I just wanted to reach out and address the issue of receiving notifications for items your algorithm assumes I'm interested in simply because I'm selling a similar brand. This has become quite annoying. Additionally, I've tried to find a way to contact customer service through the app, but I can't seem to locate it. The information provided is not clear, and it's frustrating to navigate through. I attempted to seek help online, but the link led me back to the same unhelpful menu on the app. This experience has been very disappointing. I have decided to remove my listings from the app and discontinue using it for selling. I also plan to inform my substantial following about the app's poor design and service. This has been a letdown, and I believe improvements are necessary.

I am continuously receiving sexually inappropriate messages from a member on OfferUp. Despite my attempts to block or report them, the member deactivates their account to avoid consequences. This situation is causing me distress, and I believe it is unfair that my only option seems to be creating a new account due to this individual's behavior. I urge the platform to take immediate action to address this issue. I recommend that OfferUp gathers comprehensive personal information on its members and ensures that detailed profiles are provided to enhance safety and overall user experience, preventing such incidents in the future.

I sold two separate listings to a buyer named Dash. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of combining both listings into one. I printed a first-class mail label and tried to use it, but the package was over the USPS weight limit. I then bought a new media mail label and used it to ship the items. The buyer has confirmed receiving the items on time and has approved of their condition. I apologize for combining the items and causing confusion. Let's work together to resolve this and ensure payment is processed correctly. Thank you for your understanding.

I made an error with the shipping of an item I sold and paid for shipping myself. I don't believe this justifies withholding the payment. I am also having trouble entering my bank details. I have only been able to reach someone between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. I am simply asking for the money from the sale as I will cover the shipping costs. I am currently not employed, so I rely on this payment. I have more items to sell, but I prefer to resolve this payment first. I initially had a positive experience with OfferUp and recommended it to my friends. Please, I hope to receive assistance soon to avoid sharing negative feedback on social media. Grover E. [redacted]. I appreciate a prompt response.

I purchased a pressure washer from a seller who claims it was bought new a year ago and has missing parts. Despite his promise to provide the receipt and the parts, he failed to do so. After meeting him at a Target Shopping Center, I believed his story about the item needing minor repairs. However, the pressure washer still does not work, and he is unresponsive regarding the missing pieces and warranty. I am seeking advice on how to reclaim my funds from this situation. Thank you, A dismayed purchaser

I recently shipped 5 locks that a customer ordered from me, offering them a great deal with almost a $[redacted] discount. The total came to $[redacted] with shipping included. I have been selling items for a while without any problems, always honest and upfront. However, it seems like the customer may be trying to scam me. I have been getting numerous sketchy messages asking for my PayPal info and other details, even though I have not had issues like this before. I feel there should be more security measures in place on this platform to prevent scammers from taking advantage of sellers. In the meantime, I am waiting for the payment to be deposited, but there is a hold on it due to an inspection claiming there was an issue with the packages, which is not true.

Hello, I'm Paula Richerson from Clinton, MD [redacted]. I want to share my recent experience with a potential scam on Offer Up involving a [redacted] Toyota Camry XLE listed by someone claiming to be Patricia Meyers. The seller provided instructions to contact them via email at [redacted] as they wouldn't respond through Offer Up. Patricia Meyers explained that she was selling the car because her husband had passed away and she was being deployed overseas, hence the low price. She claimed to have involved ebay services to handle the transaction, requesting payment through ebay cards for the car and insurance. Sensing a scam, I stopped communication. Upon revisiting Offer Up, the listing was gone. If you have any information on this specific listing on October 22, [redacted], between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., it would be helpful. Please contact me at [redacted] or [redacted] Thank you. - Paula Richerson

I require assistance from a live person. I struggle with technical matters and need someone who can communicate in a non-technical way. A company representative was disrespectful and hanged up on me without addressing my concerns. I seek a human touch to help me resolve this issue as I am not proficient with computers. At 74 years old, I am not tech-savvy and need someone to listen to my problem and provide support. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I recently made a purchase online, and when my order arrived, I received a glue stick instead of the item I bought. I paid $35 for this order and feel disappointed by this false advertising. The seller is no longer active on the website, and I am unable to contact them to resolve this issue. I believe this situation is unfair and could happen to other customers as well. I have kept all my receipts and documentation.

I recently sold a coffee pot to a buyer who claims it arrived broken, but it was in good working condition when I shipped it. The buyer is particularly complaining about the drip tray, which I believe I did not mention in the listing. Originally priced at $40, I agreed to sell it for $25. The buyer is now seeking a refund. How should I proceed in this situation?

