If you are looking for a refund you should call into the company as the best option is to talk with a representative about the charges. You can always bring the item into the store too.
The issue in GetHuman-kaylasua's own words
I purchased an iPhone X and I was aware that that it was iCloud locked but was told by the seller that I would be able to unlock the iCloud by going to apple and I called apple to be sure and they confirmed that when I went to an apple store that I would be able to unlock it but when I went to apple to get the phone unlocked they said they could not unlock the phone now I have phone that cannot be used I would like my refund and to send the phone back to the seller.
GetHuman-kaylasua did not yet indicate what Mercari should do to make this right.
