I need help understanding how to implement an 8-channel servo control algorithm using a free-running timer on a PIC16F690 microcontroller. I've reviewed an algorithm on a forum page. I have two questions: 1. In the line "CCPR1 += Pulse[n];," is this a 16-bit operation, and on an 8-bit microcontroller, would I need to write to CCPR1H and CCPR1L separately? 2. What does timer 1 in free-running mode mean? In the provided implementation, it seems the compare module is defined for software interrupt generation only. When n reaches 9, wouldn't Timer1 need to be reset? How do further cycles work without resetting the timer? I've seen similar algorithms in various places, where Timer1 isn't cleared. Am I missing something obvious on how TMR1H and TMR1L values trigger the compare interrupt without a reset?

Dear Forum Members, I need assistance with an old piece of equipment containing a malfunctioning "Temic" branded IC from the late 1990s. Despite extensive searches, I have found no information on this specific "I75471B" 64-pin 10mm TQFP chip. I am aware that Atmel acquired the "Temic" company around [redacted] or [redacted]. If there are any archival documents or datasheets related to this chip that could be shared with me, I would be grateful. I am willing to complete any necessary paperwork to facilitate this request. Thank you for your help. C.H. Electronics and Computers Hobbyist Contact: [redacted] Phone: [redacted] (afternoons and evenings only)
