I am requesting to regain access to my account. Recently, a friend who is an educator shared what seemed to be valuable information for my neighbors. Unfortunately, I didn't verify the source thoroughly. After checking the website, I found information similar to what was shared and decided to post it to assist my neighbors. I genuinely intended to help, not harm. I believed the information was credible and beneficial, prompting me to share it. I assure you that I will only share content from direct sources moving forward. Please reinstate my account, which is crucial for me during this isolated period. My actions were based on good intentions, and I sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding. I commit to being more cautious in the future. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Terry P.

I accidentally posted a message on Nextdoor South East Carlisle that was meant for a friend via email. I promptly realized my error within 15 minutes and apologized on the platform. Despite receiving some thanks for the apology, I've been disconnected until April 5. If Nextdoor reviews the message and my apology, it should be evident that it was an honest mistake not intended for any members. Moreover, my history on the platform shows that I have been supportive and even offered free gasoline to those in need in the past. I have never had any malicious intent on the site. Being disconnected during this critical time due to the pandemic prevents me from both offering help and accessing important safety information. I'm 73 years old and do make occasional mistakes, as in this case. I ask for the disconnection to be lifted promptly. Thank you. - Stephen F. Davis from Carlisle, MA.

I believe my right to free speech should not be determined by a robot, AI, or any non-living entity. I request a human representative from NEXT DOOR to address their presumed authority over a living being like me who is responsible for generating new money. Your non-human system does not create money and therefore lacks the authority to make legal decisions. If Next Door wishes to discuss further, I am open to placing a commercial lien against them. I appreciate a response from a human reader. If not, I will proceed accordingly. I do not intend to cover the costs for your mistake but will take action if my right to peaceful free speech is not respected. Thank you for rectifying this situation. - N.A., a creation of God

A writer sought assistance accessing the workers' comp benefits site, similar to my sister's issue. My sister contacted our congressional representative who is looking into the matter with TWC. When Patty Dixon suggested I could do the same, I mentioned my sister and I struggle with computers. Subsequently, a Nextdoor warning about being mean surprised me. I joined Nextdoor to share information, not to be unkind. I am a constituent on Congressman Mayes Middleton's mailing list and have shared his emails about workers' comp and business grants. While the problem is resolved, I will refrain from offering help in the future. I believe I was defensive rather than mean. The exchange felt nonsensical when faced with unhelpful comments. I prefer to avoid such interactions in the future.

I'm unsure of how to begin entering an address on the platform. Should I click on "Map" first before starting? Additionally, is it mandatory to have an email address to become a member? I'm facing challenges in creating a new membership for John Alldredge at [redacted] NW 5th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL [redacted], as he does not have an email address. Could you clarify if an email address is required for his account? Thank you! Shirley Bee

A few weeks ago, I got removed from my local Nextdoor in Hamden, CT. I sent a detailed message and was assured a prompt reply. However, I suspect my message was not well-received as I have not received a response. I am beginning to think there might be a bias towards right-wing individuals who do not adhere to the guidelines as strictly as others do. How can guidelines be interpreted differently for each user? I find it frustrating that there is no phone support for those looking to appeal decisions. I am disappointed with this situation and will share my experience online, even though it may not make a difference. - R. Y., 26 Marion Ave., Hamden CT [redacted]

I reside in Point Dume, Malibu, and joined Nextdoor Point Dume to connect with neighbors, but it's been disappointing. Most discussions are filled with unpleasant political opinions, where individuals attack and insult one another. Some even resort to making violent threats, which is very alarming. The conversations on Nextdoor Point Dume have turned into a platform for hate, with people using foul language, making threats, and showing disrespect towards differing views. The discussions often escalate into hostility between those against and in support of Donald Trump, leading to prolonged disputes. This behavior of name-calling, cursing, and threats is unacceptable, regardless of political beliefs. Such threatening posts should be reported to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. The website's administrators should intervene to prevent these destructive interactions that lack mutual respect. Political posts should not be permitted to incite such animosity and division among neighbors. It's crucial to address this issue promptly to maintain a positive and supportive online community environment.

NextDoor, I believe my right to free speech has been restricted without cause. I would like to address this matter by potentially placing a commercial lien if needed. I have always engaged respectfully with my neighbors and have not used profanity or made threats. I am an individual, not a corporation, and I believe my rights should be upheld. Please communicate directly with me regarding this issue, as I prefer no third-party involvement. NextDoor is the platform where my free speech was restricted, and I hope to resolve this within 10 days. Should this matter not be resolved satisfactorily, I may pursue further action. GetHuman's involvement complicates the situation, and I may include them in the process if necessary. Thank you for your attention to this matter. From, N.A. in Texas.

I would like to contact Nextdoor directly and not involve any third-party like GetHuman in resolving my issue. Nextdoor, as an online platform, should address my concerns directly. I am considering filing a UCC-1 commercial lien against Nextdoor for infringing upon my free speech rights. I have already communicated three times what actions Nextdoor needs to take to resolve this matter. If Nextdoor fails to respond within three days, by Friday April 17, [redacted], I will proceed with placing a lien on Nextdoor. It is crucial for Nextdoor to reach out to me promptly to avoid further action. Thank you, Nancy Ashley from Texas.

