I own a [redacted] ML350 that is not even 6 years old. Recently, I've been experiencing issues with the vehicle not starting at times - there is no crank or start. I have replaced the key battery, but the problem persists. After taking it to the dealer, they performed a DAS test and identified a bad EIS. They replaced it and confirmed it was working during the test. I paid $[redacted].16 for this service. Given that this seems to be a common issue, we believe it should be a recall and we should not have been charged. We have the original faulty EIS from the dealer and can provide it if needed. Please contact me at [redacted] to discuss this matter further. - Virgil and Anne-Marie Pruteanu

I recently bought a [redacted] C250 from the Mercedes dealer in Oxnard, CA, which is a 2-hour drive from my Covina, CA home. The dealer just informed me that the car was not smogged before purchase, and now my tags are over 30 days late. I am unsure what steps to take next. Should I visit my local dealer or go to the DMV without any paperwork? While I have owned Mercedes vehicles before, this level of unprofessional service is new to me. Any help or advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, D. L., Email: [redacted].

We have a [redacted] S420 with only 30,[redacted] miles, in impeccable condition. Recently, the passenger side door mirror unexpectedly detached, revealing fried and smoking internal wires. This caused us to be unable to drive the car. The thin wires appeared fused together, revealing a flaw in the mirror assembly manufacturing. A replacement is priced at $[redacted], which covers the $[redacted] mirror assembly from your dealership plus 1.5 hours of labor. This issue is puzzling considering how meticulously we have maintained the car. Upon researching online, it's apparent that this wiring problem is common in these vehicles. We believe the responsibility lies with you and are curious if a recall was ever issued for this specific fault. Our intention is not to scrutinize but to seek a resolution to this matter. We would appreciate a representative from your team reaching out to discuss potential solutions for replacing this defective item.

My leased Mercedes Benz GLS450 is experiencing a persistent factory defect that remains unresolved despite multiple visits to the dealer over the past year. The issue involves mold and condensation build-up in the air conditioner causing health problems for my family, particularly my allergic 7-year-old. Despite being in contact with Mercedes Benz customer service and being promised a new lease, the problem still persists. I have a long history as a loyal Mercedes customer, owning several of their cars over the years, and while I love the GLS450 and am willing to continue with the lease, the mold issue needs to be addressed. The dealer has acknowledged their inability to fix the problem, and I have sought to resolve this amicably without resorting to legal measures under the Florida Lemon Law due to repeated service visits. I have been trying to gather service records for my complaint, but there have been delays due to technical issues at the dealer.

I have been a loyal Mercedes owner for 32 years, with my family and ex husband also owning Mercedes vehicles. From old to new models, SUVs to sedans, and even a Diesel that reached over [redacted],[redacted] miles, I have never encountered an issue like this. Currently, my [redacted] Mercedes is in service under warranty due to the wood grain fading on the passenger door. While they acknowledged it as a defect and plan to replace it, the mismatch with the other doors and dash is unacceptable to me. This does not align with Mercedes' reputation for sophistication, luxury, and performance. I am seeking resolution as I wait to speak with a customer service representative. Thank you.

I am dissatisfied with my [redacted] Sprinter WDZPE7DC8E[redacted]. I have been experiencing continuous A/C issues starting at [redacted] miles after 8 months of use. Problems persisted at [redacted] miles and worsened at [redacted] miles when the dealer identified a leak at the expansion valve. Subsequently, at [redacted] miles, there were more A/C issues due to a leak at the condenser. The advisor confirmed no external damage, attributing the failure to a defect requiring a $[redacted].00 replacement cost. Despite the vehicle having only [redacted] miles, it is out of warranty. This situation is unacceptable as I have never encountered A/C failures like this in any other vehicle. I believe Mercedes should cover the repair cost as a matter of principle, considering the premature failure of the A/C system, which started showing issues soon after purchasing the vehicle in November [redacted].

I am a 73-year-old individual who recently bought a [redacted] R500 Mercedes wagon at an auction. The vehicle seemed to work fine at the auction, but when I tried to drive it, it wouldn't shift gears properly. After taking it to Pep Boys, who couldn't assist me, I visited a transmission shop in Dacula, GA, where I spent $[redacted] on a serpentine belt and flush that didn't solve the issue. Another shop diagnosed it as being in limp mode and needing a control module. Different quotes ranged from $[redacted] to $[redacted]. Faced with various repair options, including trying to replace the control module myself after watching a tutorial, I find myself in a tough spot having spent $[redacted] of my savings with the car still not functioning. I am seeking assistance with repairing the faulty control module.

