I am currently having issues filing for unemployment. I worked at ABC Companies in Camden, NJ from December 10, [redacted], until September 16, [redacted]. After that, I started a full-time job at Greyhound Lines in Philadelphia, PA, on September 17, [redacted], but was laid off on March 30, [redacted]. Every time I try to process my claim, it prompts me to claim benefits as usual while they review, but I am unable to claim because it shows that I am still working and asks me to reopen my claim. Despite my efforts to reach out daily, I have been unable to resolve this issue. Please help me address this problem promptly. My details are as follows: Name: Ryan Siedlarz Last four of Social: [redacted] Address: [redacted] N Park Dr, Apt S712, Pennsauken, NJ [redacted] Contact number: [redacted] Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, my name is Robert D. and I'm a guitar player. Since my last gig on March 13th, I haven't been able to find work due to the shutdown of bars and casinos. After waiting to file for unemployment benefits, I faced delays in the process. Despite following the instructions in an email to leave a question blank, I accidentally answered it, causing further delays. I received a lengthy questionnaire the following day which I promptly completed. However, despite my efforts, I am still awaiting assistance. Seeing other musician friends receive aid promptly has left me feeling puzzled and desperate. I believed the relief efforts were meant to be retroactive, and I am struggling with dwindling funds. Thank you for your help.

On April 3rd, I was let go by Global Risk Partners Insurance Agency due to the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Coastal Hospitality Insurance Industry. Many establishments are struggling to stay afloat, leading to uncertainty for the future. Despite my situation, I have encountered issues with receiving Pandemic Unemployment Assistance in New Jersey. The state unemployment office seems to be confused about my dual roles in the Mortgage Originations sector and the insurance industry. Even though I only made $15,[redacted] from mortgages in [redacted] compared to $76,[redacted] in insurance sales, my unemployment benefits were halted after reporting my income. Now, I am being asked to repay benefits I have already received. As a part-time and commission-based mortgage originator, I rely on these benefits during this challenging time. It's frustrating trying to navigate these discrepancies and maintain my mortgage license under New Jersey regulations. I hope someone can help clarify this situation.

I applied for unemployment on March 15, [redacted], and it has been four months with no payment received. I was informed via email on May 7 that I would start receiving payments, including PUA and back payments, on May 12. However, as of June 17, I still have not received any funds. When I attempt to claim, it states that it is not payable at this time. I urgently need my money as my children are in need, and I can't even afford basic hygiene products. I have been unable to reach a real person via phone despite calling numerous times a day since April. The responses to my emails have been generic and unhelpful. I am the main provider for my household, and the lack of income for the past four months has left us desperate. Please assist me in resolving this issue promptly.

Regarding the 13-week Extension of Funds, I want to address the issue I have been experiencing. I received an email and a letter both instructing me to certify for funds starting on May 31st, [redacted]. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to certify as the message "Cannot Be Processed" keeps appearing. I have been diligently calling the provided numbers numerous times daily, but without success. As the sole provider in my household, it is crucial that I receive these funds promptly, especially since it has been two months already. I have attended promising virtual interviews but am still awaiting a start date. I urge you to pay attention to my specific situation rather than sending generic responses. Thank you for your understanding.

I have been struggling to get assistance with my PUA claim from NJ unemployment. Despite having a confirmation number and seeing that my claim is filed with a specified weekly amount, I have faced ongoing issues certifying my benefits since the beginning of May. Each time I attempt to certify, I am prompted to contact unemployment, but my calls to the provided numbers have been met with high call volumes and disconnected calls. The automated email responses I receive do not address my specific concerns, adding to my frustration as I have been without income since mid-March. I am urgently seeking guidance from an unemployment representative for help with my situation. Thank you.

My name is Paul P. Christy Jr. A friend suggested I reach out to you for help after you assisted them tremendously. I got laid off on March 13th and received two weeks of separation pay. I waited two weeks before filing my claim. Initially, my status was pending, which eventually changed to filed. However, when I tried to do my weekly claim online, I encountered an issue with my PIN that prevented me from proceeding. I can submit my claims over the phone but haven't received any payments yet. I've tried calling multiple numbers daily without success. The automated email response I received advised me to be patient. I have a blue form with my claim details. I'm unsure if there's a glitch or error on my end. My financial situation is dire, and I'm turning to credit as a last resort. Please assist me before my bills go unpaid, affecting my credit and other essential expenses like food. Your help would be greatly appreciated. -Paul Christy

I submitted my unemployment claim to NJU on 5/13 but have not received any updates despite my daily attempts to contact them via email and phone. Finally, on 6/22, I spoke with an NJU agent who said they had no record of my Social Security number, which is frustrating. The agent took down my information and assured me that they would escalate the issue to their manager. It's concerning that my application shows as "pending" since 5/13, indicating that it's in the system but not progressing. The challenge was also getting through to a live person after six weeks. I'm 62 years old and have always been employed since I was 15, never needing unemployment benefits before. While I understand the system is strained due to the high number of people seeking help, there should be better ways to address these issues and provide assistance to the public.