After experiencing a hard drive crash and transitioning to a new PC, I encountered difficulty resetting my password for Nextdoor. Despite multiple attempts, I did not receive the expected password reset link in a timely manner. When one eventually arrived, it had already expired by the time I accessed it. The urgency of the situation was not clearly conveyed, leading to confusion. While I understand the importance of security measures, I emphasize the need to streamline the password recovery process. Repeated requests for a new link have gone unanswered, leaving me unable to regain access to my account. I urge Nextdoor to consider the frustration users face in such scenarios and improve the efficiency of password reset procedures. Restoring account access promptly is vital for users like myself who rely on your platform regularly.

I have been using your app for over a year now and love it. Recently, my neighborhood associated with my name changed from Tijeras Creek to Terramonte. However, I still live in Tijeras Creek. Can you please revert the changes back to Tijeras Creek or guide me on how to do it myself? I found it difficult to contact support through the app directly, so after an hour of trying, I resorted to searching for your contact information online. The app's interface for seeking help seems complex and not user-friendly.

I am seeking to communicate with the CEO of Nextdoor regarding a recent incident involving an individual named Drew Campbell. I believe that our freedom of speech, as outlined in the Constitution's First Amendment, was infringed upon when Mr. Campbell removed an article from the site, an act I consider censorship. I would like to address this matter directly with the CEO to find a resolution. This is a significant issue that could potentially involve the assistance of organizations such as the ACLJ with Jay Sekulow and possibly Mark Levin due to its nature of censorship. I kindly request the CEO of Nextdoor to reach out to me. Please contact me at [redacted] or [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am a lead in my neighborhood and must discuss the suspension of Bob's Nextdoor account due to his helpful updates on Wegmans grocery items. Bob's updates were appreciated by many until his account was suspended for 30 days, despite numerous emails and requests from members being ignored. I sincerely hope that Sarah Friar, the CEO of Nextdoor and a Walmart board member, was not involved in this decision. We urge Nextdoor to allow Bob to continue providing valuable updates on essential items like toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and meat to our community without facing account suspension. Your prompt attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.

I've been experiencing trouble signing into my account on ca.nextdoor.com. Despite multiple attempts to reset my password through the link sent to my email, the system still does not allow me to log in. I initially tried to use Facebook login, but due to security concerns, I deleted that option. After attempting to deactivate and reactivate my account to fix the issue, my settings seem to be mixed up. I simply want to sign in with my email, [redacted], and create a new password, but the system claims I'm already logged in even though I can't access my account. The password reset emails I receive mention similarities to other passwords, even though I've tried numerous variations to no avail. I hope to regain access to my neighborhood on the site, as the current experience has been frustrating without proper customer support. It's now 10:40 pm, and I'm still trying to resolve this issue.

They enforce rules on who can express their opinions and who faces restrictions. I recently got banned. I am willing to provide the exact message I posted. It wasn't offensive in terms of race, bullying, or threats; however, it didn't align with a certain political view they support. I shared factual information but was suspended for 30 days. What about the right to freely express opinions? I didn't violate any guidelines. More than 20 individuals supported my statement, including a medical professional and a nurse who defended my position. I am seeking the reactivation of my account. This situation seems unjust. Who has the authority to determine what is acceptable content? I would appreciate your assistance.

On May 22nd or 23rd, I received an email stating a four-day suspension until May 27th due to "complaints." Trying to log in recently, I received a message that the account could not be used on Next Door. Opening a new account was unsuccessful as it mentioned my address could not be used. I suspect this issue might have arisen from a single individual who reacted aggressively towards me. Some users were engaging in arguments with political posts; however, I objected due to misinformation. To showcase support for a member, I initiated a poll which was approved by the affected user. Subsequently, I was attacked and accused of mentioning another user's name without permission. Despite explaining the situation, my account remains disabled beyond the proposed four days without further communication from Next Door, leaving me puzzled by the unexpected extension of the suspension.

I recently visited Next Door Greendale/Greenfield WI and decided to delete my account. I encountered a situation where I questioned the practice of responding to legitimate questions with comedic replies. When I received a dismissive response telling me to relax and enjoy some humor during Covid-19, I expressed my frustration. I highlighted the importance of the platform for seeking information and assistance, rather than jokes. However, my response was blocked while those providing comic relief were not. I believe it is unfair that these individuals are not reprimanded, making the platform seem more like a comedy show than a community help forum.

Hello, I recently assisted an elderly lady in setting up her laptop as she is new to computers. I recommended Nextdoor.com and helped her fill out the required information to join. However, we received a message stating there was an issue with verification. She is not confident using email and I will be teaching her soon. In the meantime, here are her details: Patricia Alpert [redacted] 2nd Ave Boca Raton, FL [redacted] Tel: [redacted]-[redacted] Email: [redacted] Kindly inform her, or me, why she was rejected. I have spoken highly of Nextdoor to her, and having her rejected immediately was disappointing. Thank you. Alan Benson Timberlane, Greenacres, FL

A resident in my neighborhood made a controversial political statement online, to which I responded by reminding them to avoid divisive comments as a community lead. Despite their half-hearted apology, they labeled me as a cyber bully. I requested them to stop mentioning me publicly or privately, but they persisted in disparaging me online and through private messages. Later, I got an email from Next Door asking to confirm my address due to a report from a "neighbor" suggesting I might not live in the neighborhood anymore. I questioned the timing of this email, given the ongoing harassment. After reaching out to their support team, they assured me that my concern was being looked into but I'm still awaiting a follow-up.

I'm having trouble receiving email notifications and trying to adjust my settings. I'm unsure if I've set everything correctly. Should the preference be to the left or right? Does the green circle mean it's off? I find it confusing to figure out which direction to set the preference.
