I recently used my Meetup account on both my computer and android app until today. I had a great time at a meetup yesterday. However, one of the group administrators couldn't send me messages, even though my notifications were on. I promised to reinstall the app but only did so today when it started freezing. After reinstalling from PlayStore, I couldn't log in or recreate my account. I keep getting an error saying "account is not verified. Log in with a web browser to complete registration." Now, when I tried to submit a ticket on the support site, it won't go through. I've been a member for a year in the "GNV Women of a Certain Age" group. Please assist. Thank you. -Cin D. B.

Hello, I recently sent out invitations to local organizers about a climate change summit I am organizing. Considering the relevance of the summit's topics to their groups, I didn't realize it could be seen as spam. I understand now the importance of not doing this and have stopped. Some organizers expressed interest, and I would like to respond to their queries. To do so, I kindly request reactivation of my account. My account was created through my Facebook under the name Madeline Smeaton, linked to [redacted] I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

Hello, I am new to using this platform and encountered an issue. I created a meetup, but when attempting to edit it, selecting "Manage Your Group" redirected me to a page to create a new meetup. Believing the initial meetup was not created, I ended up making a second one. The two meetups share the same name, but one has a capital "H" in the word "Share" (SHare) and the one I want removed does not. Please keep the meetup with the capitalized "H" and delete the other. I am puzzled about why clicking the "Finish this Group" button leads me to creating a new group instead of completing the setup for the first one I initiated. To streamline communication, kindly send any responses to my email address associated with my more tech-savvy friend, Susan, whose contact information is provided below. Thank you, Judy

Some time ago, there was a technical issue with my account on Meetup. I had trouble signing up for events, and the organizers couldn't see my payments. Despite attempts to resolve it, the problem persisted. I used to have another email for Meetup, marge@meetup, but I can't recall the internet provider associated with it. I eventually stopped using Meetup altogether due to the sign-up issues. Recently, I joined the James River meetup group. Everything was fine until yesterday when the leader noticed two accounts and removed the one I normally use, [redacted] I tried to reactivate that account, but it seems to be inactive. Could you please delete the previous email associated with my account? I'm now worried about missing out on new meetup emails at my current email address.

1) As an event organizer, I am looking to add a meetup event that requires a full-page sized photo of an invitation with a barcode for entry, but the platform only allows for one small photo. I have the PNG file ready and just need guidance on how to include a larger photo on the event announcement. 2) The event I am organizing spans 3 weeks from August 16 to September 8, but the event form restricts me due to the length of time. How can I input the start and end dates correctly for a 3-week event? I appreciate a prompt response.

I'm Meg Callahan. I signed up for Meetup on June 25 and mailed a Visa check of $69.26 to join a beginners' Mah-jongg group, but I haven't received any response despite sending three messages on the site. I tried calling multiple times from California to NY, but no one answered, and there was no voicemail available. Strangely, the site lists me as a leader, and people are asking about the meeting I'm supposed to host, which I never agreed to. I've already found another Mah-jongg group, so I kindly request a refund of $69.26 to be sent to my address at [redacted] Woodlyn Avenue, Willow Grove, PA, at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

I was recently removed from Birmingham World Travel & Adventure Club by Jim Peacock, who has spread lies about me. Despite my attempts to contact him, he refuses to respond. I feel it was unjust of him to ask me and four others to pay for drinks we did not consume at a event he organized. Additionally, he owed me payment for Queen tickets since May [redacted], only recently paying but wanting to deduct costs for drinks and taxis I did not agree to. Unfortunately, Jim has cut off communication, making it impossible for me to address these issues. Being a co-organizer, I have financial responsibilities within the group and now face challenges in collecting funds for future events due to his actions. His dishonesty and unfair treatment towards me and other members is disappointing. It's crucial for him to apologize and rectify the situation to maintain the group's integrity and my reputation. I am deeply troubled by his behavior and the inaccuracies he has spread about me, affecting my standing within the group. I urge for a resolution to this matter promptly. Thank you, Skeeter Young

I am James C. Reitter, and I have been trying to resolve an issue with my Meetup account for Swing Dancing in Madison, NJ. I have contacted support@meetup multiple times, but have yet to receive a solution. The problem appears to be that my email on record is incorrect; it should be [redacted] instead of [redacted] I have provided a photo as reference number [redacted] to assist with this matter. I am unable to access my account to make any necessary changes, even though new members are signing up. Please address this issue promptly using the provided information. Thank you, Jim Reitter.

I noticed a discrepancy between the net amount displayed in the Money Manager under Summary and the balance in WePay. Despite GEtHuman directing me to FAQs, I couldn't find a solution. I learned that the Summary section may not accurately reflect the available funds for our group. It was only when my personal bank account was charged for 6-month dues that I realized the amount wasn't deducted from the group's account. The Summary seems to only show transaction totals and is not directly linked to WePay.

