I purchased a Disney statue on OfferUp which arrived shattered and unrepairable. I promptly contacted both the seller and OfferUp within the two-day window, sending 17 photos of the damage. OfferUp responded to my work email, [redacted], on President's Day, a federal holiday when I was off work as a government contractor. I later saw their message on Friday after returning from a business trip. They claimed I didn't respond in three days and couldn't assist further. I find it unfair they counted the holiday as a non-response day and never acknowledged the pictures. This situation has cost me $[redacted], and I seek assistance.

I made a purchase from Anna on OfferUp, with transaction ID [redacted]. The 11 x 14 Derek Jeter photo I received was damaged, as it was poorly packaged in a paper envelope with minimal bubble wrap. I have informed the seller and filed a damaged item claim with OfferUp. However, I have been receiving repetitive automated responses from OfferUp, without clear instructions on how to proceed with my claim. I have provided all necessary details such as the seller's name, item description, transaction ID, my name, and email address. I have also submitted photos showing the condition of the item before shipping and upon delivery.

I purchased baseball cards from a seller named Alan, with the transaction ID in hand. Subsequently, the transaction was canceled by the app. Although I received the cards, they were not as advertised and in poor condition. The seller claimed he didn't receive payment, which was confirmed by the app. I had to use another service to pay him, resulting in a double payment. Unfortunately, the seller is unresponsive now, leaving me $75 short due to an app malfunction. I request a refund of $75 to be processed promptly as the transaction was canceled. I have involved the police due to the lack of response. Please address this issue and refund the amount promptly. Thank you.

I am having trouble logging into my OfferUp account. I have tried troubleshooting on my own and reached out through the app. The OfferUp forum suggested contacting them on Twitter, which I did, but still no response. I also sent an email to them without any luck. I tried using my laptop, mobile, and clearing the cache, but it is still not working. I have contacted them through Facebook as well. OfferUp responded and escalated my case to their Customer Care team, but since then, there has been no further follow-up. My email is [redacted] Thank you, Orrin H.

I have encountered an individual who goes by the name Esther. She sent me a cashier's check with an incorrect amount, much higher than agreed upon, which raised suspicions. Despite playing phone games for nearly a week, promising movers to collect my grandmother's China set for just $[redacted], she ultimately sent $1,[redacted] to my bank account. She then instructed me to transfer the excess to a random individual instead of the supposed movers. Claiming her secretary confused the payments, she only disclosed her name as Sharon confino, with Esther as her middle name. Our email correspondence shows our agreements, but she remains evasive about her location and the identity of the movers. This entire situation has prompted me to involve the police as her actions seem dubious and should not be ignored to prevent others from falling victim.

I recently bought a sewing machine on OfferUp. I realized an issue with it a day after the buyer protection period ended, which I didn't know was only 2 days. My transaction ID is #[redacted]. Is there any way to seek help through OfferUp's buyer protection? The sewing machine cost $[redacted].00 with $30.00 for shipping. Upon checking, I noticed the seams of the sewing machine are coming apart. I have tried contacting the seller with no response. I hope that OfferUp's buyer protection can assist me as stated. I acknowledge that it was my responsibility to inspect within the given time frame, although I wrongly assumed I had more time. I was caught up with work and was only able to inspect it today. After discovering the damage, I tried reaching out to the seller and OfferUp, but was informed that the time had lapsed for a claim. Trying to find a way to contact OfferUp, I came across this suggestion. Can someone please contact me? I have pictures to share. Thank you.

I made a purchase on Saturday, 2/23/[redacted]. I agreed to pay $90.00 for 80 bottles of vitamins. Today, I received my package from USPS, but it was damaged, and only 25 bottles were inside. I contacted the seller, Garage_overstock. She claims the box I showed her wasn't the one she sent. I shared pictures of the incomplete order and the box, but she mentioned contacting OfferUp for a new shipping label to resend the remaining 55 bottles. I need a solution for my incomplete order. I paid $90.00 and would like either a refund or the rest of my order sent to me at no additional cost. Email: [redacted]

Hello, my name is Marco. In August [redacted], I purchased a $[redacted] computer component that was listed as never used. Upon receiving the item, albeit late, I noticed its exterior was in good condition. This was important to me as it took me a while to save up the money as a 17-year-old. I stored it safely until recently when I had the necessary parts to install it in my system. However, after getting it up and running, I encountered issues with freezes and strange noises. A friend, who is a computer enthusiast, inspected it and discovered that the component had been used and was damaged. I may be past the refund period, but I hope for some resolution regarding the seller. Transaction ID: [redacted] Thank you.

I recently purchased a portable dishwasher from Sarah Jessica's website. Initially, they were responsive and helpful, but when it came to payment, they insisted on using Western Union or a PNC bank account belonging to Holly D. Parker. After sending the payment, they have since stopped responding to my messages. Through my investigation, I discovered that Sarah Jessica is not a real person, and Holly Parker and Crawford Mitchell are likely behind this scam. I have reported them to the authorities and now seek assistance from OfferUp to either receive the dishwasher or a refund. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I am concerned about the quality control and security on OfferUp. Lately, many posts are from businesses, repetitive, and misleading. Some advertisers falsely advertise items at a higher price than listed. There seems to be no quality control to prevent misleading information. Recently, I encountered fraudsters posing as military personnel or divorcees selling items at low prices to get personal information. I came across four fraudulent users within 48 hours. When I confronted one with the truth about how eBay operates, they deactivated their email account. This behavior is concerning as they might misuse personal information. OfferUp needs to address these issues to protect users. If OfferUp wants to improve its platform, they should consider addressing these issues promptly.

