I recently purchased dog food totaling approximately $36 using my fiancé's child support card. Unfortunately, the receipt printer malfunctioned and only printed a partial receipt. Despite not giving consent, the assistant manager Kevin refunded the purchase and requested us to pay again, depleting the remaining balance on the card. When inquiring with the general manager, he stated there was nothing that could be done. Feeling frustrated as my dogs are hungry and my funds are tied up due to an unauthorized transaction, I am hoping for some form of compensation for the inconvenience. My elderly mother, aged 70+, bought a Propel pellet stove that unfortunately arrived with rust on top. Despite this, she accepted it because it was the last one available nearby. Upon unpacking, we discovered a rodent nest inside, making it unsuitable for her use. She lives in a rural area and relies on expensive propane for heat. With the stove being unusable, I need to return it to the store, which involves a long drive and heavy lifting. The stove was meant for [redacted] square feet, but her home is around [redacted] square feet. It's a challenge due to her limited mobility and the freezing temperatures outside. We have evidence of the rodent infestation inside the stove, which may lead to unpleasant odors if used. It's a distressing situation for my elderly mother, and we are unsure how to proceed, especially as the model she purchased has been discontinued.

After considering several reviews and complaints on the Better Business Bureau site, I feel my recent experience at Menard's falls below my expectations. Despite not anticipating exceptional customer service at most stores, I am disappointed with my recent interaction at Menard's. We frequently shop at Menard's for various household items and renovation supplies. Today, while purchasing tiles with my husband, I also bought a can of Hunts Tomatoes from the grocery section. To my dismay, upon checking the can's date, I discovered it expired on June 7, [redacted], while today is January 13, [redacted]. When I contacted the store to address the issue, the associate Joey Roberts, whom I initially spoke to, displayed a lack of empathy. Although he mentioned he would check their stock, there was no genuine apology or offer to replace the expired item. After requesting to speak with another manager named Jeff, he provided a more appropriate apology. However, I was disheartened by the initial lack of empathy and acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. I have retained the can's lid, receipt, and photos as evidence and will ensure I receive the $1.68 refund for the expired product. Despite the disappointing experience, I hope to receive better customer service in the future.

I am dissatisfied with the service I have received regarding my fence supplies order at Menards. Initially, a part of my order from the Richmond, IN store was missing, causing delays in my project. Despite reordering the items, it took over a week for them to arrive from the distribution center in Holiday, Ohio. Now, the final part of my order, chain link tension bars, which was due today, is on back order for another two weeks. I have reached out to the distribution center for an update after tracking my order on the website. The lack of communication and delays have significantly impacted my project timeline and caused inconvenience. I believe Menards should compensate me for the trouble and provide better service for their customers, as timely delivery is essential. Bogus.

I want to share an experience I had at Menards on Erie St. in Massillon, Ohio. I visited the store on January 15, [redacted], around noon. While shopping for a shower head, I had snacks I bought nearby. An associate helped me choose the shower head, and I went to pay with my black card, using Google Pay for the rest, but it didn't work. When I went to get my bank card, a Loss Prevention officer accused me of stealing peanuts. I showed my receipt, but the situation left me embarrassed. The manager's response was condescending when I raised my concerns. I've spent a lot at Menards and never encountered this. I plan to involve legal support for racial profiling training. Another incident where a different person wrongly accused me of drinking a soda happened. I wish to discuss this with someone senior. Please refrain from the store manager responding. I had a disappointing experience at the Menards location in Grand Forks, ND. I live quite far away, so I called to inquire about the price of a 3/4" thick 4x8 plywood sheet, which was quoted to me at $41. However, I needed the sheet cut in half to 4x4 due to my vehicle size. The store was unwilling to accommodate this request without charging me double the price for two 4x4 sheets at $40 each. In contrast, Lowes, your competitor across the street, offered the same 4x8 sheet for $55, only $14 more, and agreed to cut it in half for free. When I expressed my concerns to the Menards store manager, he cited company policy and did not offer a solution. The lack of customer service has left me disappointed, and I will not be shopping at Menards again. I intend to share my experience with others and consider reporting this issue to relevant authorities and consumer organizations.

I recently experienced a misunderstanding at Menards that led to my termination. I want to clarify that I did not engage in discussions about pornography or masturbation with guests or coworkers. The conversation was initiated by a coworker, and I simply expressed my opinion that thinking lustfully about someone is inappropriate, and I personally believe gay marriage and abortion are wrong. I never intended to offend anyone, and I regret not changing the topic. In high school, I was falsely labeled as gay due to not having a girlfriend, which was hurtful. I value everyone equally and do not discuss people in a negative manner. I suffer from anxiety and was shocked by the accusations made against me, which are untrue. I have never spoken about masturbation or pornography at work. I acknowledge that I should not have asked personal questions about sensitive topics like gay marriage and abortion in the workplace. Despite being a dedicated worker who received positive feedback from guests and coworkers, I find myself unfairly terminated, and I feel my hard work has been disregarded. I am disheartened by the false allegations made against me.

Regarding Order # LONG [redacted]4 On 1/26/[redacted] at 9:00 AM, I returned 22 boxes of excess Hickory Granite wood flooring from my original order of 55 boxes. I am disappointed that Menards did not provide a credit card refund for the returned items, especially since I only had the flooring for 53 days. I was anticipating a refund of $[redacted].33 to be credited back to my original payment method, but instead, I received a Menards Merchandise Credit Check and was informed that items must be returned within 90 days for a refund. The quantity of flooring was suggested by the salesperson based on my room sizes. Despite my concerns about the excess, I was assured it was better to have more than not enough. I paid in full on 10/27/[redacted] to avail of a rebate offer, even though the delivery was scheduled for mid-November. My signed order did not mention anything about receiving a merchandise credit check for returns past 90 days. I purchased Ecobricks online, indicating 5 left, and paid on Sunday, 1-27-[redacted]. Upon arrival before 8 am for pick-up, I was informed the items were not available and could only get a refund. This is the second occurrence of ordering, payment, then being told the product is sold out upon arrival. I am looking to report this incident to the BBB and the FBI due to suspected internet fraud. Attempts to call were unsuccessful. I am seeking legal advice. The product was to be available in February, but no notice was given. When requesting a refund, the manager demanded a receipt, even though I presented all relevant information. This experience has been frustrating and unprofessional.

