While accessing my bank account, my computer unexpectedly shut down, prompting me to call a provided number for assistance. After contacting the support line, I was transferred to another individual who helped me regain online access but then attempted to sell me an $[redacted] protection plan, which I declined. The person then provided a name, Melvin Lours, and the contact number [redacted] ext. [redacted], instructing me to only communicate with him. However, I found it concerning when Melvin called me on Oct. 3rd, inquiring about my computer status and making plans to call again the next day. I am unsure if this is a legitimate situation or if it could be a scam. Please advise by reaching out at my number [redacted].

Hello, Two days ago, upon booting up my computer, I noticed that my personal desktop icons were missing, and I couldn't access most of the items on the startup menu. The Favorites were gone, and it seemed like my PC had been wiped. Fortunately, my backup drives were unaffected. Upon logging in, I was met with a window suggesting I had just purchased the computer, and I had to re-enter some programs. However, after rebooting, everything I did disappeared again. Today, I received a concerning call alerting me that my computer, which runs Microsoft Windows 10, was at risk of being attacked. The caller left a number to contact Microsoft immediately, which I haven't done yet. The number left was [redacted]. I suspect there might be a serious issue, and I would appreciate any assistance or guidance you could offer regarding this matter. Thank you, G.W.

I keep getting stuck in the account recovery process as they don't recognize my device. Despite providing all the necessary email details, I am unable to verify my ownership of the account. I bought an HP laptop in May [redacted] that came with Office [redacted] Home & Student Edition. After two months, I encountered issues with Microsoft Excel and file uploads. The HP service center suggested installing an older version of MS Office, so I switched to MS Office [redacted]. Unfortunately, the same problems persisted. I am uncertain if it's related to MS Office or Windows 10. I am considering a factory reset. Will the original Office [redacted] be automatically reinstalled? I am willing to invest some money if needed. Any guidance would be appreciated.

On Friday, my computer had a hack which caused the screen to go crazy. A number for Microsift was displayed, and I called it to resolve the issue. The person who assisted me claimed to be from MFS and was able to fix the problem, for which I paid $[redacted].99 to maintain the computer for five years. The check was made out to Cirrus Cloud Service LLC. I am unsure if this company represents MFS as I do not have their address.

I recently set up my new computer on Tuesday, but I am having trouble getting on it now. I tried changing the settings in the control panel to bypass signing in each time and set up syncing. After being prompted that the computer needed to restart, I was asked to enter my pin but it wasn't accepted. I attempted to follow the reset instructions without success. I am feeling lost as I am not very tech-savvy and don't know how to resolve this issue. Currently using my old computer to reach out for help.

I recently bought a new iMac to replace my old one, and the store's technicians transferred my files. However, I encountered issues with the new Microsoft Office version. With the help of one of your techs, I managed to access my old files, but they show as "unavailable" when trying to open them in Word or Excel. An error message pops up stating, "Can't open menu selection for Wayne Garrison event - 2.0. This document is either deleted or not currently accessible." I have numerous important files saved before October 7, [redacted], and after the new Microsoft Office software installation. I'm seeking assistance to recover these crucial files.

I recently renewed my Office subscription for the first time, and I am frustrated with the changes. After updating, I tried to upload my resume and cover letter that I've previously used, but the computer is prompting me to save them in an unfamiliar location. The icons look unfamiliar too, which is not helping. Additionally, I'm having trouble uploading my resume and cover letter to a website as they are not getting uploaded properly.

I have been unable to access my Hotmail email account, trevsam@ Hotmail.com, for the past two weeks. I rely on this account for important bills and emails. Currently wintering in the USA although my permanent residence is in Canada, this situation is particularly challenging and frustrating. I have completed two forms provided by the email service but even after receiving a four-digit security code, I am still locked out. Urgently need assistance to regain access to my account. I recently purchased a new Lenovo laptop and am currently attempting to install Microsoft [redacted] Home. Word and Excel installed without any issues, however, I am encountering difficulties with installing Outlook. Every time I try, I receive an error message stating "Browser incompatible," even though I am using Google Chrome as my browser. I reached out to Microsoft support via chat, but after speaking with three different representatives, they were unable to resolve the problem. They provided me with a phone number, 0[redacted], which unfortunately did not connect me to anyone after a long wait on the line. I am currently experiencing issues with my Microsoft account. My email address associated with the account is [redacted] There has been unauthorized access by someone who changed my password and made an unauthorized Xbox purchase of $[redacted].24 using PayPal. When attempting to reset my password, the verification process presents email addresses not belonging to me. Microsoft's verification prompt asks to send a security code to email addresses ending with mail.ru, to which I have no connection. I have contacted customer service but have not received assistance and was even disconnected. I seek guidance on recovering my account access, reversing the unauthorized charges, and resolving this security breach. Thank you, Lisa Cotter

We've been unable to access our email inbox for nearly a week now. Our account seems to be blocked, but we're unsure of the reason behind it. Despite speaking with four representatives, we've only been directed to fill out a form and wait for a response. Unfortunately, each time we receive an email from Microsoft, it leads to another representative requesting the same form submission. This cycle has left us feeling incredibly frustrated, especially since we believe there's no valid reason for the account lockout. We haven't opted to pay between $20 and $40 for assistance from an external tech expert, as we're concerned it might be a scam. Could you assist us in regaining access to our Microsoft email account? Additionally, we're curious about the cause of the initial lockout, a detail none of the phone representatives have been able to provide thus far.

Hello, I've been using the email [redacted] for the past 12 years, but I forgot the password and all the information associated with it. I've tried to reset the password through the Account Recovery option, but I can't remember all the information required to fill in the answers accurately. I really need access to this email because I think my Facebook and Instagram accounts got disabled by mistake, and I believe that they've sent a link or instructions to this email. I truly hope that you can assist me in recovering access to my email. Thank you.

I noticed a charge of $99 was withdrawn from my account on February 5th at 8 am for a product I haven't used in over a year. I am requesting a refund of the money taken without my authorization. I have been trying to contact your company all morning without success. Instead of redirects and more charges, I insist on a prompt refund back into my account. Thank you.

I am currently facing an issue with the compatibility of Office with the new Catalina operating system. I have bought Office multiple times and I am frustrated that I am being pushed to buy a product again that I already paid for thrice. I simply want Microsoft Office to work seamlessly as it did before without any additional charges or subscriptions. Kindly consider either refunding my money or resolving the compatibility issue by providing an update that is suitable for the Catalina operating system.
