I recently received my new claimant ID# [redacted]97 and Debit Card in the mail after filing a new claim. I tried to claim my benefits this week, but received an error message stating I need to reopen/reassert my UI claim. I believe my old claim from last year when my company was bought out and I was laid off (claimant # [redacted]36) might be causing the issue. I am having trouble reaching someone at UI due to the current situation, but I urgently need these benefits. Thank you for your help, NJ UI office.

I received the letter to certify for benefits on Saturday, May 2nd. I attempted to certify on Sunday, May 3rd at 4:00 pm as directed and received a message saying, "Your certification cannot be processed. Please call your local Reemployment Call Center during regular business hours." When I attempted to call on Monday, May 4th, the automated message said to call another day. Today (Tuesday, May 5th), I was able to certify for the weeks of 4/18 and 4/25, but the message said, "Your benefits are not payable at this time" and directed me to call and speak to a representative. I would like to find out what information you need. I am coming to the end of my resources and would really appreciate your help in getting approved for the PUA benefits. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, my name is Juanita Mobley. I applied for unemployment on March 29, [redacted], due to the coronavirus causing my job at Kiddie Academy, [redacted] Sinatra Dr, Hoboken, NJ [redacted], to close. My new job is at Light Bridge Academy, [redacted] Marshall St, Hoboken, NJ [redacted], where I plan to return once the virus situation clears up. I received a letter from the Department of Labor instructing me to claim my benefits at the assigned time slot. Despite trying to call, I haven't been able to get through for any information or assistance. Today, May 7th, is my designated time slot from 2:30 to 3. I am about to submit my claim now at 2:20, but I would appreciate any help or insight you can offer as I'm unsure if there are any issues with my application. Thank you for your assistance.

I have been attempting to file for unemployment benefits for over three weeks. My efforts to contact the East Orange office were unsuccessful, as the phone calls were never answered. The North Jersey number was also challenging to reach, with a robot informing me of high call volumes due to the Coronavirus situation and suggesting to call back the next business day. After persistently calling for a week, I decided to call right when they opened at 8:30 a.m. today. Unfortunately, I encountered a busy signal for more than 30 minutes. Since my computer will be unavailable for a while, I urgently need to apply for benefits via phone. I kindly request a direct number where I can speak with a representative or alternatively, you can reach me on my cell phone at [redacted]. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated.

I received an email from NJ DOL last week instructing us to certify on Friday, May 1st, for payment eligibility, including an additional $[redacted] weekly. Unfortunately, I only saw the email after certifying on Thursday. When I tried to answer the second set of questions the next day, related to coronavirus unemployment assistance, they were missing. It's now the following Thursday, and I've certified for this week, but the questions are still not there. Surprisingly, I received a "not payable at this time" message despite the email confirming my eligibility for PUA and the extra $[redacted]. Has anyone experienced missing questions like me? I suspect this is why I haven't received my payment yet. Checking my claim status shows that I'm filed with a weekly benefit rate exceeding $[redacted]. I'm confused and frustrated about the delay.

Hello, last week I encountered difficulty claiming my weekly benefits due to the changing schedule for claiming. I attempted on Saturday, the 2nd, but the system was temporarily unavailable. Although I filed within my 30-minute window on Monday, I only received my regular payment without the usual $[redacted] supplement. I had been receiving the additional $[redacted] on Mondays, so I assume the missed claim for the previous week caused the omission. Could you clarify why I did not receive the $[redacted] after successfully claiming on Monday, the 4th? I am hoping to receive $[redacted] this upcoming Monday. Thank you for your assistance. Amanda

Hello, I am seeking assistance with my unemployment benefits. My name is Eldo Dominé, and I have been facing issues when trying to claim my weekly benefits. Each time I attempt to claim, I receive a message stating that my claim is not payable at this time. This has been ongoing for the past three weeks, resulting in no payments for the weeks of April 18th, April 25th, and May 2nd. Despite numerous emails and daily phone calls, I have not been able to resolve this issue or speak to anyone to release the funds. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Eldo Dominé

I experienced issues with receiving documentation by mail, not due to Unemployment but due to challenges with the mailing system on my end. I moved twice since beginning my claims, and I suspect individuals at my prior address attempted to steal my information, necessitating a report to the IRS. Thankfully, I opted for direct deposit to safeguard my government relief funds. My current address is 87 Forest Ave., Keansburg, NJ [redacted], where I moved on March 15, [redacted]. Despite my attempts to re-enter the system to receive my debit card and necessary paperwork promptly, unforeseen obstacles have arisen. I kindly request assistance in receiving these documents, be it through mail, fax, or email. Contact me at [redacted] or [redacted] Your help is greatly appreciated by me and my family. Thank you.

I applied for PUA Unemployment as a self-employed individual. I recently received approval via mail and was instructed to certify benefits online yesterday. Despite being able to access the system, I encountered an error message when submitting my SS# and PIN, advising me to contact the local reemployment call center. Upon calling, I received a message indicating they were unable to take calls and to try again later or utilize the online system since PUA recipients can only file online. I require assistance from a live representative. My claimant ID is [redacted]35.

