While looking up a person's biography on Google Chrome, I encountered a yes or no question prompt, choosing "No" led to a blue screen with a warning stating "your window is infected" and a phone number 1-[redacted] to call Microsoft Security, which I avoided. After this, I noticed that the Math Type icon disappeared from my Microsoft document although it remained in Excel. I'm at a loss on how to restore the Math Type icon to the Microsoft window menu bar. It's a crucial tool for my teaching work, and I've relied on it for many years. It's urgent to resolve this issue. Additionally, I've been facing difficulties accessing my Microsoft account and creating a new one.

My Dell desktop, purchased in [redacted], recently encountered issues with Windows 10 Pro. After attempting various troubleshooting steps without success, I reinstalled Windows 8.1 Pro from the original disk. Although the computer seems to be functioning, my programs and files are now in a "windows.old" folder. I am unable to register this version of Windows, and my Product Key from Dell did not work. Unsure of the limitations of an unregistered version, I am considering purchasing a new copy of Windows 10 Pro. I seek advice on ensuring its compatibility and retrieving my old files and programs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. John T.

My Dell desktop with Windows 10 Pro stopped working recently. I want to buy Windows 10 Pro again if it will fix the issue. I bought the computer with Windows 8.1 Pro in [redacted] and later upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. After a recent freeze, my computer got stuck in a boot loop. I tried various fixes with no success. I managed to reinstall Windows 8.1 Pro, but many of my files are in a "windows.old" folder. I couldn't activate this version of Windows, and the Dell product key I have didn't work. I'm unsure about using the license for a different computer. If buying Windows 10 Pro is the best solution, can you advise on how to restore my files from the old version? Thank you. - J.T.

Recently, my MicroSoft account was hacked. Strangers from Hungary, Romania, and even Brazil managed to change my password multiple times. Furthermore, when asked to send verification codes to listed emails, unfamiliar email addresses appeared. Concerning Office [redacted], I encountered an issue. Acquired in [redacted] with a computer purchase, my subscription renewed automatically on March 19, [redacted], with payments confirmed through MicroSoft billing emails. Despite this, Microsoft Customer Support now claims there is no record of my purchase. After spending nearly five hours on my recent birthday trying to resolve this with customer service, I find myself at a standstill. Any guidance on this matter would be immensely valued. Grateful for any help.

Last Thursday, my laptop was stolen. When I checked my Microsoft account today, I found out the device's location, which I noted down. However, when I tried to track or lock my device again, it showed an error message saying it couldn't track or lock the device at that moment and to try again later. I am wondering if the authorities can help even without the current location. Can someone assist in tracking the laptop for me and re-enable the tracking? I want to secure and track my laptop under my account details. My username is [redacted] and the password is Jayb9744 with a capital J.

I mistakenly changed the security permissions for drive C to Administrators, which prevented me from clicking anything. Somehow, I navigated to a menu allowing a factory reset and chose to erase everything. During the reinstallation, a window prompted me to clear the TPM cache, which I accepted without understanding its importance. Subsequently, I encountered an error during the Cortana setup, with the only options being "try again" or "skip." Despite trying both options, the same error persists, hindering further progress. I am unable to proceed and have been unsuccessful in resolving this issue for nearly a month. I am seeking assistance to reinstall Windows 10 successfully. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I lost my hard drive and with it, all my emails, account information, Office, and home Office programs. I'm looking to recover everything. The old SSD was cloned due to bad sectors. When I tried to recover my account online, the system tried to send a code to Outlook, but I no longer have that. Since my password was automatically saved on the hard drive, I'm unable to access it now. I do have an alternative Gmail address ([redacted]) since my Microsoft email ([redacted]) was set up with Outlook as a POP account. I will need to use my Gmail until I can restore Outlook. The serial number for my Home and Student Office program is MS79G[redacted][redacted].

