Previous email sent to Angela Wingate on ********* *I had received an email that there was an apartment as I had requested on Saturday, ******** and continued to call the office throughout the weekend with little luck therefore calling the main number several times since I was not receiving return calls. Finally on Sunday I did speak with J. Turner and went to see him at Seneca Bay and he gave me the keys to see an apartment like the one I would be renting. On Monday ********* @*:** am I sent to J. Turner the information by email which he told me was needed to process my application with a move-in date of *********. He also told me that I would be renting apartment *** C. When I arrived with a moving truck I was told that the application had not even been processed and that I could not have the same apartment because contractors had not completed their work. All of this meant that I paid four movers for approximately * * hours of time wasted and then again on Saturday as overtime day for only * men because they could not finish the move on the scheduled day. The extra cost for the Saturday move was also paid at overtime rate and took longer because only * men agreed to work. The cost for Saturday was $****.**. I am hoping that you can reimburse me some of the extra money which I lost due to no fault of mine but instead due to the application not being processed as I was told. I feel the responsibility for the extra moving expenses belong to J. Turner at Seneca bay apartments.* *Please see previous email above sent on *********. I spoke to Angela on approximately September *, **** about the issue due to my moving expenses and requested some reimbursement. She said that she would investigate and get back to me but I have heard nothing to date and have received a bill for the October rent. I also expressed my concerns to her about this apartment’s condition due to contractor work.*. *Twice in * weeks I was not able to use the laundry card. The *nd time six days passed before the cards could be read in the machines. Many people reside here who require these services. In my case the *nd time cost me $** to send my laundry out because I just didn't have time to sit in a laundromat let alone did not know where one is located. I am an RN at the VA in Baltimore who begins work @ *:** AM and time to sit in laundromats is not something available for me. As for the laundry room I had been told that the original storage lockers were removed to make the area larger. What a waste of space since there is a stack dryer unit and two washers occupying such a large space that was very useful previously by tenants for additional storage space. This room is filthy and appears to never have been cleaned as well as there is trash lying around.* *Due to the fact that I was given a different apartment then I was originally told I have been to the post office twice to inquire about the lack of mail delivery and then filed a complaint with the USPS when it was brought to my attention that my mail was being returned to the sender.* *Then I must add that in the early ****'s I resided in this apartment complex for * years and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Much to my disappointment this complex has gone downhill while the rent increased drastically. I completed a thorough inspection report so that I would not be blamed for the terrible upkeep and submitted it to the office. It took * days to have a clothes rod put into a closet in a bedroom while clothing laid all over the apartment. Many outlets were loose. Maintenance had to come to fix the refrigerator door three times because it would not close. On the *nd time the maintenance man said that a new refrigerator would need to be ordered but apparently the chief maintenance man felt this was not necessary. They have worked on the hinges, some bolts on the door, and then bearings on the bottom. This refrigerator has a dented front door and stain on the side of it and as I emailed by message to the chief maintenance man it looked as though it needed to go to a landfill. This issue with the refrigerator caused me to discard food.. * *The painting is terrible inside the apartment with what appears to be globs of paint placed on the walls, baseboards over spackle. The inside door has so much paint on it that it does not close properly. The bathroom sink & bathtub have chips on both of them. Personally the only things nice here are the stove & the carpet.* *The deck has paint slopped over it & the railing. The deck appears to be settling because the furnace door does not appear squared. On the deck the siding is filthy as well as the rubber around the door. They did replace the patio screen but it does not slide as it should probably because the door does not seem to be squared. As you look to the left of the deck there is siding is hanging from another apartment and from outside the appearance is quite unattractive.* *I have pictures of some of the conditions I have mentioned above as well as the laundry receipt and moving receipts but am unable to attach them to this email.* *I will be vacating this apartment complex on **********. The partial rent payment for October is $***.**. I am requesting that Morgan Properties forgive this rent due to the many issues noted above and my extreme moving expenses. It has greatly saddened me to see the downhill development of this complex that I once lived in.