Two months ago, I had my car repaired, and they suggested a new battery and brain box due to the fan running at high speed. The repair cost $[redacted]. However, two weeks ago, my car wouldn't start, and after a long wait for a tow truck, I rented a car to reach the dealership. The repairman mentioned a possible issue with the key, but I hadn't replaced it. He now suggests ordering a new key as there seems to be a signal problem. The dealership is now asking for $[redacted] for a new starter, which I believe is caused by dry starts from not replacing the key after the previous repairs.

I recently purchased a Mercedes Benz GLA [redacted] with a Junge Sterne warranty. However, the dealer in the Netherlands (ASV Eindhoven) is refusing to work with the warranty due to past reimbursement issues. Consequently, I agreed to handle the expenses reimbursement myself. After contacting the Junge Sterne contact desk, they declined to cover the expenses citing the lack of an agreement before the work was done between them, the dealer, or myself. I find this situation unacceptable for several reasons: 1. The dealer's refusal to cooperate with Junge Sterne puts the burden on me to establish the connection. 2. I am puzzled by the expenses being denied due to lack of prior approval; the cost would have been the same regardless. 3. Purchasing an expensive vehicle with a warranty should come with better support, especially from a premium brand like Mercedes. 4. The reimbursement process with the warranty is unclear and needs better explanation. Despite having Junge Sterne warranty, I am now faced with [redacted].54 EUR in uncovered expenses. I question the value of the warranty if dealers in the Netherlands do not honor it.

I purchased a brand new C250 in December [redacted]. Recently, I encountered an issue with the air conditioning which was diagnosed by the company as a need for replacing the AC compressor and the freon tank. My car has less than 60,[redacted] km and is well-maintained. I am concerned about why the compressor failed so prematurely, especially given the high amount I paid for the vehicle. The dealership mentioned that the car is out of warranty, but their explanation that it was due to the compressor's lifespan is unsatisfactory. I have exclusively had my car serviced at the dealership, and it has always been well taken care of. I believe that Mercedes should take responsibility for this problem since my car has such low mileage.

My car has been driven less than 60,[redacted] miles in 3 years with all checkups and maintenance done ahead of time at the dealership. I dropped the car off on Thursday, 21-3-19 for the 60,[redacted]-mile service and an AC problem. After two weeks, they informed me that I needed to pay around $4,[redacted] to change the compressor and the freon tank, without including the maintenance. When I inquired about the reasons for the damages, they mentioned it was due to the part's lifetime. Despite my belief that the car is in good condition and only used for 3 years, they stated the warranty expired on 20-12-18. I'm confused as Mercedes Benz parts are usually considered lifetime, lasting longer than 3 years. This situation has left me disappointed, having a long history of owning and using Mercedes cars. It's disheartening to buy a new car for $58,[redacted] and now be asked to pay this significant amount for repairs, especially as the sole user of the vehicle. CAR # WDDWF4FB4GR125376

I own a [redacted] Mercedes Sprinter with around 56,[redacted] miles, mainly highway driving. I've noticed a slight noise from the steering linkage when turning the wheel whether stationary or moving slowly. After a recall repair at the Mercedes Dealer in Oxnard, California, they recommended replacing the front shock absorbers, steering rack, and a 4-wheel alignment, totaling $4,[redacted].77. As I'm starting a plumbing corporation and considering Mercedes Sprinters, I'm hesitant due to this recent issue. I prefer to stay loyal to Mercedes, but if this is a common design flaw, I might reconsider. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am experiencing issues with the CD/MP3 player in my [redacted] E300 car. I purchased the vehicle in January [redacted] from Mercedes of West Chester, and it worked fine until January [redacted]. The player makes noise, stops playing, and is hard to eject CDs. Initially, the dealership blamed it on the cold weather, but even after they replaced the player, the problem persists. The dealership insists the problem is due to burned CDs, not commercially produced ones, but I believe that is not the issue. My previous E420 ([redacted]) and other CD players have never had similar problems. I am seeking a reliable player for my car. Thank you for your help. Best regards, Paula C. I contacted Mercedes-Benz of Ft. Pierce last Thursday to schedule a tire rotation and balancing for my E400. Melissa booked me in for the next morning at 10 AM. However, upon arrival, I was informed they were too busy to perform the service as scheduled. I wasted most of my morning waiting. When questioning why I was scheduled if they were backlogged, Melissa had no answers. In the future, I'll only come here for warranty matters. I regret choosing the Mercedes over a Tesla Model S last year due to service concerns. If given another chance, I'd opt for the Tesla and get my tires serviced at Tires Plus in ST. Lucie West. This dealership's management is lacking.