On January 21, [redacted], I sold a pair of Florsheim "The Royal Imperial" wingtip shoes, size 12D, for $25.00 to Luis Giamberardino at 5 Washington St., Westborough, MA [redacted]. OfferUp provided a prepaid postage stamp, but the post office stated it was insufficient for the 3 lb, 14.3 oz package. After contacting OfferUp, I canceled the sale, edited the listing, and had Luis tap "ship to me" for a new label. However, I couldn't input the correct weight on the app to receive the updated label. Despite mailing the shoes on January 24 and asking Luis to send a $35.00 check to cover the extra postage, he received the shoes on February 1 and inquired about my payment. After several follow-ups with Luis, he acknowledged the oversight, promising to send the check, but it has not arrived. Despite attempts to contact him on February 25 and March 4, he has not responded. Now, I am unsure what steps to take next or if OfferUp can assist in reimbursing me for this transaction. Thank you for any help. Lawrence H.

I listed a pair of 14 karat gold earrings on OfferUp for $35. Mr. Seika Gadson offered $30, which I accepted. After mailing the earrings, I realized I sent the wrong pair, so I sent the correct ones separately. Mr. Gadson called to say the earrings weren't authentic. I advised him to contact OfferUp for a refund and return. They initially refunded me but then withdrew the money. I'm still without payment or the earrings since February 6, [redacted]. The transaction number is [redacted], and his name is Seika Gadson. I've reached out to OfferUp multiple times with no resolution. I suspect he may have replaced the real earrings with fake ones. I need this issue resolved promptly to either receive payment or have both pairs of earrings returned. - Joanne S.

To the concerned party, I've been part of the OfferUp community since [redacted] and have valued the platform for its resources. A few weeks ago, my account was hacked, and the hacker posted car deals and deleted my posts. Despite changing my password, the hacker's email still appears when I log out. I've tried to edit it in my account settings, but it gives me an error. Whenever I post, they get no views or show up on the main page; my public profile displays no items for sale. I'm unable to buy or message others, receiving no replies. The account affected was under the email "[redacted]" Please contact me at my main email "[redacted]" or phone [redacted] for assistance. I hope to resolve this issue to restore my buying and selling capabilities on the platform. Thank you for your help.

I bought a CB radio from a seller on this site. The communication with the seller was frustrating, as it was in two different languages and the radio I received had dents, non-functioning features that were promised to work, and bent or non-working knobs. It seems someone unskilled tried to repair it and it's unusable. I wish to return it for a refund.

I bought a Chevrolet Cruze LTZ RS on OfferUp, but the seller insisted on using eBay for the protection program. I bought 6 eBay cards from Food4Less, totaling $1,[redacted], to purchase the car. After providing the card numbers to "eBay Motors," I learned I could get a refund if I didn't like the car. However, when I called back for a refund, the person hung up. I suspect it was a scam and I'm seeking help to get my money back.

As the seller, I shipped out two pallets with items as described, lightly swatched in 2-3 colors. Unfortunately, upon the customer's return, the pallets have been used extensively with every color swatched, indicating rough handling. It is evident that the damage occurred during the return process, as the pallets were well bubble wrapped upon my initial shipment. The customer's careless handling is apparent from the bent box and broken shadow. I am distressed by the situation, especially considering the disrespectful language used towards me. I have blocked the customer following this incident and will no longer utilize the shipping feature due to the incurred losses. Regrettably, the damage renders the pallets unsellable to other buyers. I am the seller and I dispatched 2 pallets comprising items described with 2-3 colors lightly swatched, almost unnoticeable. The customer returned the pallets as she did not like them. Upon inspection, I noticed damage on the pallets with all colors used and swatched which indicates rough handling. It seems evident that the pallet was mishandled by the customer resulting in a broken shadow. The packaging was secure with bubble wrap, and the damaged box along with the careless opening suggests mistreatment. I am deeply upset by the inadequate behavior of the customer who also used offensive language towards me. I decided to block her after this incident and will no longer use the shipping service. This situation will incur losses for me as the pallets cannot be resold due to the extensive damage caused by mishandling.

I arranged to pick up an item from a seller on OfferUp, but the product was marked as sold before I received the address information. As a result, I am unable to contact the seller to confirm the pickup details. If I don't show up on Monday, I risk losing the item, and the seller might think I am being unreliable. Could you please send a message on my behalf explaining that I no longer have access to the address she sent? This way, she can text me the address again so I can proceed with picking up the item.

Account: [redacted] Name: Priscila I've been experiencing numerous issues lately. Whenever I try to log in, I receive a 'network error' message. Despite conducting network tests that indicate normal speed and verifying my server settings which show as operational, the problem persists. Interestingly, my other apps continue to work without any problems. I'm uncertain about the cause of this issue. I've invested a significant amount of time and effort into my OfferUp account, and this prolonged disruption is frustrating. The problem persists throughout the day, despite my attempts to refresh the app and reinstall it multiple times. Strangely, everything was working perfectly yesterday; I didn't make any changes overnight. I'm curious if this could be due to unauthorized access by a hacker or if there's a different reason why my account is inaccessible now. I'm eager to resolve this and prevent any future occurrences. Please advise on steps to restore my account's functionality and provide details on what happened to prevent a repeat incident. Thank you.
