Hello, I purchased two tickets for a trip from Philadelphia to New York City on February 19-21, [redacted]. Regrettably, my fiancé and I had to cancel our plans due to a family member's illness. I contacted Megabus on Sunday, February 17, [redacted], to request a refund. However, the representative I spoke with was unhelpful and impolite. She informed me that the tickets were non-refundable with a $10 charge for date changes. Given the uncertain situation of our family member's health, continuously changing the travel dates could end up costing more than our original ticket price ($31.31). My Megabus trip from Memphis to Chicago was over 2 hours late, causing me a lot of inconvenience following a week of bereavement. While I credit the drivers for trying to catch up, the bus broke down in Bloomington, IL. I missed my train in Chicago, had to buy a Greyhound ticket, and spent extra on cabs to keep warm until morning. I encountered many expenses and challenges due to the delay, which affected my job as I missed work. It was frustrating that no assistance or vouchers were provided during the ordeal. I hope to speak with a representative within the next 48 hours to address these issues and seek compensation for the financial losses and job implications.

I intended to take the 11:59pm Megabus from Cleveland, OH to New York, NY with reservation 9-4[redacted]19-LFL1-[redacted]-CLE-NEW. Arriving at the bus station by 11:45pm, the bus failed to show up by 12:05am which prompted me to check the Megabus app for updates, with none available. Upon calling Megabus, I was told to wait 45 minutes after the scheduled departure for updates, which I found unsatisfactory. Contacting them again at 12:20am, I was informed there was no estimated time of arrival and requested to speak to a supervisor, only to be disconnected. After multiple calls, I finally spoke to a supervisor at 12:35am who mentioned the bus was still at Brookpark Rd and on its way. By 1am, a dispatcher at the bus station informed us the driver for the route never showed up. When contacting Megabus for a refund, I was denied despite the service failure being within their control, which led to me having to cancel multiple plans in NYC at significant personal cost. I am seeking a full refund for my trip, including the return ticket, and reimbursement for gas and tolls.

I was picked up by a Megabus at 7:25 PM at Sheridan Street Tri-Rail Station for my trip with the number 19-1[redacted]9-M86R-[redacted]-FOR-ORL, scheduled to arrive at 11:05 PM in Orlando. However, the bus arrived at 11:59 PM due to a stop, causing me to almost miss my connecting bus to Jacksonville. I had to rush to retrieve my bag and catch the next bus as the driver was about to leave without me. I am concerned as to why the bus driver was not informed by Megabus to wait for connecting passengers, especially since this was the last bus of the night. I would appreciate it if a partial refund could be considered for this inconvenience. I am a regular Megabus passenger and have never encountered such an issue before. I recently took the bus from DE to NYC for the first time and had a decent experience. However, the return trip location caught me off guard as it was different, causing me to miss the bus. It would have been helpful if this change was announced or if there were clear signs. I ended up incurring extra costs for cabs to the correct location and had to purchase another bus ticket. The information about different pick-up and drop-off locations should be more prominently displayed on the ticket receipt. Additionally, I opted to pay a fee to be notified of delays, but I never received any notification when the bus was delayed by 30 minutes on the way to NY. I would like a refund for the bus I missed. I bought one-way tickets for my parents from Orlando to Gainesville for today, 3/2/19. The flight was supposed to depart at 7:30 am and arrive at 9:50 am. Unfortunately, they missed an important 10:30 am appointment in Gainesville due to the delayed departure. The flight only left Orlando around 9:40 am due to mechanical issues. I believe customers shouldn't bear the brunt of company-related problems. I am seeking a refund for the added costs incurred from missing the appointment. I am disappointed with the lack of assistance from Customer Service Manager Natalsa #[redacted], who did not adequately address my concerns. This is the second time this issue has occurred, and I am adamant about getting a refund this time. I plan to share this experience on social media. I would like to compliment the driver of the Megabus from Birmingham to Bristol on Saturday, March 2nd at 10:05 am. At the start of the journey, he provided necessary information but was also friendly and cheerful. When the bus broke down and we waited by the road for 45 minutes, he was efficient and ensured everyone's safety, remaining calm and reassuring. On the replacement bus, he continued to explain everything and maintained a cheerful demeanor. Megabus was great in arranging delayed connecting buses for passengers who needed to continue their journey. I upgraded to a table seat #63 for extra comfort on my bus journey. Unfortunately, both the initial seat and the one I moved to had broken backs, causing me back pain. The small seats made it uncomfortable as the passenger in the window seat encroached on my space. Additionally, the other empty seat was partially occupied by a large passenger. The Wi-Fi was also not working. This experience was far from luxurious, leaving me disappointed as a member of a large group looking forward to positive feedback. Despite having a credit from a previous trip, it was not applied to this booking. My experience on the MegaBus today was extremely unpleasant. I was traveling from Memphis to Atlanta when we were unexpectedly stopped in Tupelo by several law enforcement officials due to a passenger missing their stop. The situation escalated, and the passenger ended up getting arrested. Witnessing how she was treated was distressing. Upon reaching Birmingham, we were asked to exit the bus with military personnel carrying machine guns present, leaving me feeling anxious and shaken. This entire ordeal caused a significant delay for my family expecting me at my destination. I am unsure if I will choose MegaBus for future travels due to these events. The handling of the situation, especially the arrest and the armed presence in Birmingham, was overwhelming. While I have recommended MegaBus to others in the past, I am now uncertain about doing so. I believe improvements are needed in how such incidents are managed to ensure a more pleasant and safe journey for passengers.

