I purchased a motorcycle in person that was advertised as operational, needing only a rear end. However, upon closer inspection at home, I discovered numerous issues. The wiring harness is shredded, the ignition keyhole seems tampered with, the front brakes are damaged, and the spark plug is disconnected. I have been unable to reach the seller for a refund or return.

I sold Crescent Rachins, but the payment was allegedly sent to an expired debit card account. The bank has no record of any transactions from OfferUp. I am frustrated with the incompetent staff at OfferUp for not following up properly on this issue. I am seriously annoyed at the lack of confidence and follow-through. The amount in question is a simple $13 and change. I need OfferUp to track down the payment and provide proof that it was sent to me correctly. I don't want any more excuses or vague information. I want concrete evidence that the payment was made. Please resolve this as soon as possible.

I purchased three items last night between 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. All the offers were accepted, and I had paid for them. Today, I received a notification about the cancellation of one item and was logged out from the app. The items were: 1. Batman Arkham PS4 game for $10 with shipping 2. PS4 bundle with 2 controllers and games included for $[redacted] with shipping 3. PS4 Red Dead Redemption and PS4 Spider-Man games for $52 with shipping I received a refund for the PS4 bundle, but I wanted to buy all those items. I am unable to log in to my account because it shows an API error.

I bought a PS5 from Phillip Roberts on 11/29/[redacted]. He asked for payment via Zelle, but the maximum was $[redacted], and I was supposed to send $[redacted] the next day. He replied to my messages promptly until I sent the money, then he stopped responding. I reported the issue on November 30, [redacted], and got no response. On December 1, [redacted], he deleted his profile, and our messages disappeared. When we called the number [redacted], he disconnected the call. I never received the product and am looking for a refund. I believe I should receive a refund since I reported the scam promptly. I reached out again about a week later but still haven't received a reply. Thank you, Emma J. Cathy C. [redacted] [redacted]

Hello, I purchased a picture from a seller on this platform, but it arrived damaged. I contacted the seller, who agreed to refund me. Unfortunately, I made a mistake when opening the case, leading to the seller denying it. I tried reaching out to customer service twice about this issue, but I never received a response. I was hoping someone could take a look at my case and provide assistance as I have been waiting for a resolution without success. Thank you for your time.

I'm looking for advice on how to prevent advertisements from appearing in my email and messages. I prefer not to receive promotions or offers from stores in my messages. I use OfferUp for buying and selling items with individuals, so I'm only interested in searching for products sold by people rather than in-store deals. Any tips on how to filter out store promotions and focus on individual listings would be greatly appreciated.

Every time I try to make an offer, it requests another phone number for verification, but I only have one cell phone. When my son made an offer using his old cell phone number that's no longer in service, I canceled his account and attempted to create my own. However, it continues to prompt me for an additional phone number. I am eager to engage in selling and purchasing on OfferUp, but unfortunately, I am unable to create an account. Additionally, it seems my son used my email [redacted], so I created a Gmail account, but OfferUp doesn't seem to accept Gmail addresses.

I bought a Fire HD10 tablet from BeCourteous on 12/17 for $95.96 with transaction #[redacted]4. A shipping label was created, but tracking shows it was never shipped. I've contacted the seller twice with no response. Offerup asked the seller to ship the item with no success. The lack of communication is unprofessional. I find this situation fraudulent and demand action be taken against the seller. Upon checking the seller's other listings, it appears they are actively selling other items.

I sold an item and keep getting "action required" emails. After entering my birth date and last 4 digits of my SSN in the app multiple times, nothing changes when I hit submit. It keeps looping me back to the same task. I'm concerned about whether I'll receive payment. I expected the process to update automatically or at least confirm no further action is needed. I have just 3 days to ship the item, yet uncertainty lingers about payment. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Every time I try to refresh my page on the OfferUp app to see if there are any new items, the latest messages I send to sellers seem to disappear after a certain number of messages between us. For example, the last message I received from a seller was yesterday at 4 PM asking me a question. When I went to respond, all messages after that one were gone. I also encountered problems with a community guidelines error code when I typed the word "yes." Although the message stayed after that, when I closed the app at night and reopened it, the conversation history was missing those messages. Now, I don't know if the seller received my previous messages expressing my interest in their item. I am new to this site and becoming frustrated because of these issues. Could someone please assist me with this matter promptly?

I recently posted an item for sale and quickly received a message from a potential buyer, Alice A. Davis, asking to purchase it. She sent me a five-digit code to verify the authenticity of the ad. The message indicated not to share the code. I'm curious about the code's purpose and how it was generated.

On Monday, December 31, around 5:30 pm, I, Sydney from San Diego, California, placed an order for a formal dress with a bracelet on one of your listings for $12. Immediately, I printed the shipping label that was emailed to me and took it to my local shipping location as usual. After paying $1 for the label with Orbitco in Berkeley Springs, WV, the label was affixed and scanned at the store. However, OfferUp started sending multiple messages asking to send a package already shipped, causing concern given the holiday week and a snowstorm. Despite the difficulties in reaching out to local shipping due to closures, I contacted Sydney through OfferUp to inform her of the shipment on December 25. Unfortunately, on Sunday, I received an email stating my order was canceled due to alleged non-shipment. Despite efforts to resolve this with OfferUp, contacting them remained challenging. Following consultation with the local shipping store and verifying shipment status, my concern remains unresolved. I have faced financial loss, time-consuming efforts, and frustration in this process and hope to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you.

