I haven't received any updates on my pending claim despite submitting the required documentation. Two questionnaires I received indicate that my previous job contacted the Department of Labor before I applied for unemployment, claiming there was an issue with my ability to work due to two illnesses I faced this year. My employer threatened to reduce my hours if I continued to call out sick. I opted for medical assistance, which has helped since quitting. I'm concerned about the status of my claim and fear running out of time. Additionally, I suspect my previous employer avoids terminating employees to avoid paying unemployment benefits.

I was approved for PUA insurance and received a form requesting my quarterly earnings. Unfortunately, I initially submitted incorrect information due to confusion. After getting assistance from my employer, I corrected the errors and refaxed the form. I am concerned about whether the corrected information was received and if my claim will be impacted by the initial mistake. I have been trying to contact NYS customer service without success and really need to clarify if this issue will affect my claim. Thank you.

Hello, I had to travel abroad for my father's funeral. When I tried to claim my unemployment insurance benefit for the previous week I was in the country, I unknowingly made a claim when I shouldn't have while being out of the country. I promptly received an out-of-country questionnaire and my account was blocked. I submitted the requested documents immediately, but I never received any follow-up or the determination mail as promised. I returned to the country in September, and now it's mid-December. Despite numerous attempts, I can never get through to the NY DOL services as the line is always busy. I have been diligently searching for a job, but unfortunately, luck has not been on my side. I have exhausted all my savings and now find myself without any money. I am at a loss as I fear I may not be able to pay my rent this month. I am in desperate need of assistance. Thank you.

I have been patiently waiting for my unemployment funds, but I have not received them for some time. According to the website, the last funds that were sent to a debit card, which I do not have, were on 12/8/[redacted]. I have been filing and certifying every week, with my last certification on January 10th, [redacted]. I am wondering why I have not received my money in my direct deposit account as the Department of Labor website shows payments up to November 20th, [redacted] were issued by direct deposit. From 11/20/20 to 12/8/20, the funds were loaded onto a Keys Bank debit card, which I possess. However, from 12/8/20 onwards, the money seems to have no destination. I had requested direct deposit, but nothing has been deposited into my account for almost two months.

I am seeking assistance regarding my unemployment benefits claim. I have been trying to reach the unemployment office by phone and have submitted my claim explaining the reason for losing my job. I am anxiously awaiting a phone call from an unemployment representative but have not received one yet. I have been calling every Sunday since 12/06/20 without any success. It is crucial for me to know the status of my claim as I may face homelessness if I do not receive these benefits promptly and notify Skyline Gardens Apartment of my situation. I am hoping to receive confirmation soon as my rent for this year depends on it. Unfortunately, the phone lines are constantly busy, and I am experiencing issues with my email. I am in urgent need of clarity on the status of my claim. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, A. M.

I have not received any updates regarding my claim despite submitting my application weeks ago. I have been diligently following up and waiting for a response from the Department of Labor (DOL) for over a month now. It's crucial for me to obtain proof of my weekly unemployment benefits as I am a tenant at Skyline Granden Apartments, and they require documentation for rent budgeting purposes. I have been trying to contact the DOL weekly, starting on Sunday, December 6th, to inquire about the status of my claim, but have yet to have a conversation with a DOL representative. I am eager to learn about the progress of my claim and whether I will be receiving my payments or if further steps are needed to resolve this matter promptly.

I certified for benefits last Sunday for the week ending 01/17/[redacted]. Each morning, I check if the claim has been processed and the money released. However, I keep receiving prompts to certify for the same week, even after certifying twice. Upon calling customer service, I am unable to reach anyone as all agents are busy with other callers. I'm unsure why this is happening and would appreciate assistance in restoring my weekly benefits. Thank you for your help.

I have been receiving weekly benefits for part-time work consistently, as shown in my payment history. This week, after working two hours, I claimed my benefits on Sunday but haven't received anything. I was laid off last March, returned to work in August, and had my hours reduced in late September. I was instructed to certify weekly and had no issues until now. Despite no changes, I didn't receive benefits due to the new part-time work process. I reported my two hours honestly through the phone system, which should have counted as ZERO days according to the new rules. I haven't had any holidays or vacations, and my address remains the same. I was available to work every day last week. I seek guidance on why this sudden change is affecting my benefits.

I filed for unemployment in NY a couple of weeks ago, and I was approved. When I checked the NY.gov website last Sunday, I noticed the funds were released. However, I was fired for cause, and I do not dispute this. I am unsure if I should have received the benefits. I have already taken the payment out of my bank account to return it. I reached out to NY DOL via email the same day I saw the payment, asking for guidance. I have also received emails about certifying for back weeks of unemployment, but I am holding off on certifying until I get clarification on the current payment.

I requested an extension of my Unemployment Benefits when the previous one expired on December 20, [redacted]. On December 27, [redacted], I received an email from NYS DOL confirming they received my application and advised me to claim weekly benefits, which I did. Following that, on December 28, [redacted], DOL sent me a Monetary Benefit Determination Notice by mail stating my weekly benefit rate would be $[redacted]. After certifying my benefits weekly, I noticed online that my application status remained at "determining the amount of your benefits." Even after receiving the Monetary Benefit Determination Notice, the discrepancy persisted. Despite my email on January 4, [redacted], the DOL only responded on February 3, [redacted], telling me to keep claiming weekly benefits, reassuring me of back payments once my application is reviewed. On March 1, [redacted], my online account status abruptly changed, invalidating all the weekly claims I had been submitting since December. It now indicates only my benefits up to December 20, [redacted] as if the extension application and subsequent weekly certifications never occurred. With the imminent expiry on March 14, [redacted], of my benefits, I am left with this frustrating situation.

