I purchased a changing table for $40 plus a $20 delivery fee, but when it arrived, it was completely disassembled and missing essential pieces. One of the drawers had no bottom, rendering it useless, and the hamper was torn open on one side. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, the seller has been uncooperative. I offered to let them keep $20 for the delivery, but they have ignored me. Being 8 months pregnant, I feel taken advantage of and disappointed by this experience. I plan to discard the incomplete table and will need to purchase a new one. This encounter has shattered my trust in OfferUp and its sellers. The entire situation is truly upsetting.

I bought an item and explained it arrived damaged due to poor packaging. Despite sending photos, the seller is refusing to send a replacement. I recently sold a ring camera to a buyer out of state through OfferUp. Despite shipping the product promptly, the sale was unexpectedly canceled. The buyer received the package but claimed there were missing screws, requesting a further discount. I already reduced the price by $50 from the original $[redacted], and refusing to lower it any further, the buyer has now gone silent after the initial contact. Despite contacting OfferUp regularly with evidence and policies, they have not responded. I even attempted to involve law enforcement, but encountered difficulties. Clicking on new offers now leads to errors, compounding my frustration. I am deeply upset by this whole experience and feel the need to express my concerns to the founders of OfferUp in Seattle.

Yesterday, on November 19th, at around 5:00 pm, my account was compromised. Unauthorized messages were sent to multiple users without my knowledge, promoting a particular item and requesting a trade plus an additional $30. I took immediate action by changing my password and my account now appears to be secure. However, I am encountering an issue when trying to send messages due to a Community Guidelines violation error (Error code: R37KPRMM). As I have pending deposits and shipments, resolving this problem promptly is crucial. I have already contacted Offerup via email through their "contact me" feature but have not received a response yet.

I recently started using OfferUp and had my first sale. However, I encountered a scam involving a person named Jenet. She initially contacted me through the platform but then disappeared. Upon further investigation, I found her email address was [redacted] She sent me a long email asking for personal information under the guise of buying my item and later sent a counterfeit check. I contacted the check owner, Lyn Taylor, who confirmed the check was stolen. I have the check ready to send back to her. I'm concerned about my safety and wonder if I should involve the FBI. I'm also unsure how to report this user on OfferUp since I can't find her profile. Any advice would be appreciated.

Around 2 months ago, I agreed to sell an old school pager for $10. Unfortunately, due to a hospital stay, I couldn't ship it on time. After receiving an extension, I managed to send it off by the final day. I dropped it at a big blue mailbox near my grocery store without knowing the pickup times. Two days later, I received the tracking information. Although I was informed the transaction was canceled, I was told payment would still be made if the item was sent, and I got confirmation that the pager was delivered. However, I am still waiting for the payment. I've decided to only sell locally now because I can't trust non-local transactions for payment reliability.

We encountered a significant issue involving the sale of a used Thomas the Train set to a difficult customer we previously collaborated with. The transaction had to be split into two orders, with one being transaction [redacted]. After she made the payment and received the items, the customer claimed they were not as described and obtained a refund. Although she was supposed to return everything, today we only received half of the items in the box, indicating she kept some for herself. Yesterday morning, I encountered an issue while trying to respond to a message on the app. The text box for typing a response didn't appear as usual. After closing and reopening the app multiple times without success, I logged out and deleted the app hoping to resolve the problem by reinstalling it. However, upon trying to log back in, the app now claims my email is invalid. This is the same email address I've been using successfully for the past 2-3 months. I attempted to contact customer service by phone but learned the department was closed with no listed hours on the site. Please assist me promptly as I rely on the app frequently. I contacted "Carey" from Burleson regarding a [redacted] Holiday Rambler Endeavor and offered the $10,[redacted] he requested. I noticed his ad mentioned more photos, so I requested them. Instead of sending the pictures, he advised me to see the RV in person. I agreed and said I and my wife could be there by 1 p.m. He confirmed but later texted at 3 p.m., claiming he was busy building an engine. I explained my disappointment as I rearranged my schedule based on our agreed time. He responded defensively, stating he didn't have to sell to anyone and that his engine job was more profitable. I tried to clarify with respect, explaining my prior commitments, but he blocked me. Despite this, a friend confirmed the RV was still listed. This treatment is unprofessional and unfair. I remained respectful and committed to buying the RV with cash, despite the seller's behavior.

