On Monday, June **th we decided to get curbside takeout from the Camillus, NY Moe's location (Order **********). This is only the second time since the Covid-** crisis began in March that we have gotten takeout of any kind as we only recently began to feel comfortable with it. We chose Moe's specifically because they offer curbside as I am * months pregnant and we are avoiding going into places whenever possible. We had no issues placing the order on-line and got to Moe's and parked in one of the designated curbside spots. We then continued to call the number on the sign for ** minutes with no answer. We even tried calling the customer service number but it was after *pm and that line was closed, because at that point we just wanted our money back and to go home. Since we had already paid for the food, my husband decided to at this point go into the location. He tells the woman at the counter that we have a curbside order and have been calling for ** minutes with no one answering. She says "oh, we think our phone might be broken, your order should be over there." I do completely understand that things happen that are out of anyone's control. However, no apology was issued and if you know that you have curbside orders sitting there and your phone is not working shouldn't an employee check the curbside spots and head out there to service those customers? I would have even understood more if it was extremely busy in there, but when my husband went in there was only one other customer inside. I honestly rarely ever complain, I worked in customer service all through high school and college, but during this time when many people are not comfortable going into public places I really found this unacceptable. If I was not * months pregnant we also would have chalked it up to an error, went inside, and even let it go that no apology was given, but I feel like we chose Moe's specifically because curbside was offered and then not only did we not get curbside, but got cold food ** minutes later. I think that Moe's employees should be trained to adapt in a situation like this and still provide the best service possible to their customers. We do enjoy Moe's a lot and before Covid-** got it probably once a month or more. I hope that this situation can be addressed and that we feel we can continue enjoying Moe's in the future.**Alexis Layo
