I was attempting to make an offer on a carpet cleaner while running errands. I provided my cell number to the seller for coordinating the address via text. However, when I replied to arrange a meeting, I received multiple notifications stating that I breached community guidelines. I have limited time to handle this due to impending work obligations for the next six days. It seems unreasonable to be reprimanded for sharing contact information to facilitate a quick purchase while on the go. The platform's advice of waiting 48 hours or using a computer to message is impractical since I am away from home. Please review my account and the message I sent, as there was nothing inappropriate in my attempt to make a swift purchase. My account is registered under [redacted] and my cell number is [redacted].

I made a payment for a vehicle I was buying. When I contacted the seller, she assured me the delivery process would begin soon and that OfferUp would reach out to guide me through the purchase. OfferUp then asked for a payment for the merchandise. Following this, I received an email stating an $[redacted] insurance fee to secure the purchase, with a promise of a full refund upon delivery. I complied, sending payments via eBay gift cards. It has been a week, and I am awaiting contact from OfferUp to schedule the delivery. I am concerned about the status of my payment and the delivery. Payment Invoice Case # [redacted]27. Seller: Tamara B. Hazan, [redacted] S. 54th st., Omaha, NE [redacted]. Buyer: Will N., [redacted] Morgan ave, Los Angeles, California [redacted].

I recently sold an item, but while I was away, the buyer was kind enough to wait for me to ship it upon my return. Unfortunately, OfferUp cancelled the order because it was not shipped within three days. The buyer is still eager to receive the item, even though the order was cancelled. It would be beneficial if OfferUp allowed for more flexibility in situations like this, where both sellers and buyers are willing to accommodate each other's needs. I hope to find out if there is still a way for me to send the item to the buyer without them being charged twice. On a related note, it appears that the status remains as "pending" until the item is shipped.

There is someone named Hope sharing my address, [redacted] Buster St. Simi Valley, CA, falsely selling a motorcycle. Numerous visitors have come to my house, confused about items not actually for sale. This has been ongoing for months, escalating to potential police involvement due to the misunderstandings. Could the platform please verify users' information to prevent this issue in the future? I urgently need this to cease.

I have been waiting for almost a week for a transaction made on Cash App. The seller refused to use my credit card through OfferUp and has now stopped communicating with me. I requested the phone, which I paid for with $[redacted] from my Chase Bank debit card, but have been unable to resolve the issue with my bank as Cash App is considered a third party. I have exhausted all other options to contact Cash App but have not been successful. I urgently need assistance as $[redacted] is a significant amount for me right now. The confusion is exacerbated by my current cell phone crashing, leaving me unable to access the transaction details.

I reached out to a seller on OfferUp regarding a car inquiry. After following the seller's instructions to email, I received details about the car and an invoice with seller information. Following instructions, I purchased eBay gift cards for payment and submitted pictures to OfferUp. Despite being asked for a tracking number, one hasn't been provided. I am finding it difficult to reach both seller and OfferUp, and the car listing has been inconsistent. Unsure of the next steps, I paid for insurance and am now unsure of the legitimacy of the transaction. Seeking clarification and assistance as I paid $[redacted] for the car and $[redacted] for insurance, with expectations of a full insurance refund upon car delivery.

I am disappointed that there is no customer service phone number available. My daughter, W.F., posted an Android computer online for sale at $[redacted]. Despite it being her first time using the app, she expected to receive payment. Believing she had been supplied with a shipping label, I, on my FedEx account, sent the item through FedEx for $70, trusting the platform to ensure payment. When my daughter followed up, she discovered the funds were not released. After she contacted OFFER UP, they claimed the transaction was canceled because we used FedEx for shipping and denied payment. This is unacceptable. I demand reimbursement for the new item I shipped. I have evidence of shipping and delivery. If this is not resolved promptly, legal action may be taken. Ticket number: [redacted]3.