I am having trouble resetting my password due to a repetitive loop. After changing my password multiple times, I am now unable to recall my old password. Whenever I enter a new password and attempt to sign in, I am prompted for a verification code. Despite providing my phone number for the code, the process repeats, not acknowledging the new password. This cycle has led to hours of frustration trying to resolve the issue. Please assist me in changing my password without requesting the current one, as I have changed it too frequently to remember. Each new password I enter is not recognized by the system.

I attempted to access my Microsoft account, but upon entering my password, a message appeared indicating that there was “unusual activity” and requested that I “verify my information and change my password.” Despite requesting an email code to reset my password with no success and confirming all personal details, my attempts were deemed inadequate. I vigilantly monitor my account and am certain there was no suspicious behavior. Oddly, they disabled my email for the account, leaving me frustrated. Reaching out for help was futile as they restricted my use of that same email. This issue persists, and I seek resolution to regain entry into my account. Communication with a representative is crucial to address this misinterpretation promptly. Whether rectifying the password, altering my email, or any necessary steps, the ultimate goal is to regain access swiftly. Thank you.

I recently upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 11 Pro Max and since then, I've been facing issues with sending outgoing emails from both my Live and Outlook accounts. Despite trying various solutions suggested by my internet provider and Apple, the problem persists. Although my internet provider suggested it could be a port number problem, they were unable to provide me with the necessary port number. Apple guided me through some troubleshooting steps, including deleting my Live account and relying solely on Outlook, but no improvement was seen. Even though I can send emails through my iCloud account, it's not my preferred email service. The error messages I receive indicate that my email inbox is full, although I have emptied both my Live and Outlook accounts. I attempted changing the outgoing port number to 25 following some online advice, but it didn't resolve the issue. I'm unsure if the port number is indeed the root cause.

My email account [redacted] was hacked and changed to [redacted], affecting my Xbox account linked to it. Due to altered two-factor authentication, I'm unable to access my account, putting my games, achievements, and progress at risk. Reaching out to Microsoft for assistance, I faced automated responses and difficulty in securing an appointment without signing in. The hacker has complicated the login process, making recovery a challenge. I've been using this account since Xbox One's release and losing it, especially during college, is distressing. I seek help in removing the hacker for my account's security. Thank you for your attention, and please let me know if more information is needed.

Recently, hackers James C Reid and Shyann Garcia infiltrated all our family's devices, including our phones and computers. Upon starting my Dell with Windows 10, I noticed two unauthorized individuals accessing my computer through the task bar. Despite not forgetting my password or pin, James altered them, preventing us from receiving verification codes through calls or texts. Despite providing the correct email, the system still deems it invalid. When attempting to sign in, I keep canceling as I have no idea what they changed the information to. This morning, I witnessed Shyann transferring my mom's photos from our computer to her MAC, halting my mom's plan to save her memories on a flash drive due to being locked out. Earlier, McAfee detected [redacted] spywares on my PC, linking James Reid to suspicious activities with my mom on the computer. This situation is concerning as they are likely gathering personal information to exploit my mom and steal from her. I am unable to access my emails, as the hackers have taken control and even deleted the iCloud mailbox. It seems they may have used one of their own emails for verification purposes.

Lately, I have been experiencing issues with Outlook when sending emails to more than 2 or 3 recipients. They end up in the Draft folder instead of being sent. I have been using Outlook with Microsoft [redacted] for about 18 years without any problems. When I asked a question earlier, I received a response, but it disappeared from my mail before I could check it. This has happened more than once, both on my phone and laptop. I would appreciate it if responses could be sent by email so I can download and save them. I recently discovered that important emails I thought were sent were actually in the Draft folder on both my devices. I use Google as my search engine. I am frustrated by this issue and would like to know how to fix it.

Approximately a year and a half ago, someone, potentially an ex-partner, changed the passwords to my [redacted] account and my laptop's main account. I have been unable to regain access ever since. I established this account around December [redacted]. My birthday is on May 23, [redacted], and my name is Skye Kelly. The addresses linked to the account could be 11/43 Marlborough Street, Fulham [redacted], or [redacted] Karkarilla Road, Moonta Mines [redacted]. Due to a stolen phone, the 2-step verification, and the linked email [redacted] were altered, preventing me from accessing my Facebook and important personal data, including pictures of my daughters and contact details. Despite my attempts over the past year and a half, I have lost hope of ever recovering my account. Some individuals I used to connect with are reachable at [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted] My previous mobile number was [redacted]. For further communication, reach me at [redacted] or [redacted] Any assistance provided would be highly appreciated. Regards, Skye Kelly.

