I have been employed at Duluth Trading in Macomb County since October 2, [redacted]. On October 25, [redacted], during my shift from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, an incident occurred at 3:00 pm. A lead manager approached me in the store, loudly questioning my demeanor due to my frown, caused by a migraine I had all day. The manager made rude remarks about my personal hygiene in front of other staff members and customers, embarrassing me. Despite feeling uncomfortable, I finished my shift without taking a break. Upon discussing the incident with a counselor named Anna at Duluth Corporate Headquarters, I was advised not to return due to the manager's behavior. The following day, I decided not to go back to work after consulting with the associate store manager, Mr. Dan Weitzel, about the situation. Despite my attempt to file for unemployment benefits, I was informed I didn't meet the criteria. I am seeking guidance on how to proceed regarding this unfortunate situation where I felt victimized.

Hello, my name is Kross Clapper. I have filled out and received a receipt, but my card has not arrived yet. I visited the unemployment office in Saginaw to check if I missed a step, but they couldn't ascertain why my card hadn't arrived. They advised me to contact Bank of America, which I did. Bank of America mentioned there was an attachment on my address but couldn't provide specifics. They gave me your number to reach out. I am two months behind on bills and feeling desperate.

As a seasonal contract worker, I submitted my regular claim to Michigan unemployment on June 10, [redacted]. Despite meeting the requirements, I didn't receive my first payment. After an email exchange, I furnished my social security card and license to prove my identity as requested but didn't see any progress. Following further instructions via email, I encountered more issues and eventually found my account locked. Throughout the summer, I was left without unemployment benefits during my temporary layoff, and it wasn't until I returned to work on September 10th that I had any income. I'm currently attempting to contact them to inquire about receiving the back payments owed to me from June 10, [redacted], to September 10, [redacted].

I am currently on short-term disability and only received 29% of my actual paycheck for a 2-week period from 1/18 to 1/31. As a full-time associate at Walmart, I was given $[redacted].43 for short-term disability and $[redacted].14 for 12 hours of vacation time. After taxes, my net amount was $[redacted].82. Am I entitled to receive underemployment benefits from my employer for the missing income? Thank you.

I worked at Greektown Casino from August to January. One evening when I was running late for my shift, I called an hour beforehand but couldn't reach anyone. Despite leaving voicemails, I finally managed to inform them I would be late. Upon arrival, I scanned my ID card to enter, which indicated my assigned location and shift time. To my surprise, I received 5 points for a supposed no-call-no-show, even though I had called multiple times. After attempting to contest this, I was terminated without just cause. I admit to having accumulated 4 points previously but dispute the last 5 added points unfairly. Despite appealing for unemployment benefits due to being wrongfully dismissed, I was denied. As a struggling individual, I find it hard to make ends meet, especially now during the COVID-19 outbreak. I am uncertain about my next steps and seek guidance in this difficult situation.

I have been trying for three weeks to sign up for unemployment. I received an authorization number on the second day, but the website didn't accept it. After contacting MI Works, I was advised to log out of MiWAM and then back in to get a new number. However, I never received a new one. Now, I can't progress on MiWAM as it keeps asking for an authorization number which I don't have. I've been attempting this for a week. I urgently need to resolve this issue as my bills are approaching. Please assist.

Hello, my name is Alex Feathers. I recently encountered an issue with my unemployment account login. After visiting the unemployment office, I was advised to create a new account, which I did. However, I am now receiving a message stating "account locked" when attempting to log in. This issue arose from having two duplicate accounts, as per the office's instruction to create another one. I have attempted to contact the support number multiple times but have been unable to reach them due to high call volumes and maintenance. I am seeking help in deleting the unnecessary account so that I can resume my weekly certifications promptly. My current address is [redacted] 25th Rd, Gladstone Michigan, and my previous address was [redacted] Westridge 21.25 Dr, Gladstone Michigan. In case it helps, my date of birth is 09/30/[redacted], and my phone number is [redacted]. Thank you, Alex.

Subject: Help with Unemployment Benefits Appeal Hi there, My name is Will B. I faced challenges with my unemployment benefits claim on March 18th due to missing information about my past employers. I mistakenly reported only my most recent employer, assuming it was sufficient. Upon realizing the mistake, I submitted an appeal on March 24th, providing W2s from all five previous employers for a fair assessment. Unfortunately, I haven't received a response yet, and I am unable to reach the relevant authorities for an update. Another issue I encountered is my driver's license displaying an outdated address since my move in August [redacted]. Despite residing downtown, my records inaccurately show my parents' address in Northville. Will this discrepancy impact my unemployment benefits? I plan to rectify the address on my license by the week's end. The uncertainty is concerning as I rely on these benefits to cover my rent in April. Thank you, Will B.

Hello, My name is William Barwick. I was denied unemployment benefits on March 18th due to errors in filing forms. I only listed one of my five previous employers from the last ** months, wrongly assuming only the most recent one mattered. Upon realizing the mistake, I appealed the decision on March 24th, submitting all W2s from the past five employers for a new monetary assessment. I have not received any response, and I am unable to reach any office for clarification. Addressing another concern, my driver's license still shows my parents' address in Northville, although I moved downtown in August [redacted]. Will this affect my unemployment benefits? I plan to update my license by the end of the week. This process is unfamiliar to me, and I fear I may not be able to cover my April rent with unemployment benefits. Thanks, Will Barwick

I was laid off on March 18, [redacted], due to COVID-19 and applied for unemployment benefits the same day. I received approval with a claim number C[redacted]-0 and weekly benefits of $[redacted]. Over a week later, I received a Request for Information letter, which I faxed along with my identification documents. I certified for my benefits on March 30 but did not see a payment date in my account. Upon checking later, I noticed an Open Non-Monetary Issue. My attempts to contact UIA via phone and online have been unsuccessful, leaving me frustrated and stressed about the delayed funds. I am unsure why my claim is under review or what the Non-Monetary Issue entails. The lack of information and inability to reach anyone is making the situation difficult, especially with bills to pay.

