I'm disappointed with my recent washer purchase experience. After buying it at a Menards store, receiving two confirmation emails, and driving over an hour for pickup, I was informed they sold it the night before - even though I confirmed it was in stock when purchasing. The representative's late notice gave me no alternatives. I'm now requesting Menards to make it right by waiving the shipping fee for the same model from Illinois due to their communication negligence. I hope for a prompt reply and am open to a phone call to resolve this matter.

I recently saw a TV promotion offering 20% off all lighting fixtures at Menards. Excited, I went to the Melrose Park, IL store to purchase a specific light I had been eyeing. To my disappointment, the price was not reduced, despite some other lights being on sale. I thought I might have misunderstood the promotion, but after speaking to a sales associate, I learned that the lights were indeed on sale, although the signage was not clear. Frustrated, I spoke to the manager about the lack of signage in the store. Despite eventually buying the light, I was not satisfied with the response I received. I called the store manager, Mr. Efrain Contreras, to express my dissatisfaction with the poor signage in the store and the unhelpful responses I had received. I requested the 20% discount I had missed out on and expressed my disappointment at not feeling like a valued customer.

While shopping at Menards in Kirksville, Missouri today, I was approached by what seemed to be a security person. They accused me of stealing something I had just purchased and insisted I go to a locked room. I offered to empty my pockets to prove my innocence, but they accused me of doing a return that I never did. I just happened to have a warrant unrelated to the situation, which prevented me from staying to defend myself without being arrested. The security person kept the item I bought and refused to return it. I demand that the surveillance footage be reviewed as it will show I am innocent. I want my purchased item back, and I believe the cashier Brenda should be fired for involving security in a wrongful accusation. The security personnel should also be fired for withholding my paid item and falsely accusing me. If this matter is not resolved, I will have to contact my lawyer and take legal action against the corporate office for their actions.

I recently tried to get a price adjustment on the corrugated rustic panels I purchased during the President's Day sale in February at the Menards store in Appleton. I had some issues with the customer service I received. The employee, Jena, was not very friendly, and when I asked to speak to a manager, a young female staff member handled my request. She offered me a $30 in-store credit per box, but I felt that I was owed more due to the pricing difference. Unfortunately, she did not listen to my explanation and became hostile during our interaction. I believe that training in customer service and communication skills is necessary for the staff at this store. Despite being a frequent customer who has spent a significant amount at Menards, I am disappointed by this incident and do not plan to shop there again. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving customer service at your store.

Hello, I am writing to address a recent incident at the Evergreen Park store involving Juan and Krystle taking the LED mirror I purchased on January 23, [redacted]. I spoke with Jonathan at the store, who confirmed that the merchandise is indeed there. I paid $[redacted] for the mirror located at the end of the aisle with the bathroom vanities. I am seeking either an exchange for a working mirror, a refund, or store credit to resolve this matter. The mirror was taken from me on 02/26/19, with both my money and the merchandise disappearing. I kindly request to speak with a district manager to assist in resolving this issue promptly. Thank you, Helen

I am frustrated by the nearly two-month ordeal I've experienced with our local Menards store. My wife received a new kitchen for Christmas, and we decided on a rustic hickory style from Menards. The associate who assisted us, Chaz, helped us choose the cabinets. However, when the cabinets arrived, they didn't match the rustic hickory look we expected. The store manager informed us we would face a restocking fee unless we purchased different cabinets from Menards. Reluctantly, we paid over $[redacted] more for the finished rustic hickory cabinets. I spoke with the general manager, Adam, who acknowledged the misleading display and agreed to replace the cabinets. Unfortunately, the delivery crew was mistakenly sent to the wrong address by a staff member named Mable. Eventually, the new cabinets arrived, and after three weeks without a kitchen, I had hired help ready for their installation. However, the delivery was delayed, leaving us waiting for almost an hour.

I recently went to Menards to return an unused 9-1/2 inch Linesman's Pliers without a receipt. I contacted Menards prior and was told to bring the item with my ID for store credit. Despite following instructions, upon returning the pliers, I received a receipt instructing me to contact [redacted] for assistance. This was unexpected as I was assured over the phone that I could return the item without issues. To add to my frustration, I was now being asked to surrender the pliers as well. Feeling deceived and concerned about the situation, I am reaching out to understand why this process has gone awry and how it can be promptly rectified. I seek transparency, fair treatment, and a resolution that upholds your commitment to customer satisfaction.

