you have an extortionist working for you in Cedar Park, Texas. She insisted the only way to get back into our room after check out time (the policy of the key cards locking down was not posted clearly or told to us until this happened) was to “rent the room for another night.”*She began processing another nights stay* the Manager heard my aunt asking the clerk why we have to pay another $** to get our things.*The manager told me we didn’t. She said all they have to do is print a temp card so we can get our things. *While the manager was explaining this and printing a new temp key card, the clerk was actively charging us for another night.*I had to point that out to the manager and told the manager to look at what her clerk was doing* the manager told the clerk not to twice, and the clerk told the manager she “can’t stop, it’s already processing,” and the clerk refused to stop it when the manager told her to again. *Finally the manager squeezed herself between the clerk and the computer and stopped the transaction.*Unfortunately my aunt and I had to wait while our temp card was sitting ready and listen to the clerk and the manager and another customer laugh and make fun of “rude customers,” which was obviously about us.*We are not rude people. We were not rude customers* in fact, we were the victims of an attempted extortion. *The clerk lied to us saying if we didn’t pay up, she wouldn’t let us have our stuff, and as it turns out...there’s a policy in place for when these things happen. It’s called having a temp card made so the customer can get their things.*I’m sure Motel * has no policy that allows clerks to over charge their clients* how am I suppose to know if she also does the books and receipts for the day, makes the credit card transaction and takes the exact amount out of your register in cash? *This is why we keep an eye on our employees.*This woman has over stepped her boundaries professionally* she was incredibly rude, claimed we were being rude, refused to help unless we handed over more money when that’s not even the motels policy for handling the situation.*And then we had to listen to the manager and clerk laugh at us, to another customer. *Us, the rude customers? *The clerk not once apologized for any inconvenience* she offered no help other than to demand more money. *And I will be calling the corporate office until someone there takes this matter seriously and compensates my aunt for the harassment and attempted extortion of your employee.
