Yesterday, I had a problem with the icons not populating the toolbar. I called the Microsoft number listed in Spectrum directory assistance (***-***-****). The people I spoke to took control of my computer and scrolled a bunch ip addresses. The said that my problem was caused by hackers in Pennsylvania. They wanted to sell me software for $***. I smelled a scam and hung up. The taskbar is now populating correctly, and I see no evidence of damage. Malwarebytes and Norton found no problems. I want to inform you of these imposters, and I would like help removing anything that they may have installed, including a conference and remote control system called SupRemo.
GetHuman-judith_e did not yet indicate what Microsoft - Tech Support should do to make this right.