After a significant Windows 10 update, I encountered issues with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 not allowing me to upload photos from my Nikon P310 camera. Despite upgrading to Adobe Photoshop Elements [redacted], the problem persisted and now the new program won't even open. Both Adobe support and Geek Squad attempted to solve the issue on August 3 and 4 to no avail. They believe the malfunction of Photoshop Elements [redacted] is due to the Windows 10 update and suggest reaching out to Microsoft for assistance.

My son got logged out of his Microsoft account for Minecraft, and I cannot recall the email address since it was made solely for cross-platform play. I believe the account was linked to my phone number. While trying to recover the account in the "forgot my screen name" section, I only saw the last two characters of linked accounts, likely ending with my phone number. However, when attempting to log in with the phone number, it did not work, possibly due to an extra character added, making the account name one digit too long. After some trial and error, I realized there was an additional 3 in the mix. After correcting this, it asked for phone number verification, stating my number was either invalid or not associated with an account. I'm unsure of what steps to take next, but it's concerning as we've spent money on the account and are now locked out. I can confirm the Gamertag linked to the account is PeachTripod16.

Hello, I need help resetting my password. I've been experiencing this issue for a week. Today, I attempted to reset it again by entering my email address on the password reset page but was asked for a code sent to my Mum's email. After entering the code, my PIN for the 2-step verification was not accepted, even though it has never been changed. I also tried my fingerprint recognition, which has always worked but failed this time. I rely on Norton Password Manager, which has not been altered, and many of my accounts are linked to the email [redacted] It seems many others have faced this problem dating back to [redacted], and I have tried seeking help from various sources without success. Can Microsoft provide a solution or connect me with a person to assist? I have had multiple unhelpful interactions through chat support and have been disconnected rudely three times, making this situation frustrating like the movie Groundhog Day.

I am struggling to reset my password and have been facing this issue for a week. Today, when trying again, I entered my email for the password reset, then submitted a code to my Mum's email for a two-stage verification. However, my correct PIN was not recognized, which hasn't been changed, and even my fingerprint was not accepted, although it has always worked. I rely on Norton Password Manager, and it has not been altered. Many of my accounts are linked to [redacted] Microsoft should have a solution to this common problem as I've found many facing similar issues dating back to [redacted]. I have tried different sources for help without success and have been disconnected from support three times, which is frustrating. I am looking for a human to assist with this ongoing problem.

Hello, I am currently located in England. When the Microsoft representative mentioned being transferred to an advocate, I was not aware that I could only contact support from the U.S. or Canada. I need urgent assistance with resetting my password, which has been an ongoing issue for a week. Today, I attempted the password reset process again but encountered difficulties with the verification steps. Despite entering the correct information, my PIN and fingerprint were not recognized. I rely on Norton Password Manager, so I am confident my password is accurate. Many of my accounts and contacts are linked to the email address provided. I have researched this problem and found others experiencing the same issue dating back to [redacted]. I am frustrated by the lack of resolution from Microsoft and the repeated disconnections from support chat. I seek a solution or the opportunity to speak with a representative to resolve this recurring problem efficiently.

Hello, I am seeking assistance with an issue I am facing with my Media Player. I have purchased all my music legally and have never encountered any problems until now. Despite mixing and burning my music to CDs, they are now being recognized as Data CDs with the music stored in subdirectories. This is causing inconvenience when I try to listen to my music in my car. I am 62 years old and rely on making money and listening to music while driving to keep me going. I have a background in running a PC tech service supporting Microsoft products for 20 years, which is why I have a strong preference for Microsoft over Apple. I have reached out for help previously without receiving a response, and I am reaching out again as I am in need of assistance. Your prompt help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
