My son, David A Kralick, ordered a ring (a David Yurman) for Christmas on December **, **** (Order **********). He received an email stating that the merchandise had been shipped out to him on ********. On ******** we decided to call Nordstrom as we were unable to track the item, only to be informed that the ring was in fact NEVER shipped. They offered to overnight it, resulting in receiving it on Thursday (possibly)(never heard of overnight turning into * additional days... and give us a $** credit for his inconvenience. First of all, as a Nordstrom cardholder, and normally a fan of Nordstrom, I am extremely disappointed as well as disconcerted in the way this situation was handled. I have no idea why Nordstrom would send an email stating an item was shipped (especially at Christmas time) when in fact * days after that email, the item still had not been shipped. And to add insult to injury, an offer of a $** gift card for inconvenience is like adding salt to a wound....it is an insult. One pays high prices for quality service, that is why Nordstrom stays in business, the service Nordstrom expressed in this situation was not only one of low quality, it was truly an insult to my intelligence. The situation was not rectified, only handled in a way the way the customer service was trained. POOR TRAINING ON NORDSTROM'S PART.