Today, on 3/9/19, we visited our local Menards, as we do every weekend. I wanted to purchase a 3-piece bistro set that was advertised for $64. I asked a passing gentleman to help me get one, and he kindly did, also getting the 6-piece set I wanted. At checkout, the total was higher than expected. I inquired about the prices, finding out the 6-piece was correct but the 3-piece was ringing up incorrectly. After showing the sale display to the cashier and a woman who came over, we were told the SKU numbers were wrong, and they didn't have the item we wanted in stock at the sale price. Despite the items being exactly the same, the manager refused to honor the displayed price, and another worker could only offer it for $90, not satisfactory since it was listed for $64. I am disappointed by the manager's and the woman's unhelpful and condescending behavior. Even though some staff members were polite, the overall experience was disappointing. I am considering shopping at Lowe's or Home Depot instead.

I am writing to express my concern about a recent change in store policy. It seems that customers are now required to go out to the yard to collect building supplies that were once available inside the store. This new process not only feels rushed and inconvenient, but it also poses safety risks with the presence of machinery, delivery trucks, and other customers in the yard area. While the staff is always willing to assist, it appears that they are instructed to remain inside, possibly to attend to other customers, leaving me feeling undervalued and inconvenienced. This has occurred three times this week, with the last instance being particularly frustrating when I had to go all the way to the far end of the storage facility for a simple 1x4.

On 3/10/[redacted] in Casper, WY, my family and I visited Menards for some shopping. The store manager wrongly accused my 16-year-old autistic son and later my husband of taking knives from the store. The situation escalated when they reviewed the security footage, revealing it was not us involved. Despite the evidence, the manager persisted in accusing us, causing a humiliating and embarrassing scene in front of other customers. The individual on the video had a red baseball cap, not resembling anyone in my family. This experience was distressing, as the manager should have verified the facts before making false allegations. It was disappointing to face such baseless accusations publicly.

Hello, I placed an order for two Quality One™ 30" x 12" Unfinished Oak Over-an-Appliance Wall Cabinets with Order Number TOLN[redacted]4 on February 20, [redacted]. The total was $98. On March 7, [redacted], I was informed that the order was ready for pick up. However, upon sending my contractor to retrieve the cabinets on March 12, [redacted], we discovered that only one cabinet was received by the Menards store. As the cabinets are not in stock, a new order with Number TOLN[redacted]3 was created for the missing cabinet. This delay has disrupted my renovation plans and the new order is not set to ship until April 2, [redacted]. This extended wait is not acceptable given the previous delay in shipping. I am requesting expedited shipping of the cabinet to the Menards store and also compensation for the inconvenience experienced. I hope this issue can be promptly addressed to avoid further delays. Thank you, Sherese

On March 9th, I bought two new grills and some accessories. The following day, I went back to get two grill covers and more items, spending over $[redacted]. I've been a loyal customer for the last 6 months due to home projects. Unfortunately, when I opened one grill over the weekend, I found the front frame crushed. After exchanging that one, the second grill had a broken handle. When I tried to exchange it, the manager suggested using parts from the first two grills, which I declined as I paid for new items. The manager accused me of being unreasonable, but I insisted on getting new replacements. I mentioned contacting the Better Business Bureau and local tv station if I didn't hear back soon. I was frustrated that Home Depot didn't answer their helpline when I called.

As a carpentry business owner, I typically spend between $25,[redacted] to $50,[redacted] annually at Menards. While I appreciate their prices, I've encountered numerous issues at the Hodgkins, Illinois store. Recently, when trying to order 9 prehung 6-panel doors and 10 bifolds, I was met with unhelpfulness from an employee named Dan Kozak in the door department. Despite my request to place the order manually due to online issues in the past, he insisted on online ordering only. Feeling frustrated, I am contemplating not shopping at Menards anymore. With a significant local following on my business page, the way this was handled is disappointing. I hope this situation can be rectified promptly.