NYS Unemployment closed my Keybank debit account in February due to supposed fraud without notifying me. As a single mom to an 18-month-old daughter, this has left me in a dire financial situation. My Keybank card was declined, and I have been unable to resolve this issue despite multiple attempts to reach out to both Unemployment and Keybank. I have not received the money I am owed from the five-plus weeks of claims made with NYS Unemployment. It's frustrating that I can't speak to a live person at NYS Unemployment to address this critical problem. This situation with Keybank seems completely unacceptable, adding stress to an already challenging time in my life.

To Whom It May Concern, My name is Ariel Mosaffi, and I encountered an issue with filing my weekly claims about eight months ago. I have been trying to reach out for assistance but have not had any luck. The situation occurred during the peak of the pandemic when I was seeking employment. Unfortunately, there was a delay in receiving my unemployment benefits, and during this time, I unknowingly got hired by a company. By the time I received my ID in the mail, I had already started working. When I tried to file for unemployment for the second week, I was flagged for suspicion of working. I promptly contacted the company to explain the situation, emphasizing that I had filed for unemployment. However, I was unable to continue filing my claims. It has been eight months, and I am still struggling to speak with someone to resolve this matter. I would appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

I recently completed the year-end survey that asked if I earned more than 10 times my weekly benefit, and I answered "NO" because I misunderstood the question. My work hours were reduced due to COVID-19, as I am a server and my workplace has been at half capacity. The decrease in customers led to significantly lower tips. Even though I had just started working again after having my baby when the pandemic started, my income has been insufficient. I requested to adjust my benefit amount based on my alternate quarter, but it was not processed, resulting in lower unemployment payments. My most recent claim was not paid, and if it remains unresolved, I won't be able to afford my rent. Additionally, I had to miss work last week due to COVID-19 quarantine, causing another gap in my income.

I encountered an issue on 02/22/[redacted] at 19:43:04 EST (GMT-[redacted]) regarding my ny.gov account. Unfortunately, someone has hacked into my account, changed my information, and I am unable to access it. The security questions and email address associated with the account have also been altered. I have been attempting to contact the claims department for assistance but haven't been successful. As a result, I have not been able to certify for benefits this week, which my children and I rely on for our income. I urgently need to speak to someone to reset or create a new password/account to claim benefits. My username for ny.gov is Marilynglab, password is Richiedio143, and my email is [redacted] I can be reached at [redacted]. It has been three weeks without pay, and my problems remain unresolved. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I am seeking clarification on my ongoing benefits. I have tried contacting via phone and the website, but have been unsuccessful in getting answers. I believe I am eligible to receive benefits until September [redacted] without having to file a new claim. However, I have not received any payments yet despite continuing to claim benefits. I am still unemployed due to health reasons related to Covid-19, and I am 66 years old. Can you confirm if I am entitled to 99 weeks of unemployment benefits? The phone lines seem to disconnect, and I am unable to reach a live representative. I simply need clarity on whether my benefits will continue until September [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, Debra J. Jones.

I am experiencing difficulties with my ny.gov user ID, which require calling [redacted] for resolution. However, despite multiple attempts, I have been consistently met with an automated message stating no assistance is available. This problem is preventing me from accessing my benefits, resulting in an overdue payment of more than two months from the state of New York. A representative assigned to my case from NY mentioned that contacting this number is the only solution. Despite following this advice, I am continually faced with the same unhelpful message each time I call.

Hello, I'm Carol G., and I have not received my benefits for the week of March 28th to April 4th. When I call, it says I've been authorized, but I have not received any deposits into my account. My daughter and I have been calling since yesterday, but it's been hard to get through due to the high volume of calls. I've been trying the claims number. If someone can assist, I would greatly appreciate it.

I resided and worked full-time in New Jersey while also working part-time in New York City. I was placed on furlough from my full-time job in March [redacted] and later laid off in April [redacted]. My part-time job continued for about another month before halting. Although I am technically still employed, I haven't worked in nearly a year. Over the past year, I have been collecting unemployment benefits in New Jersey. I am currently under review and was informed that my wages from New York will require me to file a Combined Wage Claim. I am hesitant to initiate the claim online due to my unique situation. The website only allows me to proceed to a certain point before indicating that I cannot file a claim because I already have one in New Jersey. I am seeking advice on the best method to speak with a representative over the phone. Any guidance or personal experiences with filing Combined Wage Claims are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

I have been waiting for nearly 16 weeks now, and I have provided all the necessary documentation you requested. I am urgently in need of my benefits. I have submitted ample proof of my identity, similar to what I provided to the NYS Comptroller's office and the manager, Don Cruz. The City of Albany NY Department of Vital Statistics also found the same information acceptable. I have refrained from reaching out to the media and my friend, County Executive Dan McCoy, as well as other local politicians and leaders that I am connected with. I believe they would investigate this matter if this department is unable to assist. The call center representatives were very understanding and empathetic.

For the past 8 months, I have been receiving my unemployment benefits through direct deposit without any issues. However, suddenly, my benefit payment page now indicates that my benefits will be deposited onto a debit card. I never applied for a debit card and have not made any changes. My bank has confirmed that they did not deny any payment or make any changes on their end. I am unable to reach anyone by phone, and I am unsure if I will receive a card or if it is a glitch. I am worried and frustrated because I rely on this payment. I need assistance to resolve this issue and have my payments go back to being directly deposited into my bank account.