My spouse and I recently purchased bathroom tiles at Menards. We got 8 packages for around $18 each and submitted the receipt for the 11% rebate. However, after installing the tiles, we realized they were not suitable. Returning the tiles without the receipt was challenging as Menards offered the lowest sale price of $2 per package due to a promotion. Unfortunately, they couldn't locate the receipt using my phone number or contact corporate to retrieve it. They also couldn't refund the price difference easily. The staff member was helpful, but the process was frustrating. I've been a loyal Menards customer for years, but this experience might make me reconsider. I need to discuss a couple of incidents that occurred at Menards in Greenwood on [redacted]. On my recent visits, I noticed safety issues involving a Joey in the air without spotters, putting me at risk. When I raised this with the general manager, Jason, he was dismissive and even threatened to call the police when I mentioned contacting the corporate office. On another visit in December, a similar safety concern with the Joey arose, and although I kept my distance, Jason accused me of trespassing without allowing me to explain. I have never encountered such treatment at the store before and feel unfairly treated. I tried emailing a complaint earlier but received no response. I would appreciate a call back to address these incidents. Thank you.

I hope you can understand my experience when I was left stranded at your store on February 7, [redacted], as I encountered a door lock issue due to freezing weather conditions. Today, on February 10, [redacted], I visited Menards located at [redacted] Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, MI [redacted]. I chose the last checkout counter where the attendant directed me. After completing my purchase, a woman approached me, questioning if I had checked out and requesting to see my receipt. While searching for it, she chuckled a few times, making me uncomfortable. I located the receipt, showed it to her, and then she proceeded to inspect the contents of my laundry basket. I frequent this Menards often, but this experience was exceptionally humiliating, especially with a group of people witnessing it at the customer service desk. I felt racially profiled as a mixed-race person (black and white) during this encounter, which left me in tears both at the store and later at home in Hudsonville. My husband insisted I return to get the employee's name, Beth, who was chatting at the customer service desk. The store manager, Eric, provided a brief apology not meeting the gravity of the situation. I expressed my disappointment to them and considered not shopping there again. I believe there was a security alert mentioning my presence over the intercom before the incident, adding to my distress. I seek an email address to escalate this matter to the district manager and their superior. As a 23-and-a-half-year military veteran, I am compelled to ensure my concerns are addressed. Thank you.

I visited the Menard East store yesterday between 4:45 and 5:00 PM. When I returned to my truck parked between Menard's and Target, a few stalls from the front, I witnessed a concerning incident. The driver of the Froseth Enterprises plow truck was aggressively confronting a lady in an SUV ahead of him. Suddenly, he accelerated past her, almost losing control as he drove by. His behavior was alarming as he then abruptly cut her off before continuing his plowing duties. This reckless and aggressive behavior in a parking lot is unacceptable. I felt compelled to report this incident as his actions were dangerous and unwarranted towards a fellow shopper. I believe it's important to address this behavior to ensure the safety of others. Just to clarify, this occurred between 5:00 and 5:15 PM on 2/11/19 while I was getting into my truck. Thank you, - TD

I need to inquire about the return policy for my snowblower purchased at the Rice Lake Menards. The snowblower, the last one in stock, was a display model with the handlebars detached for transportation, loaded by the store. Once at my son's place in Hayward, we realized essential parts such as 3 bolts with large wing nuts and a cable connector were missing. Despite contacting Menards and being redirected to the manufacturer for parts, we were left with back-ordered components for this $[redacted] machine. The snowblower remains unused, as we await the missing parts. If the pieces do not arrive promptly, I plan to return it to the Rice Lake store. It is puzzling that these parts are absent in a displayed and assembled machine, leading to disappointment in the customer service process.

I wanted to share my recent experience at the Lake Orion MI location. While shopping for molding late on a Saturday night, I received exceptional service. Dev and Moses went above and beyond to assist me in handling the long lengths of molding, organizing, and even wrapping items together. Then, at the register, Peggy welcomed me with a smile and helped me through the checkout process. The unnamed young man who helped me load everything was also fantastic. This experience stood out compared to my earlier visit to Home Depot. I truly appreciate the outstanding service I received from your team. I visited your Saginaw, MI store on February 17, [redacted], with order number #[redacted]. When I inquired at the service desk about a discount on a torn bag of rock salt, the lady and gentleman initially mentioned 10%. Upon asking for a larger discount, I may have misunderstood the lady's response, thinking she agreed to 20%. However, at the checkout, there was a discrepancy, and the gentleman from customer service stated it was only 10% and seemed to speak condescendingly to me. I felt frustrated by the customer service and attitude displayed. It's not just about the discount but also about the overall treatment by staff. If my concerns are not addressed, I may have to take my business elsewhere and share my experience with others.

On 02/11/[redacted], I returned some items at the store. I requested a refund to my credit card from one portion of the return and store credit for another. The employee assured me the refund would go through without needing my card. However, after a few days, I noticed the store credit was given for the amount intended for my card refund. When I revisited the store to address the mistake, I was informed that nothing could be done to rectify the situation. Additionally, the $2 and change due for store credit was also not received. I am only concerned about the $[redacted].29 refund for my credit card.
