When I had saved up my money to treat myself to a Michael kors watch, i entered the Orlando premium outlets Michael kors store to purchase it, once I had chosen my watch I got it sized to fit my wrist. I bought it for $***.** (including tax) and I was told that it can’t be refunded because it had been sized which wasn’t a problem until I entered another watch store a couple stores down and they were selling a very similar watch for $** (without tax) and felt very hard done by as I thought I would be getting the best deal by going to a direct Michael Kors outlet. I then went back to the Michael Kors store and explained this to a staff member who was working on the floor what had happened and he completely understood my situation and happily got a manager for me to talk to. After explaining to the manager he told me there was nothing he can do that there is a policy that once it has been sized there can be no returns. I then explained how I felt from buying a $*** watch that had been worked hard for to then almost immediately walking into a store almost right beside Michael kors to see a very, very similar watch for $*** less and got nowhere! (I also previously bought * handbags and * wallets in the same store) I think for being such a big brand Michael Kors could have helped my situation a lot as they would have been able to either resell my purchased item has it had only been bought ** minutes previous and was not touched since being in the store, and I don’t think there would have been an issue reselling the watch as a staff member told us before buying it was a very popular watch and many people had bought it recently, or it could have been used as a display watch. I would like to be able to get a refund and repurchase the watch elsewhere.