While using the Offerup app or website, people are not receiving the messages or offers I am sending. To investigate, I asked my son-in-law to list an item, and when I tried to send messages or offers, they were not visible. I've attempted to troubleshoot by switching from an iPhone X to an iPad mini. The issue began after updating the app, but oddly persists on the web version too. It seems like there may be a problem with my account as messages and offers show as sent and delivered but are never viewed. After trying various methods to contact Offerup for help, I have not received any responses. This difficulty in communication is impacting my ability to resell items purchased through Offerup, which is crucial for my business. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

I recently made an offer on OfferUp and the seller accepted. They mentioned they are having issues with the website regarding shipping. They claimed they couldn't ship a box of that size and were unable to print a shipping label. After 24 hours of no response to my messages, I am still hoping to purchase the item. I will wait another 12 hours before taking any further action. It seems like the seller hasn't seen my messages, and I find their shipping concerns confusing since preparing and mailing a package seems straightforward. Thanks, Morgan.

On December 12, [redacted], I purchased a glute ham bench on OfferUp manufactured by Nautilus. I received an order confirmation from a company called Sicluft at [redacted] for order #[redacted]. Later on December 22, [redacted], I received another email supposedly with a tracking number from Sicluft. The email address on this message is [redacted] Despite attempts, I couldn't retrieve the entire email or the tracking number, which seems to be invalid. I have reached out via email to both addresses provided above without receiving any response. Concerned about potential fraud, I did some research and suspect that Sicluft may not be legitimate. Their initial communication mentioned delays due to the pandemic, but it has been over two months with no update. The purchase price was $69.99 before tax, inclusive of shipping. The product no longer appears on the website, and I haven't received the item. I am looking for assistance in resolving this matter promptly. I kindly request that the ordered product be delivered to me by February 15, [redacted], in new condition, securely wrapped, and in its original packaging as it was shipped. Sincerely, P.V.

I recently sold a Miller welder through your site, but the shipping fee charged was significantly lower than the actual cost. The buyer paid in full through your site, but the shipping charge was $20 while the true cost came to $80, which the buyer cash app'd. I have shipped the item to AZ and have proof of shipment with a receipt. However, I discovered today that the transaction was canceled, even though the welder has already been sent and may have even arrived. I was expecting $[redacted] to be deposited into my account after the sale, but now I am unsure about the funds. How can we resolve this issue? How do I provide you with the shipping receipt for verification?

The buyer is M.D. He bought my PS3 bag. Here is the original conversation. He messaged me asking specifically for the bag, and that's what we agreed on. I confirmed the purchase before shipping it. Now he's threatening to contact OfferUp support for a refund, which is not justified. I will not send another item that was not agreed upon. I do not wish to issue a refund for this misunderstanding or be reported for something I am not responsible for. I have detailed documentation of our conversation. Please reach out so I can provide it to you, unless it's already accessible on your end. I request that the buyer ceases harassment and I am considering reporting them for attempting to scam me. Please contact me at [redacted]

Hello, I am John Helm. I recently attempted to purchase a vehicle on OfferUp from a person named Jennifer O'Brien in El Cajon, California. I was directed to make payments through Best Buy cards, first for the vehicle and then for a security deposit and shipping insurance. It became apparent I was being scammed when additional payments were requested. Despite my attempts to contact them, the scammers have stopped responding. I would like my money back as soon as possible. It seems they have removed the ad from my messages, but I still have some Gmails from them as evidence. I hope to connect with someone who can help resolve this issue promptly using the information I have gathered. Thank you for your assistance. John Helm.

I visited this site two months ago, and it was acceptable. There were a few listings that were not ideal, but overall, it was bearable. I had intentions of selling items on this platform. However, I have noticed that the OfferUp app is now overwhelmingly filled with advertisements, rather than actual offers, which legally constitutes as an invitation to treat. I am starting to question if this platform is meant for individual sellers like myself or if it has transformed into a hub for large retailers and box stores. I am considering closing my account if I can no longer easily search for items for sale. When I searched for "bicycle," I expected to see numerous listings, but instead, I only found around 20 sellers amidst a long list of ads for new bicycles. Whether these excess ads are posted by users or by the site itself, it seems that the platform lacks proper regulation. I am giving a week for a response, after which I will deactivate my account. I am even contemplating launching a social media campaign to highlight these issues and urge others to leave the platform. While eBay might be a giant, I believe there is a chance for change here, and I am willing to fight for it now, rather than wait until it's too late. I hope my concerns do not go unnoticed. - R. Witt

I recently sold a power drill on OfferUp and shipped it to an out-of-state buyer using their shipping label service. The buyer contacted me, claiming the package arrived empty, suggesting the drill fell out during transit. This poses a risk of the buyer trying to keep the merchandise and get a refund during the two-day inspection period. I need guidance on how to address this and prevent any financial loss due to a possible scam. Your help in resolving this matter is appreciated. Thank you.