During my bus ride, I encountered a challenging situation. A large individual occupied a portion of my seat and encroached on my personal space throughout the journey. Despite my repeated requests for them to refrain, they continued to inappropriately lean on me and touch my legs and stomach, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. The bus was crowded, leaving me unable to relocate to an alternative seat. I hesitated to confront the individual due to their size, not wanting to appear confrontational. Consequently, my travel experience was distressing and unpleasant. I am seeking guidance on how similar incidents can be prevented in the future. Additionally, I would appreciate reimbursement for my ticket, as I paid $50 for a seat that I could barely occupy. Your prompt assistance in addressing this matter would be greatly appreciated. I had a booking to travel by bus from Washington DC to Philadelphia at 8:30 am on March 10th under order number AH3L2CA. On the day of my travel, I inquired with a Megabus representative named Bishop at the station to find the correct line. I joined the line along with other passengers. Unfortunately, just moments before the bus was set to depart, a fellow passenger informed us that we were in the wrong line. We rushed to the correct line, but the bus left without us. Despite our attempts to explain the situation to the driver, he did not wait and drove off, leaving 12 of us stranded. When we approached Bishop for help, he was uncooperative and refused to assist us. This experience caused me to miss my daughter's first piano recital, a moment I can never reclaim. I believe that Megabus should refund us for this distressing situation and take responsibility for their mistake. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I'm currently on a Megabus from DC to NYC that departed on 3/15/[redacted] at midnight and was supposed to arrive at 5:20 am. However, our journey has been far from smooth. After leaving on time, the driver made random stops without letting anyone off, and we are currently stranded at a gas station 80 miles away from NYC since 4 am. The driver has decided to stop driving, leaving us uncertain about when we will continue the trip. This unexpected delay and lack of information are unacceptable. I received an email stating the bus broke down, but it appears to be a different issue with the driver not wanting to drive further. We urgently need assistance and a refund for this disappointing experience. This will definitely be my first and last trip with Megabus.

I bought a ticket this morning from Toledo, OH to Cleveland, Ohio. My ticket indicated a departure time of 1:30. Arriving at the bus stop at 1:26, I found the bus had already left. I waited, thinking it might be delayed, but it never showed up. Upon calling the provided number, a man tried to reschedule my trip, which I declined as I was already upset. By 3:40, I called again to change my ticket, only to be informed by a lady that I needed to purchase a new one. This adds to my previous issues with Megabus, such as leaving bags at stops, rude staff, and mishandling of luggage. I was informed by my Uber driver that others were told the bus leaves at 1:20, yet my ticket clearly stated 1:30. I paid extra for a specific seat due to website limitations, not allowing general seating. While I understand arriving early, leaving before the scheduled time is unacceptable. I am frustrated and now seeking a refund.

