The sink I purchased measures 61 inches in length and is quite heavy, which is why I opted for delivery initially. Although I am past the 90-day return window for a refund, I would like to request an exchange to avoid receiving store credit. Can someone assist me with arranging the return of the item to the store for the exchange process? I am hoping to avoid any additional fees for this service, including the delivery of the new undamaged sink.

I received an email this morning on April 30th about online specials. I wanted to order 2 of SKU[redacted] with the option for free shipping to my local Menards in West Chicago, IL. I spoke with Rafael at the store this morning, who informed me that I would need to come into the store to pay for it and then have it shipped there. However, upon arriving at the store, both Rafael and the store manager, Greg, mentioned that the items would have to be shipped to my home, with shipping charges applied. Despite my request to waive the shipping fee or offer a gift card as a resolution, they were unable to accommodate. This situation was surprising to me, as the website advertised special orders with free shipping to the store. As a loyal Menards customer, visiting weekly without previous issues, I am seeking assistance in resolving this matter to purchase the two items. Thank you.

Hello, I recently requested to cancel my tub order purchased from Menards in April. The request was declined because the order has already been processed. The factory informed me that it would take six months to deliver the tub, which does not align with my project timeline. I am frustrated by the lack of communication regarding the extended delivery period. I am seeking assistance to cancel the order promptly as I have only made one payment so far. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reach a representative directly and have only been directed to contact Capital One. I encountered a few challenges with your store. Last summer, I purchased materials to build my cabin and tried to redeem the rebates, but they had expired quickly. When I submitted my next set of rebates on time, I never received them. Recently, I bought materials, including a Mastercraft door, for a shed at the Menards in Virginia, Minnesota. The door was installed incorrectly, causing me significant inconvenience as I live off-grid and had to transport it by hand. Despite the door not sealing properly, I opted to keep it due to the hassle of returning it. Mastercraft has been unhelpful. For my upcoming cabin addition, I plan to shop at Lowes, even if it means traveling an additional 20 miles. I have spent approximately $8,[redacted] at your store this past year, but these issues have led me to take my business elsewhere.

I recently purchased a faucet online, but unfortunately, it was not the right model. When I tried to return it in-store, I was informed that I needed to reorder the correct one online as it was not available at the physical location. What upset me the most was being charged a $76 restocking fee to get a refund for the incorrect faucet. This fee seems unjustified considering the item was brand new. I was surprised by this policy as I have never encountered such charges from other online retailers. Though I understand I am just one customer among many, being penalized for a simple error like this feels unreasonable. I bought all the materials for a large deck in [redacted] from Menards, including treated lumber for framing and Ultra Deck products for the decking. Unfortunately, after only 8 years, the treated lumber is rotting. I believe treated lumber should last longer. I've already had to replace stringers on 2 sets of steps and see deterioration in the rest of the treated lumber. I'm seeking reimbursement for the labor and materials for the repairs and assurance that Menards will cover future repairs due to this faulty lumber. Recently redid my yard with new grass and landscaping, purchasing a lot of items from Menard's. The grass grew in nicely, prompting the need to mow it. Procured a new lawn mower from the Merrillville, Indiana Menard's, but encountered challenges as it would not start. Returned it only to face a confrontational staff member who refused to adhere to the return policy and insisted on sending it to a Service Center for repair instead of offering a replacement. The Service Center indicated a week-long wait for repairs. This incident occurred today, 8/8/18, at 4:00 pm. As a result, I have decided to shift my loyalty to Home Depot and Lowe's. A few weeks back, I bought 2 gallons of Pittsburgh Honey Gold deck stain. Today, I used one gallon and realized I needed more. Unfortunately, it's discontinued. I was told there might be some left at the Cape store by Jason, but it's quite a drive. I wish they had informed me about the discontinuation when I bought it, so I could have made arrangements. Instead of trying to match it with a different brand at Menards, I got another gallon at Lowes hoping for a close match. It's not perfect, but my two-toned deck will be a topic of conversation with friends. It'll definitely be interesting to explain the mismatched colors to them.

I purchased Midwest Manufacturing steel siding in two colors, emerald green and bright white for a two-tone look on my house. The installation team mistakenly put up green on the garage and white on the house, but there was a noticeable size difference in the lap siding. It seems that the factory manufactured the two colors in different widths, causing an uneven appearance when installed side by side. Despite Menards refunding the cost of the green siding, I had to pay for the installation crew to re-do the work with extra white siding to match. I am now seeking reimbursement for the additional installation expenses incurred due to the product's inconsistency. I have followed the necessary steps to request this reimbursement, but have not received a satisfactory resolution yet.

I bought several products for a project and returned some unused items once it was completed. I encountered an issue when trying to return a 12ft molding board that was part of a bundle purchase. The board was individually priced on the receipt at $4.87, and similar single pieces in the molding department can be sold separately. However, the manager refused the return, explaining that since it was part of a bundle, the entire bundle had to be returned. Despite the fact that individual boards are sold separately, this policy was enforced. In frustration, I left the board at the store rather than carry it around. This experience was disappointing, and I am considering taking my business to a competitor in the future.

I recently returned 4 items to Menards in Valparaiso and was issued an in-store credit of $31.69. Unfortunately, I lost the credit while shopping. I promptly informed the customer service desk and requested the credit be canceled and reissued. Despite the quick action, it had already been used by someone else before the manager's attempt to cancel it. The staff mentioned they couldn’t do anything further. I suggested reviewing security footage to verify that I didn't use the credit, identify who did, and possibly trace their purchase through any associated credit card information for investigation. Since I frequently shop at Menards, it's disappointing that they couldn't reissue the $31.68 credit. Should they be unable to assist, I may consider switching to shopping at the nearby Home Depot.

