I've been using Outlook [redacted] with my internet provider's email until they switched over to Google in June. Now, my emails go to Gmail, and I've installed the Gmail app on my PC to manage them. I need to access Outlook to retrieve old emails and contacts, but it's asking for login information to the Telus imap server, which no longer exists. Telus advised me to contact Microsoft for a solution. I simply need to access the stored Outlook data on my computer without needing information from the old Telus account. Can Microsoft bypass the Telus server requirement so I can open Outlook without any issues?

I recently contacted you via email regarding what I believe to be an intrusive action by Microsoft, who downloaded a software package onto my system without my consent or prior notice. The package repeatedly prompts me to upgrade to Windows 10 to optimize the performance of my 8th generation CPU with Windows 8.1-64. Despite my clear refusal to upgrade, I continue to receive these notifications. I am disappointed by the insensitive response from MS, questioning if my issue persists and what action is required to resolve it. I reiterate that I want Microsoft to remove the installed software causing these unwanted alerts. My previous email elaborates on the situation. I am frustrated by the lack of understanding and unhelpful customer service in Canada. It seems that Microsoft's approach is devoid of care or concern for its users, causing more aggravation than assistance. Sincerely, PL

I have been struggling to email a photo from my Windows 10 using MS Outlook. Despite following the online instructions to set Outlook as the default email program, the issue persists when trying to send photos from Photos, Pics, or Picasa. While residing in Canada, I reached out to MS customer support on September 14th at 1-[redacted]. Considering the confusion with multiple listed numbers, I also discovered 1-[redacted] today. I would appreciate it if someone could confirm the correct MS number for Canadian tech support to avoid this confusion in the future. My experience with the [redacted] number involved long wait times, two transfers without any assistance from a technician, and ultimately no response after leaving my callback number.

I live in Canada and have a PC running Windows 10 with MS Outlook. I have been facing an issue with emailing a photo for months. Despite setting MS Outlook as the default according to online instructions, I still can't email photos from my Photos, Pics, or Picasa programs. Yesterday, I tried calling MS customer support but got confused due to the numerous numbers listed online. I waited on hold for half an hour, got transferred twice, and waited another hour without any response or callback. I need a technician to troubleshoot and resolve this persistent problem. Please confirm the best number for Canadian tech support.

I am having trouble with my HotMail.ca emails being automatically forwarded to my old Sympatico email address. The issue started when I closed my Bell Internet account, which also led to the closure of my Sympatico email. This has caused senders emailing me at my Hotmail.ca address to receive error messages stating that their emails could not be delivered to Sympatico. Even though I requested Sympatico to forward emails to my Hotmail.ca account, emails are now being incorrectly redirected back to Sympatico. Despite attempts to resolve this with technical support and Bell, the problem persists. I am seeking assistance to identify and remove the link causing this issue between my Sympatico and Hotmail.ca accounts. Thank you for your help.

I am having trouble accessing my Microsoft account. The verification process is not working, and despite receiving emails stating they cannot recover my account, I have been attempting to regain access for five days with no success. Despite completing the recovery request forms multiple times, I am consistently informed that the information provided is insufficient. Additionally, I am experiencing a system error on my computer today, displaying "System thread exception not handled" with a notification about vsdatant.sys, rendering my computer unusable. As a temporary solution, I am currently using an iPad, but unfortunately, Microsoft and OneDrive have not been functional for three weeks.

Whenever I search on Microsoft, the results keep showing Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I actually live in Bowmanville, Ontario, and I need results for my area, not Ottawa. I am confused about why this keeps happening. My device's IP address is registered in Bowmanville. For instance, when I search for Walmart, I get Ottawa stores instead of those near me in Bowmanville. How can this be fixed to show accurate results for my location? Thank you.

I am unable to access a recently purchased computer due to a PIN reset request that requires a forgotten password. Previously, there was an option to provide the last four digits of the phone number for verification, but it now only allows for text message verification, which is not possible with my landline. Despite filling out forms multiple times, the issue persists. Reinstating the option for a phone call verification would help resolve this quickly. Access to a human representative is needed to regain account access, as managing multiple computers tied to Microsoft accounts has become challenging. The frustration with this situation is causing hesitation in continuing to use Microsoft products. Assistance in resolving this matter in Canada is requested. Thank you for your attention.

Hello, I am having trouble adding my Outlook account to the Android account sync. Whether I try in the Samsung Gmail app or the Outlook app since last week, in the Samsung app it said there was no internet connection for my email [redacted] However, my Gmail account works fine. So, I deleted Outlook to try to re-add it, but it's impossible. It gives me an error message when I click next after entering my email, so I can't enter the password. I tried with other Outlook and Gmail apps, but the same result. Everything works fine on my Windows 10 computer, and on Android, everything works well with my email [redacted] when I go directly to outlook.com. Thank you.

