. Just a suggestion.

I recently bought a package of six large tortillas from my local grocery store in Stavanger, Norway. Upon opening the package, I noticed that several tortillas had bite marks on the edges, indicating potential rodent activity. This is the first time I have encountered this issue with your products, as we are loyal customers. I believe this occurred at the packing facility before being wrapped, as there was no damage to the wrapping. I wanted to bring this to your attention for quality control purposes. I have attached pictures of the affected tortillas for your reference.

I have been a long-time fan of various Old El Paso items which I have consistently savored. However, I recently observed a decline in the quality of their Sliced Green Jalapeños. In the past, they were consistently firm and crunchy, but my last three purchases have been limp and soft. Consequently, I have switched to the Waitrose brand, which offers a similar quality to what Old El Paso used to provide. I wonder if this change was intentional, as I believe many other devoted customers may have also perceived the difference.

I had a concerning experience with two boxes of Old El Paso 12ct crunchy taco shells I bought. Despite their packaging being discarded and stored in a zip lock bag, the shells emitted a strong, unpleasant, stale grease smell. Even after heating them in the microwave, the off-putting odor persisted, and the shells appeared discolored. I consumed some reluctantly, but the smell lingered. Although they were inexpensive, such quality issues should not be overlooked. I regret not keeping the barcodes for reference. This was not my first time buying these shells, and previous purchases were fine. This time, it seems like these particular boxes might have been tainted during the cooking process or storage. Hopefully, this feedback can help the company investigate and address potential issues.
