I called Nintendo customer service to ask for help because my ** year old autistic son lost the $** ecard we purchased from Walgreens. The representative said she doesn’t know if she can help us because I couldn’t give her the code she’s looking for which is with numbers and letters. All I have was a receipt from walgreens saying electronic card activation. And there’s All numbers underneath it. Then she said, he might have redeemed it already, well!!! I won’t be calling if he redeemed it already. In the meantime I have a child crying on the background. And she’s telling me give me the DS serial number so I gave it to her. I think she thought I was lying so she checked and there’s no card redeemed on it. Then she asked for my email. Then she says “ oh yeah nothing redeemed . So I said, since you can check if he had redeemed which he didn’t . Can someone would be able to help? She replied no, then she said” well maybe next time don’t give it to him and this way you won’t lose the card” now, what kind of representative is that? Maybe she needs some schooling of some kind of * hour class on how to respond to a customer specially with an ** year old autistic child who’s crying in the background. I understand that Nintendo cannot just refund everybody that calls saying “we lost our card” but it is really ridiculous that we can’t get it back even if we have receipt and had proven that it wasn’t redeemed. I did hang up on that representative and went out to get another $** dollar ecard from the gas station. I don’t need sarcastic remarks from Nintendo employees and I have a child who has limited understanding how the world works from being autistic. Well I guess Nintendo makes their money that way from cards lost and not being redeemed.
GetHuman-ldyharm did not yet indicate what Nintendo should do to make this right.
