My account was closed without explanation, despite having a legitimate company with a registered EIN in CA. I sell authentic Designer retail items with no customer complaints. Last year, I faced stalking, domestic violence, and identity theft in MN. I changed my company name and registered in CA to avoid issues. I have a clean purchasing record and verify my identity with Tru You using my valid DL. They mention a serious risk, but without details or asking for my EIN. I suspect someone is sabotaging me by impersonating me. It's frustrating not to have a clear reason for this situation.

Yesterday, I made an offer for an item on the OfferUp platform, the seller agreed, and I paid for it. However, this morning I received a message stating that my money was returned due to a rule violation, which resulted in my account being restricted. I was trying to purchase a Lionel train for $70 that was listed for $[redacted]. I communicated with the seller about the incorrect address and provided the right one. Unfortunately, I am unable to access my purchased items or make any changes to my bank information. I am confused about why my account was restricted after this transaction since I have always followed the rules as a buyer. I am 58 years old and would like clarification on this situation from OfferUp.

I made a purchase on OfferUp on 5/2/[redacted] for Transaction number [redacted], but the order was cancelled. $17.94 was debited from my checking account on 5/4/[redacted], and I have not received a refund yet. The seller informed me that OfferUp is responsible for issuing the refund. When can I expect my money back? Do I need to seek assistance from another regulatory authority regarding these business practices?

I recently sold two items on OfferUp, and the shipping label provided by the platform was used to successfully deliver the items to the customer in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, OfferUp seems to have a different shipping label with different tracking information, causing confusion. The customer in Las Vegas is satisfied with the humidifiers received and wants to rate me as the seller, but OfferUp does not recognize that the order has been delivered. This results in no option for the customer to rate me, and consequently, I cannot rate them as the buyer. Despite this, OfferUp has released the money I earned for the sale. This situation is incredibly frustrating and confusing. I would appreciate any assistance with resolving this issue.

Hello, I recently joined OfferUp as a new user. Last Friday, May 15, [redacted], I made an offer for an Apple TV from a seller named Zanaiya. The total amount was $[redacted] including tax and shipping. I tried to negotiate the price down to $[redacted], and after some back and forth, we agreed on that price. I paid through Venmo but never received a tracking number. Upon checking, I realized the seller had deleted our messages and her account was deactivated on OfferUp. I am seeking assistance in recovering my money as I believe I have been scammed. The seller's Venmo name is listed as Salley Brunson instead of Zanaiya. I urge the platform to investigate and prevent her from scamming others. Thank you for your help in this matter. It's a difficult time, especially during the pandemic, and I really wanted to purchase that Apple TV for entertainment. - Ofra Amram

I met with the seller the week of May 9th to buy the Apple Watch Series 5 he had listed. When I bought it, the watch appeared to work fine. The seller, Michael, said it needed a better Wi-Fi signal to be fully connected to my device. I trusted him and he gave me his email for any future issues. Once home, I tried to pair the watch and found it was still linked to another device. I contacted Michael through OfferUp but he said he couldn't help and I offered to meet him during his lunch break which he declined. After days of no response, I reported him to OfferUp and plan to file a police report today.

I am unsure why, but I seem to have 3 separate accounts associated with 3 different email addresses. I started selling on OfferUp. However, when trying to log in, I cannot access the account that is verified with my email, phone, true view, and numerous items for sale. Despite this, the correct information for the items I'm selling does appear when searched, along with other items for sale. I can even message back and forth. The email addresses linked to these accounts are: [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] When attempting to log in or get verified, I am informed that the email address belongs to someone else. I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you. - DB

I have noticed that currently, there are 50-[redacted] Oxygen-related items listed on OfferUp. I tried to post a similar item a few times, but it was removed along with all my other items. Now I am unable to post anything at all. I am confused about why this has happened when other users seem to be able to list Oxygen-related items. I would appreciate a personalized response addressing my concerns instead of a generic one. Thank you.

I am having trouble accessing my OfferUp account. When I try to log in with my email address [redacted], it says there is no such account, but I know it exists. When I try to reset my pin, it still says there is no account. On my account, it shows my name as David with a picture of my white service animal wearing sunglasses. I can still see my listed items for sale. However, recently when I tried to post a Louis Vuitton Clutch and a Louis Vuitton small shoulder bag, they were removed without explanation. I have been able to post other items without any issues. I posted a message expressing my frustration, and although I can't log into my account, the message is still there. I can search for my items and send and receive messages. Thank you. - db

Hello, I'm experiencing an issue with my deactivated OfferUp account. I have several pending orders and am unable to track shipments or communicate with sellers. I've spent over $[redacted] and am eager to resolve this matter promptly. Please reactivate my account at your earliest convenience. I am willing to address any mistake made and ensure it won't happen again. I value using OfferUp and intend to continue purchasing items on the platform. I prefer resolving this directly rather than involving legal representation. I hope this is a simple system error that can be corrected swiftly, especially during these challenging times. Thank you for your assistance.

