The issue in GetHuman-mipafern's own words
I received an email from Neil Watson at One Microsoft Way, Redmond,Washington with the Reference number AZ**** regarding someone from Tokyo Japan had tried to access my computer. I called *-***-***-**** ( the number listed in the email ).My question is, if this person works for Microsoft Support and if this is legitimate? I called that number but I did not leave a message, however he called me back and asked me to push the Windows button and press R. When that happened all my documents came up. Then he asked me to turn off my computer for ** hours. I replied that I need to use my computer so he said to wait *** hour to turn my computer back on. Am I in any danger of all my personal information being in the wrong hands? I am really concerned and feel very foolish at this point.*I should have emailed your first before doing what he asked. My computer is a Windows Vista *. He said that it would go to the major server to try to determine the situation and that he would call me tomorrow. Please advise, as I am now very concerned. Thanks for any help in this matter.