I recently returned some items, including boxes of tile, without a receipt due to a malfunctioning machine. During the return, the tile items were not refunded at full price, and a clerk promised an adjustment once I had the receipt. Now, when I tried to follow up, I was informed this adjustment is not possible. I am feeling frustrated by this situation as I would have waited to return the items if I had known. I believe this issue can be rectified by providing me with the price difference from the correct receipt. It's disappointing that misinformation from an employee has resulted in me being inconvenienced in this way.

I placed an online order, but never received my item. It was supposedly shipped to my home, but there's no evidence of delivery. I called the store and found out it was sent to a different location. However, that store claims it was indeed sent to my address. Despite exchanging numerous emails, no progress has been made. It's been over a week since they claimed it was delivered, and I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service. I've only been communicating with someone named Jeff online, and I've hit a dead-end. I've requested for the item to be resent with proof of delivery, requiring a signature, but this was not done. At this point, I am very frustrated and just want a refund.

I would like to raise a concern regarding the customer service at your Terre Haute, Indiana store. As a general contractor, efficiency is crucial in my line of work. Unfortunately, I have faced issues with your employees recently, leading to a loss of approximately $[redacted] in wages over the past two days. Last Sunday, I was assisted by an employee named Donovan in the plumbing department, who mistakenly ticketed me for the wrong round shower base. This error forced me to return the item, resulting in wasted time and money. Today, when visiting your store for plumbing materials, I found the PVC fittings in disarray. As a frequent customer, I expect a higher level of service and organization, especially during busy mornings when time is of the essence for contractors. I hope for an improvement in the customer service standards at this location. Thank you.

I visited Menards with my husband and encountered a cashier's rude behavior when purchasing softener salt. Despite our frequent visits, the cashier was dismissive and impolite. I reported the incident to the customer service desk, and the manager assured me it would be addressed. However, I was disappointed when the front-end cashier manager brushed off the issue. I appreciate the desk manager's apology, but the cashier's behavior was unacceptable. As a loyal customer who spends a significant amount at Menards, this experience was disheartening. I own a store nearby that also shops at Menards frequently, and I believe the cashier, Celeste, and the manager need to improve their customer service skills. I hope Menards considers addressing such behavior to maintain a positive shopping experience for all customers. Thank you for your attention. - Penny W.

I am disappointed by the service I have received regarding the return of a distance laser meter worth $[redacted] plus tax that my friend returned on 08/18. Despite providing proof of return, the returns department has only given me a receipt without offering a refund or store credit. I have been trying to resolve this for months, but I am now being ignored. I am requesting either the return of the meter, store credit, or a refund equivalent to what my deceased friend paid. If this matter is not resolved by the end of the month, I will escalate it further through legal means and consider contacting the BBB and the press regarding the conduct of the returns department at Menards.incerely, a dissatisfied former customer.

In January, we purchased laminate countertops from the Lake Ozark store. Despite following the employee's instructions, the template we received was incorrect. After several attempts, the countertops were finally delivered last weekend, albeit many weeks late. Upon inspection, one of the angled tops had noticeable scarring from the factory tool used during manufacturing. The laminate was marked with tiny teeth lines following the curves. It is disappointing that such imperfections were not caught during factory inspection. This entire process has been frustrating and time-consuming. We are disappointed with the quality of the product. We are happy to provide photos for further clarification. Our last order number was [redacted]9. Thank you. -David and Ellen Hill, Osage Beach, MO.

Hello, my name is Dustin Lee, and I run a small construction business in Casper, Wyoming. I want to share an experience I had with a recent project involving a post frame package purchased from the Casper store for William Lindbergh on March 1st. During the construction process, we encountered several missing items - including corner material and J channel for trim, which led to additional expenses of around $[redacted]. Despite purchasing the necessary items, we faced another setback when we ran out of siding, leaving a wall unfinished. After contacting the store, we were informed of a $[redacted] charge for the missing siding. Additionally, the delivery of the overhead door resulted in damage to my yard, and the loading process was problematic. I have documented these issues with photos, and I am hoping for a resolution. Please feel free to contact me at [redacted] or the client, William Lindbergh, at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