I reached the Suny Albany Collins Circle bus stop at 4:00 for the 4:15 Megabus to NYC. Upon arrival, I noticed a line that seemed longer than the bus could accommodate, but I decided to join. As I waited, it became evident that there was not enough space for everyone on the bus. The storage area filled up quickly with suitcases, leaving some students stranded because there was no room for them. I was surprised that Megabus would oversell tickets considering the limited space available. I paid $39.49 for my ticket only to be left behind on campus. The next bus was delayed by almost an hour, causing me to miss an important internship interview in the city, impacting my life goals. Disappointed by this experience, I had to purchase a $50 train ticket to reach the city promptly. I have always been a loyal Megabus customer, but this incident has truly let me down. I purchased 4 tickets for a trip from Philadelphia to New York on March 8. Despite arriving early, I was unable to sit with my kids due to a lack of seating. On the return trip on March 10, with 4 tickets purchased again, we faced an overbooked bus and had to squeeze into the last available seat. I find this situation unfair and believe that all tickets should guarantee available seats, especially when minors are involved. Both of my children had to sit on my lap for the entirety of both journeys between New York and Philadelphia. I am requesting a refund for both trips for the inconvenience.

The purpose was to visit my cousin I. in the hospital following a tragic accident in Daytona Beach. Due to his transfer to a different part of the hospital, my family and I postponed the visit to March 23rd - 25th. I would like to discuss obtaining a refund. I traveled from Madison, WI to Chicago on Saturday morning at 2:30 am on March 16, [redacted]. Unfortunately, the bus was overbooked, and around 30 passengers had to stand during the journey. The bus was extremely crowded, forcing me to stand on the steps and another passenger to block the door. We were packed like sardines, violating safety rules as we exceeded the capacity. During my recent trip to NYC with reservations #17/18-5[redacted]19-M28R-[redacted]-PIT-NEW, I want to commend our exceptional driver who navigated difficult road conditions. However, upon boarding, our reserved seats 9&10 were mistakenly numbered as 13&14, causing discomfort on the overnight journey due to seat issues. Despite the driver acknowledging the misnumbered seats, there was no immediate solution. For reservation #6/7-5[redacted]19-M28R-[redacted] NEW-PIT, although we were in the correct seats, the bus experienced rough conditions with apparent mechanical problems causing a cold and bumpy ride. Many passengers, including myself, were unsettled by the excessive jolts, emphasizing the need for better maintenance. This trip to NYC, marred by seating discrepancies and bus conditions, was an unusual deviation from the normally excellent experiences we have had with MB. I appreciate the driver's efforts to assist within the limitations present.

I am reaching out regarding an issue with a recent trip I booked. Unfortunately, my card was not charged for the trip between March 8th and 9th. Despite contacting customer service multiple times, I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. I have reached out to all available contacts and have not received a response. Recently, it was mentioned that the initial transaction did not go through, and I was misguided by a representative who assured me that the refund would be processed within 24 hours. However, the charge remains on my card. It has been a month of constant follow-ups with no progress. I am in dire need of assistance as this situation has left me in a difficult financial position.

I am experiencing a significant issue with your website. Despite making eight reservations, I am consistently encountering the same error. I have tried various troubleshooting steps like rebooting my computer, clearing cache and cookies, and changing browsers. Additionally, I attempted payment using two different credit cards, with no success. After consulting with both of my credit card companies, they confirmed that all details are correct and the cards are valid. They noted multiple pending charges from Megabus, which are being declined by Megabus despite verification by the credit card companies. The situation is critical as our trip hinges on Megabus, and I am at a loss for what to do next. I have invested over three hours into resolving this issue tonight. The error message persists with each attempt, resulting in multiple pending payments that Megabus is refusing, leaving my credit card companies puzzled. I have a screenshot of the error message available if needed. I appreciate any help you can offer, as our journey is dependent on Megabus.
