I've been using the same activation code for YEARS. Pro edition, upgraded from W* to W** - suddenly my code is a Home edition and I have to 'reinstall'. Called tech, ** minutes later, speak with male, told my Windows * key is valid and need to be transferred to the activation department, another ** minutes later, female asks for my name and case number, I providing my name and then the case number I was given by the previous tech, in the middle of me speaking "Is this your case number?" I reply "This is the one I was given," she says "Oh I need your name and case number" puts me on hold and then hangs up * minutes later. So basically I called, waited an hour and half to be hung up on and completely frustrated.**Absolutely steller support* if you're going to outsource your support at least have them be freaking polite and useful.**It's a freaking miracle I'm not throwing away my license and moving exclusively to Mac and Linux at this point.