I have been claiming unemployment for an additional month, but now that the company is reopening on 5/4/20, I find myself in a dilemma. Being 65+ years old and considered high risk by the CDC, I believe I qualify to continue claiming unemployment. However, HR is insisting that I return to work. The NJ unemployment website does not mention anything about eligibility for high-risk individuals, which makes it difficult to provide a clear answer to HR about my situation. Can I legally continue to stay home due to this risk? I am concerned about the impact on my career if I take a stand. If my employer lays me off, fires me, or forces me to quit, am I still eligible to claim benefits? I would appreciate a prompt response via phone at [redacted] or email at [redacted]. I am eagerly awaiting your guidance on this matter.

Hello, I am extremely frustrated as this is the 15th time I am sending emails without receiving any responses. I have contacted various channels including the Governor, the automatic system, and the "contact us" link on the unemployment website, but to no avail. I even received a confirmation number, UI-[redacted]. My Claimant ID is [redacted]65, and I have been submitting my weekly claims on the website diligently for over two months. Despite going through the eligibility questionnaire and checking my balance, I have not received any payments. Attempts to reach a live person at [redacted] have been unsuccessful. I'm perplexed by the lack of progress with my unemployment claims. It has been over two months, and I have not received any financial assistance. The message "The claim is not payable at this time" is persistent, even when attempting to file over the phone system, which requires speaking to a representative who is unreachable. I have made numerous unsuccessful calls daily from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. I never delay my tax payments and uphold my civic duties. This situation is baffling me. I urgently seek guidance and support through email or phone communication. Thank you for your anticipated assistance. Best regards, J.G. [redacted]

Hello, my name is Carlos N. I filed my claim but haven't received any benefits yet. I work independently, and my job started being affected by COVID-19 in March. After receiving my confirmation email, I also received another email immediately but missed it somehow. I am now attempting to access the link in the email, but it appears to be invalid. They require additional information from me, and I realize I made a mistake. This situation is causing me stress as I have been unemployed for months. Please assist me. My name is Joseph A. Maher, and I reside at [redacted] Shenandoah Blvd, Toms River, NJ. Please resend the email to me. Thank you.

I work full-time and also run a cleaning business. I filed a claim for the loss of income in my business, but the claim incorrectly shows that I no longer work full-time. This mistake is preventing me from claiming weekly benefits for the loss of income in my business during the pandemic. I urgently need this assistance to pay my bills as it's causing me a lot of stress. I have been trying to call for help, but I am unable to get through. Your assistance in correcting this error would be greatly appreciated.

After nearly two months, I finally managed to access the claims portal. I disclosed my lack of income since mid-March and updated my claim weekly. However, my hope of receiving Federal stimulus funds was dashed when I received a message stating that my claim is not payable at this time. This is frustrating as others I know have been receiving assistance for weeks. The lack of transparency is disheartening. I was informed that I will receive mail, but with offices closed, I doubt this will happen. I fear the relief funds for NJ may be depleted, leaving many like me in a tough spot. The system's lack of clarity is unsettling. I kept navigating the links until I reached the claim certification portal. I completed the questions and tried to claim additional weeks until it was no longer possible. I'm now waiting for any communication from "[redacted]/unemployment" to my registered email. It's a waiting game for many of us. Wishing everyone the best of luck. Goodbye for now, KLP.

I am having trouble logging in to claim my weekly benefits. A message pops up saying, "Your certification cannot be processed, please contact your local reemployment center." I have been receiving unemployment benefits and attending school through workforce training before the pandemic hit. My last payment was on 03/28/[redacted]. On 03/17/[redacted], the school announced its closure due to DMV shutdowns. I have been attempting to reach out by phone and email to resolve this issue, as I have responsibilities, including caring for my daughter.

I submitted an unemployment insurance claim in New Jersey due to a job loss caused by Covid-19. The claim was filed on 4/19 and verified on 4/21 with a confirmation number. However, the status of my claim has been stuck on "pending." I received an email and a letter containing my claim number, instructing me to claim benefits without requesting additional details. The letter did not show any scheduled appointments. Additionally, I received a Bank of America debit card with usage instructions. When I tried to certify for benefits online at my allotted time, I was prompted to call a specific number as they couldn't process it. Unfortunately, when I called, a message informed me they were unable to answer, asking me to try again the next business day or go online. This problem has persisted for weeks, and I urgently need to resolve it to manage my expenses. I attempted to contact them via email on their website, but only received a generic response. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I have been receiving New Jersey unemployment since November of last year, and my claim finished the first week of May. I have been trying to access the 13-week extension by following the guidelines on the NJ website and sending emails, but when I attempted to claim on 05/10/[redacted], the system prompted me to call instead. Despite trying to reach them, I have not been successful. Based on the provided FAQs, I believe I am eligible for the extension, as I fit into the scenarios outlined. I am seeking guidance as the system shows my balance as zero. Your assistance in this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Vince.
