Hello, My name is Arial Lenzi and I am a cardholder of your stores. My boyfriend and I visited the warren ohio store on *******. I like this store and spend time looking at everything. Needless to say I will never return. I had looked at an Item called Dog barking control (birdhouse)? If I'm remembering the exact name of the item. I Put it in my shopping cart. Finally found my boyfriend in the store and asked him what he thought about it and decided to look online at reviews*pricing and decided against it. So I set it down in the isles ( near registers) by outdoor lawn items. After approximately * hours of shopping we checked out. Nearing the exit doors I was stopped by a young man employed there manager I believe??? and he proceeds to say " Mamm you had a dog bark control product in your buggy and I see you did not have it at checkout. I seen you put it in your buggy. I said yes and what about it? Are you accusing me of something? He said well where is it? I said I put it back, your acussing me of stealing this, where do you think I could possibly of put something that big? ( showing him the inside of my purse) which could never conceal an at least **" by **" box, mind you neither one of us had a coat on either. He said well will you show me where you put it down at? I said absolutely. Took him straight to where i had set it down and handed it to him. Then he wants to explain to me he was not accusing me of anything. I was livid, humiliated in front of other employees and customers and appalled. I used my menards card for the first time and a rebate from the first time i visited this store in late ****. AND THE LAST TIME I WILL VISIT or USE THIS CARD. Absolutely stunned I decided to call the store to talk to management and was told he was doing his job. Well if he was doing his job by observing me put something in my cart he should have also been doing his job by observing me set it down. I got nowhere with this phone call. And I believe NO APOLOGY FOR THE HUMILIATION...Not only was I humiliated but also so was my boyfriend. We live in Pa and drive over to warren Ohio just to shop at the menards store. I am still in shock. I was wtongly accused and embarrassed. We are good people and honest people. We were not treated like such. Needless to say I will never visit a Menards store again after this experience. Something needs to be done about this. This was unfair and absolutely uncalled for. Thank you.
