My cashier was too busy carrying on with the male cashier next to her while ringing up my groceries. I was highly annoyed by her lack of professionalism. The male cashier could see I was annoyed but continued the conversation with her. Next WIC does not work so she has to scan items to remove from my total. She missed one item, that I noticed so she told me to go to customer service to get a refund. While at the service desk I noticed another item I was charged for and did not have. The male cashier also came over to the area and was listening to me talk to the service desk people. I finally talked with a manager after asking for a complete refund and the male cashier was still in the area walking and circling around my family and asked me very rudely if he could help me. Finally the manager took him away from us and we continued to get our refund. After spending time grocery shopping, then fixing the cashier’s mistake, and dealing with the male cashier making me feel threatened I will not go back to that store. It was a complete inconvenience and upsetting experience for me and my family. Now the following day I am at a different Meijer store to grocery shop again. Not only was my experience yesterday a complete inconvenience now I have to take time away from my family to grocery shop again. The store I was at is ** mile and Schoenherr the cashier’s name was Carley and I am unsure of the male cashier’s name.
I am beyond frustrated since my bad shopping experience on Sunday. I have been to two other Meijer stores since then and the frustration continues. I really don’t care for Kroger but I am at the point I may just start shopping there.
I would like to be compensated somehow for the inconvenience and uncomfortable situation my family and I were in. While trying to fix the problem of the cashier that didn’t pay attention to her job the other cashier made me very uncomfortable circling around my family rudely asking “can I help you”
I live * mile from the Meijer at ** & Schoenherr. I was there at least * times week.
I have called corporate but still have not heard back from anyone.