I have been attempting to file an unemployment claim on MiWAM for the past two hours. I have completed the ID Information, Demographic information, and additional information sections, and most of the employment information. However, I am unable to proceed to the "Next Step." When I click to finish the Employment information section, it redirects me to a screen with a chart labelled "employer questions follow up" requiring me to identify my past employers in the last 18 months. I am stuck on this step and need assistance. It seems like I might be missing something straightforward. To provide support, please call me at my cell number [redacted]. A call while I am looking at the screen would be greatly appreciated.

I need assistance resetting my account for login. Late one night, tired and made an error. Entered my SSN, causing the system to freeze. Attempted to go back and clicked the link multiple times in impatience. Received a prompt to use a new account after some time, so I tried a different username and password but was alerted that the SSN was linked to another account, the initial one. A number was given to contact customer service to resolve, but no luck reaching them for a reset. When calling the login support number, constantly getting a busy signal at [redacted].

I applied for unemployment after my job temporarily shut down. The unemployment office employee mentioned a work search waiver and assured me I was 'good' for 6 weeks. However, I never received payments despite being told it was fixed. Eventually, I got one payment that covered my car, making me think everything was in order. With work not reopening as planned at the end of February and finding no job opportunities in my tourist town, I mistakenly indicated on my account that I hadn't searched for work. I'm struggling to contact someone because the phone lines are unavailable, and I'm not tech-savvy. I desperately need assistance to pay my bills during this pandemic and avoid moving in with my mom in WA. If anyone can provide guidance, please help me.

I have been waiting for three weeks to receive any information on my claim. I was denied even though I meet the minimum requirements for unemployment, submitted my W2, and have been trying to contact an agent. Every time I try, it shows an error message stating they are busy, and I can't get through on the phone either. I applied on the 15th after being laid off due to Covid-19, and my colleagues have already been approved, but I haven't. I contested the denial but haven't heard back. It's confusing and frustrating as I'm struggling to pay bills and support my father. I need assistance urgently, whether from a bot or a person.

I have two non-monetary issues with my account. One is marked as "OPENED," and the other is labeled as "PENDING FACT FINDING." The system is asking me to upload a document, but it's unclear what specific documentation is needed. The problematic jobs are at DOWNTOWN SAGINAW FARMERS MARKET and PIERCE ROAD BAR AND GRILL. I quit both positions and disclosed the reasons on my claim: I left DSFM for personal reasons related to the summer season, and I departed from PIERCE ROAD BAR AND GRILL due to accepting a job offer at my current workplace, TAVERN [redacted]. All my statuses show as completed and checked off except for the Determination Tab. I am seeking assistance with this issue as the current situation, especially due to the ongoing pandemic, has been challenging for many of us. Thank you in advance for your help and understanding.

When entering details to file a claim, the system populated my old information from a [redacted] claim, which included outdated email and phone numbers. Despite my numerous attempts calling daily, I am unable to update my information to proceed with the claim. The call either disconnects before connecting or prompts me to file online due to high call volume without addressing my concern. I've been caught in this loop for over a week, unable to speak to a live person at the UIA office to resolve this issue. I urgently need assistance to update my contact details and progress with my claim for financial support during these challenging times. Thank you. - E.C.

I am encountering difficulties logging into MiLog, and when I am directed to MiWAM, it rejects my SS#. This online process is supposed to be simpler, but it's quite the opposite. Unfortunately, contacting someone via phone is equally frustrating. The automated system gives a continuous busy signal, making it impossible to reach anyone. Although I recently attempted to call again and didn't encounter a busy signal, I was left in silence without any communication. While I remain unsure of my status, I am still on hold hoping to connect eventually. Given the overwhelming demand for unemployment benefits, patience is crucial, despite the current system flaws. The best approach might be to wait a few days for improvements. Understandably, the unemployment office is under immense pressure, much like a hospital dealing with a high volume of patients. While the process may be exasperating, it's vital to remain patient and understanding during these challenging times. Keep in mind that there is flexibility in the filing timeline, so there's no need to stress. Stay calm, give it time, and best of luck staying safe.

I have been struggling to reach anyone for over a week. I opted for voluntary layoff due to possible COVID-19 exposure at Design Force Marketing. I applied for unemployment on March 26 but mistakenly selected "Laid Off" instead of "Self Quarantine." My employer informed me my claim might be denied. I cannot correct the error or speak to anyone for assistance. I fear losing benefits from March 26 onward due to this technicality. I am stressed and seeking help to rectify this as my employer offers no solution. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have tried reaching Customer Service multiple times without success. I urgently need to update my phone number to receive the Authentication code. I signed up for unemployment due to the coronavirus outbreak. I completed the process successfully initially. However, when I attempt to log in now, it prompts me to enter my social security number and date of birth. After providing this information, it states that there is another account associated with my social security number, which I don't recall creating. This issue is preventing me from accessing my account to manage my claims.