As a student needing to use Microsoft for a school assignment, I accidentally signed up for a free trial on my personal account. I did not use the services and was charged for a subscription the following month. I have canceled the subscription but am seeking a refund as I cannot afford this charge and did not intend to keep the service. I turned off recurring billing and hope this resolves the issue. Your assistance in refunding this charge would be greatly appreciated as I have no use for these services at this time.

Hi, I recently encountered an issue while setting up my account on your website with my email mtraski @ outlook. When trying to enter the access code sent to my other mailbox, I received two four-digit codes instead of one seven-digit code. The first code I received was [redacted], which I often use in my passwords. The second code was xx30, but I mistakenly entered xx31 twice due to suspicion. On the third attempt, I entered xx30 correctly after accessing my mailbox. It was only then that I received the correct seven-digit code. The following day, I changed my password to ensure security. This experience left me feeling uneasy as the initial correct code was not sent promptly. Could this be a security issue or mere coincidence? I remain unsure.

Hello, I wanted to provide a quick update. I realized that the issue I mentioned to you occurred when I changed my password on 10/12/20, not on 9/12/20 like I initially stated. Initially, I received a four-digit code from you instead of a seven-digit one, but on the third attempt, I finally received the correct code. I just thought I would let you know. Have a great day!

I have lost access to my [redacted] account, which I've had for a long time. I forgot my password. The account recovery process asks for information that is challenging for me to remember since I've had the account for a long time. It listed old services like Xbox and Skype, which I haven't used in a while. I have various subscriptions linked to that email. I no longer have access to my old phone linked to the account as it only receives SMS, and my current number is a landline. Please assist me in regaining access to my account.

I am having issues with my Microsoft [redacted] subscription. Microsoft keeps informing me that they cannot locate my subscription and inquire if I used a different account for the purchase. The notification states that I am logged in with [redacted], which is indeed my email address. Despite using the correct sign-in information and password, I cannot access my account. I have been billed on my credit card for recurring payments, and my account details confirm this. I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter promptly.

I am having trouble accessing my two Hotmail accounts. I tried to reset the password, but the phone number for the code is associated with another account. My email address was switched to my Gmail account on the office site linked to Hotmail. Now I am unable to access my Hotmail account and need to reset the password for it, not my office account. I am completely locked out. Can anyone assist me, please?

I recently experienced a security breach with my mobile provider, Bell Mobility. A few nights ago, there was unauthorized access to their store computers, resulting in a SIM card swap for users, particularly targeting those involved in crypto exchanges. As a result, my email address was compromised. The hackers changed my username, password, and possibly security questions. They used this to reset passwords on two crypto exchanges, ultimately locking me out of both exchanges and my email account. I am extremely frustrated with Microsoft's automated system and inability to speak with a live person to rectify this issue. Despite trying everything, I have been unsuccessful in regaining access to my email promptly.

I have been trying to reach you since 8:30 this morning, and no one is answering. I need someone to access my computer to set up the Microsoft [redacted] applications and fix my password, which never works. Please help me. I have been trying to call for 2 hours and keep getting disconnected. Why is no one picking up? My phone number is [redacted], and I speak French. Please assist me.

I'm having trouble accessing my Outlook email. Since I haven't used it in years, I can't complete the verification process because it's asking for recent email details that I don't have. The verification code is not an option because the secondary email and phone number listed are no longer in use. Online tech support has been of no help as I am just going around in circles.

Dear forum members, I am experiencing significant difficulties accessing my old email account ([redacted]) due to password issues arising from the use of my sister's computer. Since my old computer malfunctioned a few months back, I am unable to remember specific details like recent email recipients or subjects. As a result, Microsoft is preventing me from entering my original email account despite my belief that I now have the correct password. I attempted to access the account from my recently acquired sister's computer but only managed to worsen the situation, resulting in being locked out entirely. I have provided Microsoft with some email contacts from a few months ago, including [redacted] and [redacted], but it seems insufficient for verification purposes. I lack the required specific information to change my password, even though I can recall sending emails to my sister. Regrettably, I do not own a cell phone for text verification, only a landline with the number [redacted]. Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and anticipated support in resolving this matter. Best regards, Leslie Henderson

I am trying to access my files that were in my email account associated with [redacted], which is linked to [redacted] Unfortunately, I forgot my password and now cannot locate my files. Microsoft sent me multiple emails requesting information, but due to too many attempts, they have blocked my account along with my files. I had to create a new email, [redacted], but it is not linked to my previous account. I have been struggling to resolve this online without speaking to a representative, and it feels frustrating. It would be much easier if someone could call me at [redacted] for assistance.