The unemployment office claimed I quit my job without cause, but I want to clarify the timeline. I left work on March 16, took a two-week vacation, and my last sick day was on 04/06/[redacted] due to COVID-19 and school closures. With two young daughters at home (ages 3 and 8), I had to extend my absence as schools remained shut down. Before my departure, I followed instructions from my employer to take the vacation time and apply for FMLA, which was approved. While at home, I fell ill around 4/15/[redacted], tested positive for COVID-19, but as I wasn't working at the time, I didn't inform my employer. I retested on 5/7/[redacted], with another positive result. I have documentation supporting my situation and need to take another test. I've noticed other colleagues in similar predicaments who received pay without issue. My claim ID is [redacted]52.

I applied for unemployment on 5-17-20 due to COVID-19. My last day of work was 3-31-20. I was told I qualify for benefits and have been trying to claim them for a month. My benefits should be retroactive to 4-1-20. My employer received $[redacted] from the Paycheck Protection Program, and I reported it when claiming my weekly benefits. Despite this, I received a message to refine my claim due to one week of employment followed by none. I've tried to fix it multiple times but keep getting a message that my claim is not payable. I haven't received any benefits as of 6-23-20. I'm temporarily unemployed due to COVID-19 and have been out of work since 3-31-20.

I have submitted a claim and have been attempting to contact the unemployment NJ numbers provided since April 20th. I have been unable to receive unemployment benefits without speaking to an agent, as instructed. Despite calling multiple times daily, I am always informed that all agents are busy and to call back the next day. When I attempt to certify online during my designated time slot based on my Social Security Number, I encounter difficulties. Each time, I am unable to proceed without agent assistance. Although I have received approval information by mail, I am at a standstill without speaking to an agent. I reside in Bridgewater, NJ, and can be reached at [redacted]. I am in urgent need of assistance and must speak to an agent. The local unemployment office in Somerville NJ, near my home, was supposed to open on June 29th according to a notice posted, but as per the latest information from the security guard, the office will not be opening anytime soon. I am facing financial hardship, without income or job prospects, and unable to claim benefits due to the inability to reach an agent after numerous attempts. Your help is greatly appreciated. Warm regards, Wilma Grace.

On 5/16/[redacted], my benefits were reduced to zero and not paid. Then on 5/23/[redacted], my benefits were not paid due to a week with earnings followed by a week without earnings. Again, on 6/13/[redacted], my benefits were reduced to zero and on 6/20/[redacted], no benefits were received due to the same earnings pattern. As a gig worker impacted by Covid-19, the CARES Act should ensure I am paid when my hours are reduced because of the virus. The errors in reporting were due to mistakenly using 7b and facing issues correcting it. During weeks of no earnings, it was because riders refused to wear masks, and as an Uber driver, I was concerned about the virus. Despite instructions to answer positively in the claim, access was problematic. An ongoing appeal mentioned claims being paid or credited, but the process seems to lack consistency with the rules and regulations.

Dear Forum Members, I hope this message finds you well. I am seeking assistance with a concerning issue regarding my unemployment benefits. In short, I am missing two weeks of my regular unemployment insurance, and three weeks of the additional $[redacted] CARES Act payment. I lost my job due to COVID-19 and successfully applied for unemployment benefits. Initially, everything went smoothly, but at the end of April, I encountered difficulties when trying to claim my weekly benefits online. Despite numerous attempts, I faced error messages preventing me from claiming. Eventually, a friend suggested I try claiming over the phone for one week, but I was still unable to retrieve benefits for the missed weeks. Additionally, I did not receive the $[redacted] supplemental payment due to this change in claiming method. The specific dates for the missing payments are as follows: Missing unemployment insurance: 04/25/[redacted] and 05/02/[redacted] Missing $[redacted] payment: 04/25/[redacted], 05/02/[redacted], and 05/09/[redacted]. I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on how to resolve this matter, as my attempts to reach out for support have been unsuccessful. Thank you for your time and assistance. I require additional assistance with my claim filed on 7/3/[redacted] for UI. My confirmation number is NJS[redacted]4. Initially, the UI dashboard did not display any information but later showed "pending," which hasn't changed. I work as a NJ State Investigator for NJ MVC, furloughed due to being part of IFPTE195 union. Despite others receiving $[redacted].00/week, my status remains pending. I mistakenly marked "NO" instead of "YES" for Surf and Turf Roofing, where I earned $1k last year and no longer work. I contacted NJ UI to rectify this error and seek assistance with my claim. I would appreciate a call to address my concerns regarding my UI claim. Thank you.

I submitted my original claim on March 20th when my employer let me go due to Covid-19. It took a long time to process and I never got a chance to certify. After returning to work briefly on April 19th, I got Covid-19 as there were multiple cases at my workplace, leading to another shutdown. I resumed work on May 18th and have been working since then. I am having difficulties certifying for the weeks I was unemployed, and my new claim needs fixing. I have not received any payments nor been able to speak with a representative to resolve this issue, despite trying online. I require assistance from a staff member at the unemployment office. My spouse, Chelsea M., has my permission to handle the call and help with the matter as I cannot have my phone at work. Thank you. - C. McShane
