The issue in GetHuman-dmihalec's own words
I was sent an email from unemployment on ******** stating, “As you may already be aware, certain pandemic unemployment benefits have been extended by the federal government through March **, ****. You are now eligible for ** additional weeks of benefits beginning with the week ending January *nd…” The message went on to read they were working on getting the funds into my account and I would be notified when that was done and I could certify. On ********** I was sent another email apologizing for the time it was taking to update my account but I should be able to certify soon. On ********** I was notified the fuds were available and to certify on my next scheduled day.* *I had been going to training, which ended when my last unemployment claim ended November**th. When I certified for benefits I answered the question asking if I was currently enrolled in school or training, “No", a phone call with an unemployment agent after the fact, told me I should have answered “Yes”. I received confirming email, “my claim was not payable at that time” but I should receive additional information within * business days, which I never received. The next two times I certified I answered “No”, received the same messages. The next time I tried to certify I was not able to get into the system, nor have I been able to get in the next three weeks including today. **I’ve called unemployment and managed to get though four times, each agent giving me different answers, none of them able to help. The final time I called, I asked the person I spoke with what I was supposed to do – I was desperate, her answer was that “the rest of the world was also desperate and there was nothing she could do”. As I said that was the final time I called, I didn’t see the sense in dialing a number ** times to get through then sit on hold for ** minutes for another person to tell me there was nothing they could do.*I’ve also written * messages through the unemployment website, none of them acknowledged or answered. *How I want it fixed? I NEED the money. As I mentioned I'm beyond desperate. I have * chidren, a husband on disabiliy,a bed ridden father-in-law living with us and I can't find a decent job, can't get an answer from anyone at unemployment. There's no place to turn, no one to help. I've done everything I was supposed to, why can't someone give me the decency of an answer?