I have used OfferUp to sell items for a couple of years without any issues. However, recently, I have been unable to post new items for sale. Despite trying to post different items and reducing the number of pictures, the problem persists. I keep receiving the error message: "Something went wrong when communicating with the server. Wait a while and try again later. (Error code: G0XO1VX8)." I have confirmed that my internet connection is working well, and other selling apps are functioning correctly. I can still browse items for sale, chat, and make offers without any problems on OfferUp. I am hopeful that someone can assist me in resolving this posting issue so I can continue using the platform effectively. Thank you for your support.

Dear team, While discussing with Chris, we got disconnected, and despite explaining my situation multiple times, it remains unresolved. Consequently, I had to file a claim with my bank regarding the purse I received, which was not as advertised. The item had white paint stains, a strong cigarette smell, and even remnants inside. It was represented as a new Michael Kors purse, still tagged and unused, but it was clearly a knockoff. I paid $67.09 for the item plus $27.56 for shipping, totaling $94.65, and I am seeking a refund for this discrepancy. I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you.

I have a dump truck listed for sale on OfferUp. I have a buyer interested in purchasing it, but they need a way to get a temporary tag as they are in Charlotte, NC, while we are in the Outer Banks. Can you provide guidance on how they can secure a temporary tag, especially since the DMV is closed? Also, I am unsure about the percentage you take from the sale if the buyer pays in cash. They mentioned seeing the truck on OfferUp first, but I suspect they found it on Gregory Poole's site. Please clarify your fees and policies so I can proceed accordingly. Thank you, Lisa C.

I am reaching out here because I find myself at a loss. I recently made a purchase on your website. The seller instructed me to bring cash. When the fridge I bought stopped working 2 hours after delivery, a technician confirmed a faulty compressor due to the way it was transported lying down, mixing oils and freon. I promptly informed the seller who admitted to the problem and promised a $[redacted] refund, yet has not followed through despite various excuses about sending a money order. I have all these interactions documented in texts. Being without the refund for nearly three weeks is frustrating. I am troubled that your platform's payment advice could lead to such a situation. Any assistance you can provide in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated.

My son, Dylan Fletcher, ordered several items from a seller in CA totaling $[redacted]. However, all the boxes arrived empty. Despite following OfferUp's refund procedure, no resolution was found. Additionally, Dylan shipped items to 3 different buyers but did not use the OfferUp label, resulting in them not paying approximately $[redacted] for the items. The lack of assistance from OfferUp is concerning. I am Linda Fletcher, Dylan's mother, and I seek a resolution and contact information for OfferUp to address these issues promptly.

I purchased an item, and upon receiving it, I discovered it was severely damaged. The box used for packaging was exactly the same size as the item, without considering the handle, which was forcefully stuffed inside, causing damage to the zipper and crushing the box. I contacted the seller and informed them of the situation, expressing my disappointment. The seller mentioned the item should have been insured for $50, either by the post office or the sender. I am unsure how to send images of the damaged item and do not feel it is my responsibility to track down someone at the post office, as the seller packed the item. The seller has not responded since, and I cannot find the option to leave a rating.

I purchased a [redacted] Nissan Altima on your website for $[redacted] from a person named Lisa Carter. After being directed to pay $[redacted] for insurance through eBay Cars 2. 200h, I never received the car and realized it was a scam. I have all the documents she provided, including eBay cards. The incident occurred on the Offer Up platform, and I am seeking a refund immediately. This experience has been distressing, and I hope there are improved security measures in place to prevent such incidents in the future. I urge you to address this issue promptly and refund my money.

I need assistance concerning a serious matter involving a fraudulent transaction. A person named Daniel Hernandez, driving a vehicle with license plate [redacted] and reachable at [redacted], engaged in illegal activities. He misled me into purchasing a counterfeit Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 1TB smartphone for $1,[redacted]. After discovering the deception, I confronted him to resolve the issue, but he has been avoiding communication. The incident took place at Bank of America on Rural and Baseline in Tempe, AZ at 10:38am. Hernandez endangered others while driving recklessly to the bank. I have documented evidence of his actions. I urge to either get a refund for the misrepresented phone or obtain the genuine product. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I have been experiencing error messages related to a specific error code, preventing me from responding to messages. I am in urgent need of acquiring a chicken coop for my baby chicks in order to ensure their well-being. If it appears that I violated a policy by merely mentioning my gmail account, please understand that I interacted with someone on Craigslist and reached out to them through their website, not by sharing my email directly. I was striving to expedite the process and also acknowledge your company for facilitating the transaction. Although the previous item has been sold, I am interested in another one and aim to arrange a meeting for Tuesday afternoon when the weather is clear to avoid falling ill. Kindly assist me in obtaining the chicken coop. Thank you so much...Chris H. [redacted]

Just a heads up, my first sale on OfferUp went horribly wrong. I put up a couch for sale, and a person named Samuel Edward showed interest. They sent a check to cover the couch and moving expenses, but it turned out to be a scam using a stolen company's identity. They pressured me to use Zelle for a transfer, but thankfully my bank advised against it. Despite my concerns, I deposited the check and regretted it later. Unfortunately, I ended up losing money in this fraudulent scheme. Lesson learned. Beware of similar scams, especially involving furniture sales. Take care, Linnell Maier.
