Get the charges refunded. ... About a week ago, I noticed a series of debit card charges on my bank account totaling $***.**. Said debit card charges covered the period from October **** through January ****, were made to the debit card linked to my NYSC membership account and were made by the E **rd Street club. This led me to research past charges from this location only to discover that in the past * months alone I have been receiving charges upward of $***.** on a monthly basis and sometimes twice a month.**Following this upsetting discovery, I called my home club at Park Slope and was told that the charges were a rush-hour fee that I should not have been charged because I have a passport membership. This is something that your front desk at the E **rd street location also told me when I first started using that club over a year ago. I specifically asked the front desk if I would be charged any additional fees for using that club and was reassured that there would be no additional fees because my passport membership allows me to use any and all New York Sports Clubs without incurring any additional fees other than my monthly membership fee. **I visited your E **rd Street location on ***** around *:** pm and raised my concern with the manager who explained that these charges may be due to the club being upgraded to elite club status. He promised to look into this matter and return my call, to no avail. He mentioned he needed to discuss this matter with one of his supervisors and that he would get back to me as soon as possible, which he never did.**As I already explained to your manager, at no point in time was I informed of any policy changes that would result in any additional charges. If the elite club status upgrade resulted in your members being charged additional fees, a proper written notice should have been communicated with your members allowing them to make an informed decision about using this club and incurring this additional charge. **Granted that I was never notified in writing or otherwise of this policy change, I respectfully request that you refund all these additional fees charged to my debit card to date. If this request is not satisfied, I will have no choice but to cancel my membership and recover these improperly charged fees through legal means.**Thank you in advance for your consideration and assistance with this matter.
That putting up a sign in a location is not enough to alert members of their policy changes.

I've been a member of NYSC for * years.
I called both my Park Slope (Home) location and the **rd and Park Ave. I also spoke to a manager at **rd and Park Ave.