Hello, my name is Yesenia Martinez. I'm currently experiencing difficulties with my OfferUp account. I am aware of the 3 free vehicle postings allowed per month. I had successfully posted one a few weeks ago without any issues, and it is still active. Yesterday, I posted another vehicle for sale and received multiple inquiries within 5-10 minutes. However, when trying to respond to a message, the post suddenly showed it was no longer available with an error message. I attempted to repost it, but the same problem occurred. After several failed attempts, OfferUp started charging me to post, which I find unfair since my previous free postings didn't last more than 10 minutes. I urgently need assistance in fixing this issue as I had potential buyers interested in purchasing the vehicle quickly. I also tried posting on my husband's account, but encountered the same error, unsure why. I don't want to risk losing his remaining 2 free postings. Please help resolve this promptly.

Hello, I hope everything is going well for you. I recently fell victim to a scam and I am looking for assistance in retrieving my funds. The transaction was conducted through Apple Pay via messages. I have evidence in the form of screenshots of the scammer's initial post and our communication. The deception became apparent when the scammer blocked me on messages, and I noticed a similar fraudulent listing on OfferUp under a different name, which I also documented. Given that I used Apple Pay on messages, I am aware that OfferUp is not at fault in this situation. I believe that taking action could help prevent others from being scammed as well. Additionally, the scammer provided videos and photos supposedly showcasing past successful transactions. Any guidance on recovering my funds would be highly valued. I attempted to purchase 2 iPhone 8+ from a seller who went through the verification process. Unfortunately, after sending $[redacted] via cash app for half the payment, the seller blocked me and is not responding. There's no customer support available to help with this issue, and I feel let down by the lack of protection for customers. This experience has led me to believe that this app is careless when it comes to background checking sellers, despite numerous negative reviews citing similar problems. I will warn everyone I know about these scammers. It's frustrating that the company allows this to happen and lacks proper customer service.

I have been experiencing issues with my messages not being received by people, and some messages not showing when I post an ad. Additionally, when I try to send a message, I receive a notification that I am in violation of guidelines even though I never got the chance to send the message. While my ads are visible, I am unable to respond to incoming messages. These ongoing problems are frustrating, and I am considering closing my account and advising my friends and family to do the same due to these issues. I have always followed the rules and only aimed to help generate income, but these obstacles continue to disrupt my activities. Good afternoon, I am facing issues with filing a buyer's protection claim for transaction # [redacted]. The claim says the item has expired even though it was supposedly delivered today, 30Nov2019. However, I have not received it yet. There are discrepancies in the purchase - the seller is listed in Los Angeles but the item originated from Williamstown, NJ. Additionally, USPS stated the package weight as 0 lbs 8 oz for a [redacted] MacBook Pro 13", contradictory to Apple's specifications. I suspect a possible scam by the seller. I have contacted USPS and can provide the email response for verification. I am unable to message the seller or view notifications. USPS tracking shows delivery to a Parcel Locker, not my address. I was contacted by someone named Mikki claiming to sell a [redacted] Coachman Catalina. She provided an email address, but her messages have disappeared, making me suspicious. She mentioned an invoice from eBay for the camper, but when I checked with eBay, they had no record of it. It seems like a scam. My username on Offerup is pearlbish, and I wanted to inform the platform about this potential scam.

On November 5, [redacted], I made an offer to purchase an air pump from Haley. The transaction number was [redacted]. She accepted my offer of $[redacted].00 plus $7.00 for shipping, totaling $[redacted].00, which was charged to my Visa credit card ending in [redacted]. It appears you sent a mailing label to Haley, but she used her own funds to mail me the item. I have received the item and I am pleased with it. However, it seems Haley has not been paid yet. Could you please clarify the reason for this delay and advise on the necessary steps to ensure she receives payment?

However, following the transaction, I have not received any definitive confirmation of the purchase status. I noticed a pending transaction on my bank account, reflecting a zero balance. I am uncertain if this is a usual occurrence or if I am potentially being scammed. As a precaution, I have documented all correspondence and images related to the seller's listing for future reference.
