I have been a loyal Office Depot customer for over ** years and have experienced nothing but excellent service and pleasant employees. I order everything from Amazon. However, when I need a printer, phone, fax machine, etc., i buy it from Office Depot BECAUSE of your excellent customer service. If I have a problem with the product I can count on them knowing what the problem is and taking care of it with a smile. I know everyone who works there and most of them know me.*The above was true UNTIL Tues. March **th **** at around *:** to *:**pm. I went in (obvious to anyone) disabled, cold and tired to have a copy made from my computer. An employee came over BRIAN ORTIZ, (shabbily dressed, short pony tail on top of his head with the rest scraggily hanging down around his face and neck). I told him what I wanted and asked if he could help me. He was very short, snippy and seemed very arrogant. I suspect because it was *:**pm and almost time for him to get off work. He couldn't figure out what I wanted, then said it couldn't be done. He was going back and forth between me and other customers (which I didn't mind), I asked him for the manager or another employee hoping I could get someone a little nicer that knew what they were doing. His reply was - HE was the manager and there was no-one else in the store. While he was checking out another a (very nice, professional) employee came over to me (in fact there WAS another employee in the store) and asked what I needed. He figured out the problem and promptly printed the copy I wanted. While he and I were talking - BRIAN came over, interrupted us and told me I might as well leave the store - refused to help me anymore because I was rude and he wasn't supposed to be touching my computer anyway. I was shocked! I replied - YOU are the one who was nasty to me - that's why I asked for someone else. I started crying and told him I'd needed to take a taxi to get there but he didn't care. He repeated "leave the store". Fortunately the other employee (wish I'd noticed his name but I'm sure it's documented) had already printed my copy.*I was beyond upset and furious to have had to deal with someone like BRIAN ORTIZ. That IS NOT the Office Depot I'd been visiting for the last ** plus years. I also can't believe Office Depot would ever tolerate such an employee - let alone make him a manager. Thanks to him, I will NEVER NEVER go in that store again, or any other Office Depot store for that matter, even though it IS only * blocks from my house. I'll use Amazon from now on. They have longer protection plans anyway.*Very disappointed*Bev Bona****-***-****