I own a [redacted] E500. Despite the dashboard showing "STOP CAR TOO LOW," my mechanic looked at it with the trunk open for a while. Now, when I turn the key, the dashboard lights come on normally, but the car won't start, and each time I try, the dash cluster shows a varying number of malfunctions like 2, 7, or 1 (ESP, ABS, service light). I need help getting my car running again. I checked the fuses; they are all okay.

I have a [redacted] W140 S-Class [redacted] SWB with the 1st version Engine M104. Recently, I've noticed a slight jerk in my [redacted].3 4-speed transmission when shifting between D and R. Here are the main points of the issue: 1. Shifting to R causes a jerk, and even when I brake, the engine feels like it's gaining power, hinting at sudden acceleration. To resolve this, I need to switch back to P for a minute before going back to R to reverse normally. 2. Shifting to D results in a slight jerk, but all gears from 1 to 4 operate smoothly when driving, including coming to a stop at signals and regular traffic conditions. I've undertaken the following steps to address the gearbox concerns: 1. Changed transmission oil 2. Replaced rear flex disc 3. Engine mountings and gearbox are new 4. Replaced PAN gasket and filter After completing these tasks, the jerking issue has improved, although there is still a slight jerk present.

Hello Glen, I wanted to address an issue I've been having with my [redacted] Mercedes. About six years ago, the passenger side door handle broke and was replaced by one of your technicians. Unfortunately, the same handle has now broken again. I have an appointment scheduled to have it fixed tomorrow, but I am quite puzzled by why this has happened. The original handle lasted eight years, and the replacement only lasted a short time. As a retired engineer since the middle of [redacted], I drive less than [redacted] miles a year, and the passenger side door is hardly used more than 3-4 times a week. This situation seems to point to poor quality in Mercedes parts and/or installation issues, which is concerning from a safety perspective. In the past, we have owned Volvos, BMWs, and American cars, all of which we kept for over 10 years without experiencing a problem like this. I even had a Volvo with over [redacted] miles, and the door handle never broke. This recurring issue with the Mercedes door handle indicates a serious quality and safety concern on the Mercedes-Benz side. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Regards, Suresh Shah

Good morning, I am a family member of an individual who visited Mercedes Benz in Sheffield. They were dealing with a sales representative named Josh, but unfortunately, he never got back to them regarding a motability car. This has left them very upset, and I am certain we will not be making a purchase now. You can reach them at 0[redacted]. I am eager to hear what Daniel will have to say when contacted by your head office. It's important that Daniel's situation is resolved promptly and professionally. Sincerely, Roger.

I recently experienced a Battery Malfunction light issue with my [redacted] GLC E. Worried about driving to Huntington Mercedes where it is leased, Mercedes arranged for it to be towed to MB Brooklyn. The starter battery was replaced by Marion Luke, my service advisor, who kindly provided a loaner. Unfortunately, the valet misplaced the key fob inside the car, causing some distress as I couldn't locate the key initially. Despite assurances from the dealership, it took some time to find the key. During my interactions, I overheard the service advisors, including Marion, laughing about my situation which left me feeling embarrassed. I addressed this unprofessional behavior in my dealership survey. This incident was unexpected, and I have documentation to support my experience. In all my years with Mercedes, this has been a unique and disappointing situation compared to my time at Huntington Mercedes.

I am reaching out for assistance regarding our Mercedes vehicles. We have a history of owning various models, currently the issue lies with our [redacted] MB ML [redacted] Bluetec with [redacted],[redacted] miles. A severe oil leak led to repairs including replacing the intakes, turbo, and oil pump, totaling over $9,[redacted]. Given our loyalty to Mercedes and the expectation of longevity from diesel engines, we are disheartened by this premature failure. We believe this may be an isolated incident and kindly request Mercedes' support with this unexpected expense. Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated. Thank you. Sincerely, Frank S. 52 Winding Wall Dr. Hawley, PA [redacted]