I shipped an order, but OfferUp didn't receive the scan and sent a reminder. Despite delivering the item today, I got a message saying the order was canceled. It's frustrating not being able to upload tracking info. Other buyers are facing similar issues. Please refund the owed amount. The tracking number is [redacted][redacted][redacted] for a vintage safari perfume spray in my account under "Litsa." I've been using OfferUp since [redacted], and this shipping problem is new to me.

I am facing an issue with a seller on OfferUp who is overcharging for shipping. OfferUp set the shipping fee at $13.99, but the seller insists on an additional $50 due to the item's 15-pound weight. When I referred the seller to the guidelines, he demanded the extra payment or threatened to cancel the deal. I refused to be taken advantage of and am seeking a way to report this behavior. The seller, Mike K of Los Angeles, CA, disregarded the agreed-upon price for his Bose product by requesting more money for shipping. This experience has led me to opt out of the purchase, avoiding overpayment to Mile K in Los Angeles, CA.

Hello, I recently bought a PlayStation 4 Pro bundle, but the next day it showed as an unavailable item since the seller's account was deleted. I made the purchase through the OfferUp website using my credit card saved on my account for protection under your guarantee. I'm confused about why I have to wait five days for a refund when both I and OfferUp know that I won't be receiving the item. Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I am eagerly awaiting your response.

Hello, I'm a new user on OfferUp and have had successful sales while preparing to move out of state. Unfortunately, my account suddenly stopped working just as a buyer was confirming a pick-up for a Queen bed frame. All my offers vanished, and now when I try to message a buyer, I receive an error message stating "Item not available. error code: L9QN04PE." There were no notifications from OfferUp about the removal of my offers, and they mainly included household items like a wall clock or accent mirror. I'm unable to contact the buyer or access my account through Facebook on my computer. This issue is extremely urgent for me due to my impending move. Despite several attempts, I couldn't verify through TruYou as it reported difficulty accessing the server. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I recently sold a Cuckoo 6-Cup Induction Heating Pressure Rice Cooker-Ivory/Gold on Offerup to a user named Joseph on 7/16. The item was shipped out via USPS with tracking number [redacted][redacted]30. Unfortunately, there were issues with the tracking information not updating, leading to the sale being automatically cancelled by Offerup on 7/22. Despite Joseph receiving the package after the cancellation, I have not received the $75 payment for the order. I reached out to Offerup's customer service via email a week ago but have not received a response yet.

On July 29, [redacted], a buyer named Williams contacted me shortly after I listed an item for sale on OfferUp. Williams expressed interest in paying with a certified company check. Surprisingly, Williams swiftly produced a check for $1,[redacted], combining my asking price of $[redacted] with supposed moving expenses owed to them. Sensing something was amiss, I engaged in further conversation with Williams, who claimed to be relocating to NYC soon and planned to have a mover pick up the item while covering the balance with the check provided. However, my bank flagged the check as fraudulent, prompting me to seek advice from the forum on how to handle this situation. Williams, who can be reached at [redacted], followed up today inquiring about the check deposit, to which I have not responded. The check also bears the suspicious endorsement "for mobile deposit only." I sought guidance on dealing with potential check fraud and alerting the authorities to this matter. Your prompt assistance is greatly appreciated. Dillon

On July 24, [redacted], I bought a [redacted] Honda Civic from elisa@king822, with the seller named Lianie. I communicated with James at [redacted], who managed the payment of $[redacted] for the vehicle and $[redacted] for shipping and insurance. James assured me the car would be delivered by August 1, [redacted]. Despite paying him $[redacted] through eBay gift cards, I have not received the car, and it's still listed on Offerup. I've tried calling James numerous times, but he rarely answers or abruptly hangs up. Feeling uneasy, I filed a police report following Offerup’s guidance; the incident report number is [redacted]. Despite multiple reports to Offerup, I haven't received any assistance.