My meetup organizer is violating numerous policies such as posting pornographic content, harassing members, demeaning others, and making sudden changes to exclude certain individuals. I have received explicit messages and inappropriate photos involving minors. I have thoroughly reviewed all your guidelines with my legal counsel. I am hesitant to file a report due to fear. Although the group is welcoming, the organizer's behavior does not align with your rules. He has also sent hurtful texts, which I have retained in my phone. Despite sharing this evidence with other group members, I have not received assistance. Following my attorney's advice, I have blocked him. Furthermore, he must obtain consent to publish my photos on his website, a step I am uncomfortable with due to personal reasons relating to my safety and privacy concerns. Given my history with restraining orders, I am taking precautions to protect myself from ongoing threats. I joined meetups to socialize and build friendships, but the organizer's misconduct is distressing.

Hello. I created a group on Meetup.com called "Socializing, Playing Gin Rummy, and Other Easy Games." Unfortunately, due to my chronic migraines, I am unable to schedule meetups, organize the group, or pay the monthly fees. I have tried to find a new organizer without success and cannot continue in this role. I need to inform Meetup that I can no longer afford the $23 monthly fees. I am willing to leave the group to avoid these charges if necessary. I value the Meetup community but this situation has been challenging for me. I hope to resolve this matter promptly. Thank you for your assistance with this issue. My name is Deborah Miller, and you can reach me at [redacted] I appreciate any help you can provide.

I am having trouble accessing my Meat Up account. I was checking the day's events when suddenly I got logged out, and now I can't log back in. Every time I try, it says there is no active account on file. I attempted to reset my password, but the link couldn't be sent to my email since it wasn't recognized. I don't remember taking any action that would have caused my account to be deleted. I have tried troubleshooting steps like turning off my phone and deleting and reinstalling the app, but I am still unable to regain access to my account.

I have recently been deactivated from my long-standing role as an organizer on Meetup. I led the Hipster Tripster group in Douglasville, GA, arranging various trips during my tenure. When I had to step down and pass the leadership to my co-assistant, I suddenly found myself unable to access my account due to alleged inappropriate behavior. I attempted to share information about our Wine Trip scheduled for 10/5 and encountered issues prompting me to sign up with a new profile. I am eager to regain access to my original profile and seek clarity on the reasons behind my deactivation. Despite sending three messages, I have not received any response from Meetup. I kindly ask for assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you. - A.

I recently tried to share a website on a Meetup discussion board for an event I'm co-organizing, and I unexpectedly got blocked for spam. It is vital for me to remedy this situation promptly as I have several upcoming events to manage and attend. I was even considering starting my own group to showcase numerous activities that currently go unlisted or are scattered across different places. I planned to have assistance tonight, but the block is impeding my progress. I kindly request your immediate assistance in resolving this matter so that I may proceed with initiating my group, which I believe will prevent similar issues in the future.

I require immediate reinstatement of my account. I posted a link to a website in the discussion section to provide event details, which I believe led to my account being labeled as spam. This issue needs urgent resolution as I have numerous upcoming events to organize and attend. Currently, I am unable to contact individuals besides the few for whom I have phone numbers. Moving forward, I will ensure to gather everyone's phone numbers as a precaution. Thank you.

Hello, I manage our group on Meetup and received an email on Friday evening stating that my account was flagged for suspicious activity. I proceeded to reset my password, gaining temporary access with a random Member ID instead of my account. Unfortunately, I am now completely locked out of my group despite being the organizer and having set up WePay. This morning, I received another email through WePay from Meetup requesting more information to receive funds. It is crucial that my organizer account is restored and WePay functionality is reinstated. This matter requires urgent attention.

Beverley G., contact number [redacted], leads the LGBT Discussion & Support Group in Martin & St Lucie, Florida. She organizes monthly meetings on the first Saturday. While she's active in multiple LGBT meetup groups, she solely oversees the one in mention. When promoting the next gathering, it circulates through three group email lists. Despite members being part of three groups, only one RSVP per person is necessary. For the October 5 event, Beverley encountered three separate RSVP lists. She seeks guidance on consolidating the RSVP process into one list for future events.

Hello, I paid for my Meetup subscription to keep my organizer role before it lapsed, but someone managed to alter my group's profile. The new information suggests different organizers and the location is now listed as Murrieta instead of Riverside. This situation undermines the purpose of my payment. Is there a way to revert these changes to reflect my original profile and remove the unauthorized alterations? I am very concerned about this issue.

As a Meetup organizer with unlimited member spots, I selectively add new members for various reasons. Some individuals may not accurately represent themselves, while I also consider potential compatibility issues within the group and prefer to keep the membership moderate. Could there be an option implemented where declined requestors do not receive notifications? This feature is common in social media platforms and might alleviate the need to explain or disregard inquiries from individuals wondering why their request was not accepted. It would streamline the process and reduce potential awkwardness in these interactions.

I am Art by Cindy Ray and I have created two groups, one for ART PARTY B.Y.O.B. Art Lessons on October 22, [redacted], and the other one is Let's Paint B.Y.O.B. I need to pay for the Art Lessons group and delete the other one. I was under the impression that I had to post and pay for it, but I need guidance. The Let's Paint group already has 2 members even though I never posted or paid for it. I just want to proceed with posting and paying for the "ART PARTY B.Y.O.B. ART LESSONS" group. Help me with this, please. Artby Cindyray
