I participated in several meetups and made multiple payments totaling $[redacted] to purchase the car as agreed. I have our conversations and payment records on my phone. Unfortunately, the seller has ceased communication and I have not received the car or a refund. I possess a license plate number associated with his address through his girlfriend, but I lack his full name. I plan to send a formal demand letter to him, but I require accurate details. Our last meeting took place at a bank, and I am considering requesting surveillance footage to verify the car with the license plate and money exchange. If anyone can assist me, please indicate your willingness. Any leads, including access to his Facebook profile, would be appreciated.

This is my third attempt to address the situation. A person falsely claimed they had sailed a boat the day before, but the boat has been abandoned at my landing since 6/22. I have video evidence of them leaving the boat at 12:45 am and a note left behind claiming a breakdown, with an unanswered phone number. After contacting them on your platform, they have now changed their story on the listing to report it as stolen, which is untrue. The boat in question is a [redacted] Neptune, and I am seeking assistance to have it removed from my landing. I have already reached out to harbor patrol, LBPD, and the Wharfinger. I hope you can prevent individuals like this from misusing your website. It's worth noting that legally she cannot sell the boat as we are in the process of placing a lien against the title.

I recently sold a pair of snap cutters for $[redacted] and shipped them out the following day. However, at the post office, I discovered the package was overweight by 1 pound after packaging. To remedy this, I purchased new postage, informed the buyer of the new tracking number, and assured them that the package would arrive within two days. After verifying the delivery, I contacted OfferUp to update the tracking number. Despite my efforts to resolve the situation, OfferUp informed me that I might not receive payment due to the changed tracking information. I have requested OfferUp to investigate but they advised me to contact the buyer directly for an alternative payment method. Unfortunately, the buyer has not responded to my messages. I am worried about losing out on payment for an item I sold below its value. I have reached out to OfferUp multiple times to avoid cancellation of the transaction, but have not received a satisfactory response. If this matter is not resolved, I may consider using a different platform for future transactions, despite being a long-time customer of OfferUp.

I have sold and shipped two items through Offerup, but they were canceled due to delayed tracking updates. The buyers have received their items and want to pay, but there is an issue with completing the transactions as they are out of state and unable to scan a transaction code. This has caused a financial strain for me as I need the funds for medical treatment. I urgently need help with this situation. Thank you.

I have sold two items on OfferUp and shipped them, but OfferUp was not informed of the shipping details promptly, leading to the cancellation of the sales. Both items have been delivered, and the buyers want to pay me, but there's an issue with completing the transactions due to a code scanning requirement that is meant for in-person transactions, not for out-of-state buyers like mine. I urgently need the payment for my cancer treatments, and I can't afford to lose these sales because of a shipping notification error that was out of my control. I seek your prompt assistance in resolving this matter so the buyers can pay me for the items. Please find a way to enable the buyers to make the payment without the code scanning requirement. I haven't included personal details or passwords in this post, but you can reach out to me using the information associated with the items I sold. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I listed a Toro lawnmower online for $[redacted]. I received an offer of $55, which I accepted after advising the buyer to test it in a parking lot, where they confirmed it worked. Now, the buyer complains that the bag hardware is missing, and the rear wheels are loose. I asked if it was used and if there are mechanical issues, but I haven't heard back yet. I believe the buyer got a good deal as the lawnmower is in good working condition, and I wonder if any changes were made after the purchase. I'm uncertain about offering a refund due to the distance I traveled to meet the buyer and the deal they received. Can I refuse the refund? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you, - Jody.

I came across an ad on OfferUp for a [redacted] Honda Accord. The post was made by the seller's sister, but contact details were provided in the bio. I reached out via email, expressing my interest in purchasing the car for the listed price of $1,[redacted]. After agreeing on the price, OfferUp facilitated an invoice for payment. Additionally, a separate email requested an insurance payment of $[redacted]. We both agreed to split the insurance cost. Following instructions from an online OfferUp assistant, I paid for both the car and insurance using eBay cards and sent them in response to the email. The car, located in a different state, was supposed to arrive today, July 16th, but has not arrived yet. I am seeking an update on the status of my purchase.

I was contacted by an individual named David Glenn who expressed interest in purchasing all the items I have for sale in my apartment. After we settled on a price, he mentioned he would have his banker send a certified company bank check payment to my email for a deposit. The payment, supposedly coming from Payment Inc, would be issued by an accountant. He requested my full name and email address for the payment. Following our communication, I realized that David Glenn deleted his Offer Up account and proceeded to contact me via text message. His current phone number is [redacted]. I am uncertain whether this transaction is a scam and seek assistance in verifying its legitimacy before proceeding further.

I am experiencing a similar issue with my OfferUp account, as it has been deactivated without warning due to an unfair report. Despite my attempts to reach out to customer service, I have been unable to speak with a live representative to address this issue. Email communication has also been unsuccessful as the page continuously loads without allowing me to send a message. I urge someone from OfferUp to please contact me to resolve this unjust situation and reactivate my account.

I purchased a Dewalt cordless table saw roughly 2 weeks ago. Initially, it worked briefly when tested, but later when I tried to use it at work after a week of not using it, it kept shutting off while cutting. Despite charging the battery and swapping it with a co-worker's, the problem persists. The seller claimed the saw could handle cutting hardwood, but now it seems evident why they sold it - they may have damaged the motor. The sudden shutdowns are concerning, as they could have led to a serious accident. I am seeking a refund for this faulty product.