My account is currently suspended due to a complaint that I believe is unfair and outdated. I used my phone number to track a package from out of state, as I also sell and ship items across state lines, a service that the platform profits from. With my account suspended, it's challenging to track my incoming order, leave feedback for the buyer, and ensure a smooth transaction. In my experience, this platform has the worst customer service I've encountered. Coming from a background in customer management in the hospitality industry, I understand the importance of running a business well and treating customers properly, especially those who contribute to the platform. I hope to speak with a human representative, as I've sent multiple emails without a single reply or confirmation. I'm left in limbo, waiting for my order and unable to post new items or make purchases.

I purchased a Keurig K150 from seller Lee B on 10/29/19, listed as new. Upon arrival, the machine was visibly used and dirty, not as advertised. Despite my attempts to address this with the seller, he maintains it was new and unused, only opened for photos. After discovering it was previously registered and had extensive usage hours, I asked for a return. I promptly reported the issue to OfferUp within 24 hours, but have yet to receive a response. The seller refuses a return, citing "all sales final." I seek assistance in returning the misrepresented item and preventing this seller, Lee B, from deceiving other OfferUp users.

I recently signed up and posted about 40 items for sale on the app a few days ago. I have been checking daily for messages regarding my items, but today I noticed that none of my items are posted for sale. Whenever I try to post a new item, I receive an error message that says, "Sorry, something went wrong." I have tried reinstalling the app, but the issue persists. My internet connection is stable as my laptop and cellphone are both connected to wifi. Despite my efforts, I am encountering various errors such as the app spinning indefinitely or showing network connection problems when I try to access certain features like checking for offers. The app seems to have glitches as it alternates between working and not working when I attempt to upload items. I have gone through a series of restarts and login attempts without success, and it's frustrating. I hope to get assistance to resolve these technical issues promptly so I can continue using the app to post items for sale.

I purchased an item from Eric, the one and only Mussel, and we agreed that the payment would be made via the Cash App. After trying to make the payment and inspecting the jewelry I bought from him, I discovered that the items did not match the description in his ad. Subsequently, I received an email claiming he did not receive the payment, which I was fine with. However, a week later, he contacted me requesting payment, to which I explained it did not go through and offered to return the items. Now he is threatening legal action against me. Can he really do this after selling me misrepresented goods and not accepting the payment I tried to make?

I purchased airpods for $38 on the app, but soon came across posts warning that the seller, previously known as "Daviestro" now changed to "Sophie," may be a scammer. Numerous buyers shared their negative experiences, making me concerned. This seller offered an Apple Watch 4G for under $40, far below its actual price. The transaction number is [redacted], and I bought the airpods yesterday. I fear I might receive an empty envelope as others have reported. As my funds are held, I request assistance in canceling this transaction to avoid losing my money to this suspicious seller.

I have not received a refund for a purchase where the seller sent me an empty envelope with just a thank-you card inside. This experience has been frustrating, and the lack of buyer protection in this situation is disappointing. The seller's actions have left me feeling worried, as the envelope contained nothing but the card and had no return address. I am used to better service from other companies that prioritize buyer protection and follow through with refunds. I hope this issue can be resolved, as I expect a refund of at least $38. If necessary, I will seek legal advice to address this matter.

I'm experiencing difficulties posting on Offerup. Even after reinstalling, clearing data, and reading through help resources, I can't find a solution. It would be beneficial if there was a customer support team available rather than relying on other users. I'm unsure if I'm shadow banned. I haven't received any notifications about not being able to list items. It's frustrating that a platform of this scale lacks proper customer service considering the transactions involved. Investing in a support team would improve user experience, especially with the fees charged for sales.

Hello, I am a seller on OfferUp. Recently, my items are being marked as sold even though the buyers do not follow through with payment. I believe this happens because I engage with them through the app. Additionally, I am having trouble with the three-day promotion; I cannot promote more than one item. I would appreciate a call tomorrow to address these issues. You can reach me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] I need help with the promotion, either extending or canceling it. I am also facing difficulties posting new items and accessing my page after entering my number. Your assistance in resolving these problems would be greatly appreciated.

On November 2nd, a counter offer of $33 was made for the microwave instead of $30. The total transaction was $33 for the microwave and $7 for shipping. On November 4th, an email confirming the acceptance of the offer was received. Eric mentioned in an email on the same day that he would ship the item soon. However, on November 5th, another email from Eric informed that shipping costs at the post office were unexpectedly high at $40 and suggested purchasing the microwave locally as a better option. Yet another email on November 5th mentioned that due to an incorrect weight on the label (3 pounds instead of 34 pounds), the package was not accepted by the Clerk. Subsequently, a message from Eric on the same day included an apology. On November 9th, it was reported that the transaction was canceled. Email notifications were sent to OfferUp about not receiving a refund from Eric on the same day, and on November 10th. OfferUp reached out on November 10th to inquire if the issue had been resolved. Finally, an email on November 10th confirmed that the transaction was canceled, and the refund had been processed. No communication has occurred with OfferUp, Eric, or any other party since November 10th, and the refund is still awaited.
