Veterans Facing Challenges in Receiving Medical Care in the Philippines I am Louis M. Wattigney, Sr., a [redacted]% Service Connected Disabled veteran living in the Philippines. I have encountered difficulties in getting essential medication at the US Veterans Medical Center here. Despite being able to obtain all required medications in the US, the facility in the Philippines only provides medication for service-connected issues, not for common conditions like blood pressure or diabetes. Many Filipino individuals have served in the US military, yet we, as US disabled veterans residing here, are unable to access the same standard of care. It is concerning that even though significant funds have been allocated to the Veterans Medical Program, the Manila US Veterans Medical Center does not offer the same level of service as facilities in the US. This is a pressing issue that needs attention, especially as this medical center is located near the US Embassy. Many veterans, like myself, are struggling to receive necessary medications and are forced to seek help from outside doctors at an additional cost. Your support in bringing awareness to this disparity is crucial for the well-being of thousands of veterans living in the Philippines. Thank you for considering our plight. Louis M. Wattigney, Sr. 83 Basing Binmaley Pangasinan, Philippines [redacted] Email: [redacted] Philippine Cell Number: [redacted]

I read an article about the United States Republican senators who may vote against Trump's nominee, Kavanaugh, for the Supreme Court. I am no fan of Trump, but the next time I hear him talk about the Media and Fake News, I will think of Newsweek. They reported that Collins (R), a US senator from Maine, and Murkowski (R), a US senator from Arkansas, may vote against Kavanaugh's appointment. NOT!!!! Murkowski is the US Senator from ALASKA. One wouldn't need two Master's degrees to know this. The average reader, whom polls like to describe as uneducated because they lack a college degree, upsets me. I graduated cum laude with a BA and later pursued graduate school to earn two advanced degrees. However, I didn't learn to think. I knew how to recognize falsehoods when I read them. Whoever wrote this article should be writing for a tabloid. The only silver lining is that I can still rely on The New York Times and PBS. Ignorance prevails at Newsweek. Please don't expect me to believe anything Trump says might be true. Newsweek should hire a new editor for its online content. I might have to cancel my subscription. I always felt Time magazine was superior to yours in high school, and thanks for proving it. -Ruth M. Registered Democrat, NYS

Understanding the impact of different foods on health is essential, regardless of one's profession. Differentiating between GMO grain-fed beef and grass-fed beef highlights the importance of consuming foods rich in beneficial omega-3 fats over harmful omega-6 fats. Grass-fed beef promotes heart, brain, and vascular health, while GMO grain-fed beef is linked to heart diseases and other health issues. Distinguishing between good and bad saturated fats is crucial, with organic, grass-fed, wild-caught, and free-range animal products generally providing good fats. Avoiding bad fats present in GMO animal products and opting for sources like avocados, organic eggs, olive oil, nuts, seeds, and wild-caught fish is beneficial for various bodily functions. Identifying harmful ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup, refined grains, and soy products can assist in maintaining overall health and well-being. Increasing awareness among healthcare professionals and educators about the significance of real food choices would benefit individuals seeking to improve their health through proper nutrition.

I want to address concerns about the Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif and the impact of sanctions. Many believe that supporting Javad Zarif, who has made controversial statements, is inappropriate. There is a misconception that sanctions target food and medicine, when in reality they don't. The Iranian people are suffering due to the regime's mismanagement of funds allocated to external entities like Hezbollah. Iranians aim to overthrow this regime and restore peace to the Middle East. Criticisms are directed at those who support this regime, emphasizing that Iranians are closely monitoring the situation and reject any form of appeasement. President Trump is praised for his stance against the regime, contrasting with past administrations that were seen as lenient. Iranians support Trump's acknowledgement of their plight. The message is clear: Iranians seek independence without external interference. It's noted that Iranians in the US are disillusioned with Newsweek for their coverage. -Azam Attaran

I subscribed to Newsweek this past summer, but my issues have not been arriving on time for the last 2-3 months. Even this week, I have not received the latest one. After speaking to my local post office multiple times, they claim there is nothing they can do as they simply forward the mail they receive. I have also attempted to contact Newsweek at the number that ends in [redacted], but it seems to be out of service. I enjoy political magazines and receive others promptly, but not Newsweek. I reside in Tiverton, R.I., at 93 Jiley Hill Dr., [redacted]. I hope this matter can be resolved swiftly. My name is Kenneth Lemaire, and my account number is [redacted]0.

