My name is Michelle and I stayed at your motel* at **** S state st. In Ann Arbor on Jan. **th for * night. The reason for my stay was for a volleyball tournament that my daughter had the next morning.*I must say I don’t often stay at any hotels*motels, but this time we decided to get a motel because we live almost *hrs from where her tournament was, and your motel looked nice on line and had a reasonable price, so we booked the room (room ****).*We got there right as it got dark out and when I got checked into the room, i was absolutely shocked at what I saw... Our room was absolutely deplorable and FILTHY. There was mouse **** right where they had the tv remote sitting, the bed sheets had dirt and hair on them, the headboard around the mattress had thick dirt, dust and crumbs, the floor was very dirty and had big spilled marks, there was an inch thick of dirt and dust all around the baseboards of the entire room, the sink was clogged and backed up with something slimy and mens hair, the water pressure in the shower was horrible, and the worst.. the shelves that our ‘clean towels’ were on were covered with thick dust, dirt, and PUBIC HAIR. Disgusting. *I absolutely wanted to ask for our money back at that very moment, but unfortunately I can not see well to drive at night, we were in an unfamiliar area, and I did not feel comfortable lugging my kids back into the cold and pray that we would find something better. We had just endured a long * hour drive to get there, in a snow storm, and needed to settle in for the night. So I very RELUCTANTLY decided we would ‘tough it out’ and stay. We slept on TOP of our dirty blankets that you provided, and used the * small ‘emergency blankets’ that i happened to have in my car. And we did not touch anything else in the room, unless wearing gloves (which were our own winter gloves). *Early the next morning when I went to drop off the room key, I told your employee at the front desk about my unhappiness with the room, and showed her the pics i had taken from the room. She was very kind and sincerely apologized. She then offered us a free room at any motel*, offer good for a year. But after explaining to her that I was not interested and just wanted my money back, she was very kind to accommodate me with a refund considering the pictures I had just show her. *My situation resolved by getting a refund from the front desk attendant. However, I was given the email address to the manager (Eric Ellicott) of that office, and I have yet to hear anything from him regarding this situation, so I doubt there will be any changes made.
