Hello OfferUp, I have been attempting to contact you, but it has been challenging to speak with someone to address my issues. I am unsure about what steps to take next. The issue at hand is as follows: I purchased a sewing machine from a seller yesterday who assured me it was in perfect condition. This is my second purchase on your platform, and the first item I bought worked flawlessly, which is why I decided to buy another one. However, this sewing machine didn't work properly the entire day. I informed the seller that if the issue persisted, I would return the item for a refund. Since then, she has stopped responding to my messages. After reaching out again, she accused me of harassing her and threatened to report me. I have attached screenshots of our conversations. I am hoping for a response and a resolution as I spent $80 on an item that is not functioning correctly.

After clicking on a link to purchase an electric standing desk, I noticed the vendor's email name seemed suspicious - [redacted] I completed the payment through PayPal, but the vendor's details have left me uneasy. I have reached out to PayPal for assistance, but I am yet to receive a response. I urge your team to monitor the advertisements on your platform to ensure they are not fraudulent. After posting an item for sale, I came across an offer promising to help me sell faster with a 3-day free trial. I thought it was worth trying since it was free initially. However, upon signing up and entering my debit card details, I was immediately charged the full $19.00. This unexpected charge has caused me some frustration as it wasn't what I expected. I'm unsure of what steps to take next to resolve this issue.

I am facing an issue on OfferUp where my posts are not visible to others, and likewise, I am unable to get responses from sellers when I try to inquire about their listings. I am having trouble logging in. I attempted to access my account from my PC, but I could not receive the code sent to my broken phone, resulting in being locked out for 24 hours. The main issue is that I cannot communicate with the person I had planned to purchase another phone from tomorrow. I tried to log in to my OfferUp account today to contact her and request an earlier purchase due to my phone being inactive. Unfortunately, my account got locked because I could not provide the code. I then transferred my SIM card to another phone to retrieve the PIN, but this led to being blocked for another 24 hours. As a result, I am unable to access my account or contact the seller as promised. I am urgently looking to buy a phone today. Hello, I am a user of the OfferUp app. While I mostly sell items, I occasionally make purchases. I am concerned because whenever I list something for sale, I am bombarded by numerous scammers. Given my background as a securities lawyer, I can identify fraudulent activity, but others may not be as savvy. The high number of scammers has eroded my trust in the app and damaged its reputation. I suggest implementing measures like requiring users to submit a photo ID or link their bank account to improve safety. This issue is troubling me, and I urge the app to take action. Thank you.

I encountered a situation while trying to buy a Nintendo Switch from a seller named "John." Initially listed at $[redacted] with $7.99 shipping, I made an offer which he officially rejected. Suspecting he was avoiding OfferUp protection, I communicated with John via email. He agreed to $[redacted] with shipping, mentioning he prefers Cash App or Zelle due to being out of town and offering 24-hour FedEx shipping. Despite my suggestion of using PayPal, he initially requested $[redacted]. After a back-and-forth about payment methods, I sent $[redacted], where he claimed to have shipped the item, holding it until I pay an additional $40 for shipping costs. When I questioned this unexpected charge, he insisted on the extra payment, causing unwarranted stress and confusion. Despite providing evidence through emails and texts, John's uncooperative behavior and demands have left me feeling uncertain about the transaction's legitimacy.

It appears that I contacted Offerup via email regarding an issue with the telephone verification process. The email clearly stated that I am unable to log in due to the verification codes not being accepted by the website. I specifically asked for guidance on how to bypass the cellphone verification. I experienced repeated communication errors and various error codes each time I attempted to log in. Even emailing Offerup encountered the same issue with phone verification. I suggested that Offerup either make the website accept the codes sent via email or provide assistance on how to overcome this cellphone verification obstacle. I mentioned trying troubleshooting steps with no success. It seems that Offerup is requesting further details on how they can address and rectify this situation.

I want to report a seller named Carson Freng. I purchased ski boots from him, but the plastic on the heel and toe pads broke when I used them for the first time, completely ruining my ski day. This is why I am seeking a refund. Additionally, the seller promised a bag along with the ski boots, but it was not included in the package. I have yet to receive the promised bag, which is another reason I am requesting a refund.