As a Rabbi, I developed the cheating prevention software Learning Guard, which was highly ranked on Google. Unfortunately, a member of my community took over my company just before its launch in England. The matter was reported to the FBI in Red Bank, New Jersey, with Agent Sean McCarthy involved. I have faced threats from a prominent Rabbi, multiple attempts on my life, and alleged mistreatment by the FBI. I have medical evidence and witnesses to support my claims. This complex and alarming situation will require further discussion. Currently, I am in hiding in the New Haven area. For communication, please use [redacted] or contact Rabbi Levitan at [redacted]. On January 15, [redacted], an online article by Maria Perez sparked controversy with its title, "51-Year-Old Man Arrested After Allegedly Punching Child in Face Outside North Carolina Mall." In the article, Perez's writing has been criticized as potentially fueling social unrest. The article's focus on highlighting the man's race, the lack of detail about the group of girls involved, and the inclusion of unrelated incidents from other locations have raised concerns about biased reporting. The author's choices in framing the events have led to accusations of sensationalism and irresponsible journalism. This critique calls into question the journalist's intentions and the editorial decisions made by the publication.

Dear GetHuman Team, Thank you for responding to my previous email. I apologize for not mentioning in my last message that I am a Japanese woman. I tried calling you three times but was unable to reach you. I believe I mistakenly canceled my international calling service. I would like to share a concerning situation about my American best friend, Caiya Kawasaki, and her husband, Mayo Kawasaki, a famous Japanese actor. While performing in Starlight Express, Mayo was involved in incidents where women had abortions in England and Australia, for which he made them pay. He also pressured Caiya to abort, but she chose to keep their child. Their marriage turned abusive, with Mayo physically harming Caiya. Despite the mistreatment, Caiya refuses to divorce due to her religious beliefs. She is a loving mother and kind individual, but Mayo has tarnished her reputation. Mayo has cheated on Caiya, drained her finances, and is now suing her to marry a younger woman and secure his acting career. I have evidence to support these claims, which I can provide if needed. I urge you to share this story widely to bring awareness to Mayo's behavior and protect other women from similar harm. Thank you for your attention and understanding. Sincerely, Yuko Sato

I have been a long-time subscriber to Newsweek, initially receiving the hardcopy and for the last 4+ years, using the internet app. However, approximately 6 weeks ago, I lost access and submitted a renewal request. After 2 weeks, I contacted support and was informed that there were no records of my subscription. I was surprised by this situation. Recently, there was a renewal charge on my credit card from Magazine Circle LLC, but my attempts to address this have been unfruitful. Despite their instructions to wait another week, subsequent attempts to contact them have been unsuccessful. If possible, I would appreciate assistance with this matter. If not resolved, my next step will involve disputing the charge on my credit card and discontinuing my attempts to renew with Newsweek.

I believe Newsweek should lead by example when it comes to maintaining good grammar standards. In the "Daily Briefing" from September 9th discussing the return of Congress, there was a grammatical error in the 6th paragraph which should be addressed. The phrase "depends on who you ask" should actually be corrected to "depends on whom you ask" to ensure proper grammar usage. The revised sentence should read as follows: "Well...that depends on whom you ask." Sincerely, Pete Speth MD

I read an article by Aristos Georgiou about a girl who had autoimmune encephalitis at 14. I am 49 years old, also a woman, who went through a similar experience. I was in a coma and had to relearn how to walk after two comas caused by the same condition. Despite the challenges, I managed to lead a successful life, obtaining degrees in Journalism and Law. I just want to offer some words of encouragement to her family - nothing is impossible. I remember the struggles and limitations I faced, but with perseverance, one can overcome them. It will not be easy, but it is achievable. Expect changes, both physically and emotionally. It may redefine her life, as it did for me. People may not recognize her, and she may feel lost in her own identity. Stay strong and believe in her journey. Best wishes, Wendy Melton.