I am facing an issue with 3 unpaid orders on OfferUp. The orders were listed under my account and marked as sold. The buyers received the items, were satisfied, but the payment was not released. Despite contacting OfferUp and being assured the matter would be resolved, each email and call seemed to result in missing information from my account. I have screenshots to provide as evidence. I tried emailing OfferUp directly but faced issues. If not resolved within 48 hours, I may escalate this by contacting law enforcement via a link I found online. I hope to resolve this without taking that step, as I sent out $[redacted] worth of items that were not paid for despite the buyers' confirmation of receiving them.

I placed 3 orders that have not been paid for, but the buyers have confirmed receiving them. One buyer even attempted to purchase twice to assist me, yet no payment has been made. I searched online for how to reach support, and I called a 1-[redacted] number where I spoke with a representative named Alex. He assured me there would be a refund issued to my account. However, each time I speak with someone, more items seem to be marked as sold or disappear from my account. Fortunately, I have screenshots of the order numbers for all transactions. Please get in touch with me regarding this matter. I have all the necessary order numbers. Thank you.

Hi, I need assistance with a recent purchase issue. On July 24, I bought a Honda Civic from Elisa King on Offerup. The transaction seemed legitimate as both Elisa and I were verified members on eBay, and I received an invoice with a supposed eBay case ID [redacted]-BVD-[redacted]97. However, when I contacted eBay, they denied any involvement. I paid $[redacted] for the car and $[redacted] for shipping and insurance. James, the person handling the sale, assured me of a refundable $[redacted] deposit upon delivery. Despite multiple calls to Offerup, including speaking with Michael and Corben, who provided tracking numbers and delivery promises, the car was never received. James has been unresponsive, and Offerup's support, like Brad DeOsta, only redirected me to verify my credit cards. I have reported this scam to local police, FBI, and Offerup but have yet to receive a resolution. The vehicle is still listed on Offerup with the same scammer's contact details. It seems Offerup may be connected to this scheme, and I am desperate to get my money back.

I purchased an iPad Pro for $[redacted] from Csteez, who assured me it would be shipped promptly. However, the deadline passed, and I have not received the item. I have documentation of our conversations and have taken steps to report the incident to my bank and Apple Pay. I am seeking assistance in obtaining Csteez's real name to involve local authorities in resolving this matter. Despite Csteez being a trusted member on the platform, he has not responded to my messages, and the iPad is still listed on his profile. Contacting OfferUp has proven challenging as there is no direct phone number available. I have provided all the necessary evidence and details through email but have not received a response. Your help in addressing this issue is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello and good day, I have been engaging in a conversation via messages and learned that I might have breached the Offerup guidelines. Upon closer inspection of the guidelines, I identified where I made an error. Specifically, it mentions not sharing links to other third-party apps. I mistakenly sent a link to verify the authenticity of shoes to a seller for reference regarding fakes, replicas, copies, or pricing comparisons. I regret this oversight. I am wondering if there is a way for me to continue using the app. I have found great utility in using the app recently, helping me declutter and make ends meet during these challenging times. I aspire to rectify the situation and adhere strictly to the guidelines. I apologize for the oversight in my previous communication. Kindly advise me on how to address this matter or if there is a possible resolution. Thank you for your attention. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to hearing from you soon.

I recently sold a luxury Louis Vuitton purse on OfferUp which was authenticated by What Goes Around Comes Around. Even though the purse was damaged and an older model, I priced it low and clearly described the flaws in the listing. I made it known that the money from the sale was going to charity and sold it "as is." The buyer asked questions, and I provided answers to the best of my knowledge. After agreeing on a price of $[redacted], the buyer received the item, but then filed a claim saying it wasn't as expected, despite it matching the description and photos provided, including the key, lock, and authentication card. I am unsure why she filed the claim since she knew about the broken strap. I feel taken advantage of and worry about being scammed. I just want to ensure I receive the agreed-upon money from the sale.