My granddaughter unintentionally clicked the "make offer" button on an item I was viewing on OfferUp. Within seconds, I noticed the mistake and tried to cancel, but the seller had already accepted. Now, my 18-month-old granddaughter made an accidental purchase, which is not ideal considering I had already bought and installed the same item a few weeks ago. I reached out to the seller to explain the situation and requested a cancellation, but she has not responded. I am in a tight financial situation and cannot afford the $[redacted].00 for this purchase, as that money was allocated for bills and groceries. Please assist me in resolving this issue.

Hello! I recently purchased an iPhone 7 256GB for $[redacted] with a $5 shipping fee, but when the payment was processed through OfferUp, $[redacted] was deducted from my account, causing me to lose $45. The seller and I both noticed this discrepancy during our transaction, and we encountered issues with the system connection. Despite the payment error, I still wish to proceed with the purchase at the agreed price of $[redacted]. Is there a way to rectify this and ensure I receive the item as agreed? Your assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

I recently shipped a laptop through your app, and the buyer received it but is refusing to pay because he says it cannot upgrade to Windows 7. I had the laptop checked at Best Buy, and it works fine. I did not advertise it as upgradable. I believe the buyer should have inquired before purchase. I messaged him but received no response. I insist that he either pays for the laptop or returns it. It is unfair for him to hold onto the item without payment due to an upgrade issue I did not misrepresent. This situation might enable theft as buyers could complain and keep items without paying. Please assist promptly. Thank you.

I recently sold a size 13 pair of non-reflective Yeezys in black to a customer named Cody. He claims I sent him the higher-priced full reflective version worth over $[redacted], which I find hard to believe. Both versions look identical, with one being rarer. Cody now wants to return the expensive pair for a refund but keep the general release pair he actually bought. I suspect Cody is trying to scam me by switching the shoes I sent him with replicas of the pricier version. Despite having a solid 5-star rating on this platform and selling many Yeezys, Cody only has a 1-star rating and seems to be dishonest. I refuse to refund him for a counterfeit pair.

I recently changed my password for OfferUp, but now that my phone got stolen, I can't access the code being sent to my old phone number. Logging in on a different device doesn't help as the verification code is still being sent to the old number I no longer have. This issue prevents me from selling items or responding to messages. A few days ago, I managed to access my account, but it seems I'm back to square one. I can't use Facebook to log in as my account was reported incorrectly. I'm unable to contact OfferUp for help. I hope someone here can assist me since I can at least send this message through this platform. Your help is greatly appreciated.

On July 10th, I offered $[redacted] for a 13.3-inch MacBook Pro [redacted] with $5 for shipping. Freddie Garlow, who claimed to be a "TruYou" member, agreed to the offer on OfferUp. After OfferUp checked the deal, we proceeded with shipment. A shipping label was generated with tracking number [redacted][redacted][redacted]. Before the item was shipped, Freddie mentioned that it was odd the item wasn't there yet due to not selecting "First Class shipping." He then admitted to sending weight loss pills by mistake and attempted to change the tracking number to [redacted][redacted]82. Sadly, he stopped communicating, and the OfferUp tracking number remained unchanged. The new tracking number led to Detroit. I lost $[redacted], a significant amount for me, along with the laptop. I seek assistance in retrieving my funds and having his account banned for fraudulent activities. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I need assistance with a problem I encountered. I was in discussion with an individual regarding a phone sale, and we agreed on a price of $[redacted]. However, I did not release the payment until the phone was sent to me. Surprisingly, my bank account shows a negative balance of $[redacted]. I did not authorize the release of the payment, and now the conversation history between us is no longer visible on the platform. Unfortunately, the option to delete the conversation is not available. I am unsure of the current situation and would appreciate some guidance.

I recently downloaded the OfferUp app and created an account to browse for MacBooks. After finding one I liked, I went ahead and made the purchase, but now I'm experiencing issues with viewing my transactions and receipts. Despite trying to troubleshoot by switching between WiFi and data, the problem persists. I attempted to reinstall the app to see if that would resolve the issue, but now I cannot even log in to my account either on the app or desktop. I've reached out to OfferUp on Twitter and even tried contacting their CEO but have not received a response yet. Although I found a help email address through Twitter, I am still waiting for a resolution. It's frustrating that their forums have not been helpful, so I will continue to reach out until I can access my account again.

I sold a wicker stand and the buyer is asking for it to be resent after it was returned due to sizing issues with the packaging. The buyer paid for shipping, and I shipped it within 24 hours in a makeshift box. The post office initially approved it, but it was returned the next day. I have informed the buyer I cannot cancel the order, but they can process a refund. The buyer still wants the item and is willing to have it resent in a smaller box. I need assistance with obtaining a new shipping label to send out the stand again. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I bought a cell phone on OfferUp almost 10 days ago. The phone was meant to arrive last Tuesday with express shipping, but the seller sent it via first class mail instead of priority. I switched my service to Verizon for this phone. I paid $[redacted], and the seller is not willing to resolve the issue. I have been selling on eBay for 10 years with [redacted] positive feedback, always taking responsibility until the customer receives the product. I am frustrated as the post office couldn't provide any information. I urgently need the phone due to my disability. Please assist promptly. Thank you.