I had a disappointing experience with the customer service at the Menards in Escanaba. I was waiting in lane 2 with the light on, but when the person in front of me left and I looked up, the light was off. I saw the supervisor, Chelsea, removing the cashier's till without any explanation. Despite being in line when the light was on, I was not served. Another customer even pointed out that I had been waiting. To make matters worse, instead of helping me, Chelsea began bagging the customer in front of me in the next lane. This lack of consideration and communication is unacceptable. As someone who works in customer service, I always keep my customers informed. This incident occurred before 10:45 AM on a Saturday. I expect better service and will consider other stores in the future.

I received misinformation from two employees regarding a special order I placed. The item will not fit in my vehicle as I was told. I spoke to a manager named Travis who was unhelpful. I am frustrated that Menards won't allow me to use a truck to transport the item to my property [redacted] miles away, won't waive the restocking fee, and wants to charge me for shipping it to a store near me. Travis promised a call back within 30 minutes but never did. When I called back, he was unhelpful and kept cutting me off. I am extremely disappointed with the service. I will cancel my credit card and take my business to Home Depot. The only resolution I will accept from Menards is to have the item shipped to the Bay City store, waive the restocking fee, or provide the use of a truck at no charge. Please do not call me to repeat this information. I will proceed to file complaints with the appropriate agencies.

On September 24, [redacted], we bought a ceiling fan online for $94.56 under order #MCOM[redacted]8. Despite being installed on September 2, [redacted], the fan turned out to be defective. Subsequently, we ordered another fan, MCOM[redacted]9, on October 2, [redacted], paying the contractor $60 and scheduling a return of the first fan and a second installation. The second fan arrived on October 5 and was installed on October 8. Unfortunately, it stopped working after less than 30 minutes. We paid the contractor an additional $60, bringing the total to $[redacted]. After contacting the online support, we received little assistance and faced issues with returning the fans. Overall, the experience has been disheartening, with two defective fans, multiple installations, and unhelpful customer service. We hope to address these concerns with a higher authority at the retail company to seek a resolution.

I have a rebate that I earned back on September 29th, [redacted] totaling $33.38. Today, when I tried to use it for the first time, I was told there was only $8.54 left on it. I am puzzled as to where the rest of my money went since it has never been used before. I appear to be missing $24.84, and I would like to be reimbursed for this amount. This situation seems odd to me as typically when a card is partially used, it is marked, but in this case, there was nothing marked on the card that has been sitting in my purse for over a year. I ordered siding online to avoid the issues I've experienced at your store in Sioux City, Iowa. However, my order arrived two days late on October 17th. Initially, there was some frustration with the employee at the back, but a helpful employee named Tiffany resolved the situation by identifying two damaged pieces in my order and reimbursing me. Unfortunately, upon opening the packaging, I found that 10 more pieces were damaged. After calling to report this, I was informed I needed to return the damaged pieces for reimbursement, which is inconvenient and costly for me. My client and I have decided not to patronize your store if this matter isn't resolved. I believe a refund for the damaged products is reasonable, as 12 out of 35 pieces were affected, despite paying an extra packaging charge. It seems excessive to charge for packaging when other companies do not. Thank you.

I am disappointed with the experience I had at your store regarding the shingle bundles on clearance in the Ray's corner. I noticed a significant number of bundles at a great discount for many weeks as advertised. When my wife visited on 10/17/18 at 7:00 pm and asked an associate to see the shingles, she was surprised that they were available and considered it a great deal. However, the associate claimed no one was available to retrieve them for viewing and the next day they were all gone. I find it hard to believe that no one could assist at 7:00 pm and suspect the associate withheld them for someone else due to the amazing price. I contacted the manager, who could not explain the situation or offer a resolution as the items were sold. This experience has left me disheartened, as a long-time customer. Additionally, the website still shows the items available, creating further frustration.

I purchased faced insulation but received unfaced insulation loaded on my trailer, creating an inconvenience due to a 4-hour round trip in the rain. Despite Menards offering to exchange the insulation, the distance, fuel cost, and risk of getting the insulation wet during the return trip made it impractical. As I have a significant order of hewn ponderosa pine awaiting pickup, it's challenging to manage both tasks simultaneously. I proposed Menards deliver the correct insulation while picking up the incorrect one, including my ponderosa pine order as a gesture of goodwill. We bought custom wall tiles from the Apple Valley, MN store for our bathroom renovation. Unfortunately, when our contractor installed them, they were uneven due to being cut from 12"x12" tiles without 4 factory edges. This caused a 1/4" misalignment by the top row. Upon trying to return the tiles due to their inferior quality, we were charged a 25% restocking fee of $[redacted], despite feeling that it was unfair. We ended up purchasing better tiles from Home Depot. The manager at Menards was unhelpful and suggested we should have been aware of the issue before. We believe Menards should adhere to their return policy for defective or inferior products.

On 11/13/17, my spouse and I purchased a Bilco Classic 45" access door for our basement. I made sure before buying it that if any issues arise next year, I could return it for a full refund. The person who sold it to me confirmed this. Unfortunately, due to my disability since February [redacted], I haven't been able to deal with this. An installer found that it wouldn't fit correctly, and my son attempted to return it. However, we were only offered store credit, but we really need the money due to medical bills and home problems.