I am experiencing several issues with my and my daughter's accounts. Firstly, I am not receiving notifications for messages on my account. I have to check each individual post to see if there are any messages. Additionally, buyers cannot view our message history conversations and must go back to the original post to send additional messages. My posts are being removed without explanation, and my account has been deactivated multiple times for violating policies, despite no changes to my activity in weeks or months. I have sent over 40 emails but have only received automated responses assuring a review from the team, with no further follow-up. Any help would be appreciated. For the past week, I've been having issues with my OfferUp account. Normally, I get 40-60 views daily on my plant postings, but suddenly, I'm receiving zero views. I tried logging out and back in, but the platform wouldn't accept my usual email address. After contacting OfferUp customer service, I was told there might be a secondary email associated with my account, which isn't the case. Despite their reassurance that the technical error was fixed, I still can't access my account. It's been eight days now, and as this app is crucial for my sales, I'm losing business. I'm considering asking OfferUp to deactivate my account so I can start anew with the same email address through Google. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I responded to an ad for an open-box washer and dryer priced at $[redacted]. When I arrived, they were clearly used, but I needed a washing machine urgently and decided to purchase them anyway. The washer leaked, was rusted on the bottom, and made a lot of noise. I contacted the seller to express my disappointment and frustration, even though I acknowledge my comment about karma wasn't appropriate. The seller offered for me to return the appliances the next morning but ignored my follow-up message about requesting a refund and eventually blocked me.

I have been selling on OfferUp for quite some time and just noticed that I have not received any payments for the items I sold. My debit card was set up for payments only, but no deposits were ever made to the card. After checking my account, I found out that there are over [redacted] sales pending payment, totaling well over $1,[redacted]. I need this issue resolved urgently. I am willing to provide my PNC bank account details to OfferUp so they can transfer the funds there. I want to make sure that all these outstanding payments are sent to my PNC bank account before updating my payment information on OfferUp. Thank you. - DK

I am frustrated with the seller who misrepresented the weight of the package, resulting in an additional $20.85 shipping fee on top of the $3.49 I already paid. When I questioned the size discrepancy, the seller claimed to have rounded off the measurement, which wasn't indicated in the ad. The actual size of 3.6" was unusable to me rather than the stated 4". After attempting to return the item, I discovered the Offerup shipping label didn't cover the cost, meaning I had to pay $20 for return shipping. Despite the seller's false representation of the item's weight at 8 ounces, when it was actually several pounds, they are only willing to reimburse me $3.49 out of the $40 total in shipping costs. The seller should be held accountable for these misleading details.

Hello, my name is Brian Watson, and I'm having trouble reactivating my old OfferUp account linked to the email [redacted] I encountered an error code preventing me from accessing the account. In the meantime, I created a new account ([redacted]) while waiting for this issue to be resolved. OfferUp notified me that I couldn't have multiple accounts and so I promptly deactivated the new one. It has now been 2-3 weeks, and my original account is still inaccessible. I'm uncertain if my old account was deactivated because I switched devices or for another reason. Maintaining a 5-star rating and positive reviews on my old OfferUp account is vital to me, so I urgently need to regain access to it. Thank you, Brian Watson.

The email clarifies that I have five days for inspection before the money is released to the seller, mentioning the owner as Mia Evans, emphasizing the legality of the sale, and reassuring the item is not stolen. The email states the car will come with necessary documents for registration and promises a full refund if unsatisfied with the purchase. I am hesitant to send more money until I verify the authenticity of this email from Offer Up.

I listed a swing set for sale on Offer Up. I have been receiving inquiries from interested buyers and answering their questions. However, I am facing an issue with replying to messages. When I respond, the message appears to be sent on my PC, but it disappears when I return to the page. On my iPhone and iPad, I get an error message prompting me to try tapping again, but the message does not go through. Can anyone suggest a solution to resolve this messaging problem?