I am reaching out about an issue with James Crowley from your Culture segment. His articles targeting women named Karen are perpetuating a negative stereotype and promoting cyberbullying. As an author, he should use his platform responsibly, considering the impact of his words. I have reported his behavior to Facebook and sent him a message expressing my concerns about his unethical and hurtful approach. It's important for writers to uphold ethical standards and promote positive communication rather than spreading hate.

I have submitted a complaint to the New York City Commission on Human Rights regarding the incident involving Ms. Cooper and Mr. Cooper in Central Park. Mr. Cooper's behavior, as seen in his Facebook post, was concerning and intimidating, particularly towards a woman alone in a potentially risky area like Central Park. His actions, including offering treats to Ms. Cooper's dog without her consent, were alarming given the current climate of safety concerns for women. Additionally, his use of the term "Karen" and failure to provide the full context of the incident on social media are troubling. Ms. Cooper's response to the situation and her subsequent call to the police were understandable given the circumstances. It is important to address such behavior and hold individuals accountable for their actions, especially when they infringe on the rights and well-being of others. The situation highlights the need for respect, understanding, and adherence to the law in all interactions.

I need to cancel my Newsweek subscription. I subscribed two years ago for one year only to an address in Northern Ireland. Despite this, payments have been taken from my VISA account for the past two years. I want this subscription cancelled immediately and a refund issued to my bank account. My bank is investigating this issue. Please respond promptly as receiving these unauthorized charges causes me stress.

I have contacted the DOJ, FBI, US Marshals, USAG Barr, National Security Office of Professional Responsibility, US Attorneys, Senators, and news outlets. I am expressing my concern about the current presidential situation in the United States. The media does not elect the President; the people do through the Constitutionally certified process. As of now, there is no President-elect until officially determined. President Trump is entitled to legal recounts, just like in the past, and has not yet conceded. It is vital to ensure the laws and Constitution are upheld for the safety of the country. There is no certification at this time, and all legal options should be considered. Peaceful processes should be followed, and violence or threats are not acceptable from any party.

I have reported this matter to the FBI, DOJ, US Marshals, National Security Office of Professional Responsibility, US Attorneys, and USAG Barr. In [redacted], Trump received 62,[redacted],[redacted] votes vs. HRC's 65,[redacted],[redacted], totaling [redacted],[redacted],[redacted]. In [redacted], Trump garnered 73,[redacted],[redacted] votes from real American voters on Election Day, while Joe Biden had 79,[redacted],[redacted] mail-in ballots, summing up to [redacted],[redacted],[redacted]. Numerous counties recorded more ballots than eligible adult residents. The previous administration disregarded claims of voter fraud despite discrepancies. The past investigation on Trump was founded on manufactured evidence, lies to judges, and surveillance. I believe that the elites are trying to crown Biden as the new ruler, which goes against the values of the USA. This election has been marred by irregularities, and many Americans are not accepting Biden as the legitimate leader.

The content produced by Newsweek regarding Liz Cheney and the 'gender gap' in Congress is being brought into question. The focus on male and female representation in Congress and the impact it has on decisions and conclusions is being scrutinized. Whether Liz Cheney, a self-proclaimed Republican, aligns with her party's values is being debated. Her controversial decisions have alienated constituents and stirred up discontent. The issue at hand is not solely about gender but about taking stances that provoke disagreement regardless of gender. It is speculated that her constituents may express their dissatisfaction in future polls or she may face opposition in the primaries. The coverage of the second impeachment trial and Chief Justice Roberts' attempt to distance himself from it is also being critiqued for its perceived biases. Newsweek's handling of these matters and potential repercussions will be closely observed.

Please stop giving a platform to Meghan's extortionist father, Thomas Markle. The media's attention towards him seems to be racially motivated, giving power to a white man at the expense of Meghan and her mixed-race family. It feels abusive and serves as a distraction for the Royal Family. The constant lies and attacks on Meghan and her husband are unjust and disrespectful. The British tabloids and some members of the Royal Family should be held accountable for their actions. The coverage of Meghan's pregnancy, wardrobe, and threats to their safety are disgraceful. The comments about the couple's race are inhumane. Where is the humanity and conscience in these actions? There seems to be a double standard in how they are treated compared to other scandals within the Royal Family. It is important not to allow such mistreatment to continue.
