I recently purchased a new cell phone and I'm having trouble accessing my meetup groups on meetup.com. The groups I am having issues with are the Hope Alliance depression and anxiety support group as well as the Social Network located in Plymouth, Michigan. Additionally, I am unable to access the Southeast Michigan support and social activity group also based out of Plymouth, Michigan. The website is prompting me to join again, which I would prefer not to do as I do not want to lose the years of membership I have had in these groups. I attempted to contact meetup.com for support but their phone line indicates that the voicemail box is full. Could you please provide guidance on how to proceed next? My email address for the site is [redacted] Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, I urgently need help from Meetup. It has been a month since I started trying to get assistance regarding a situation where the organizer Susanne Lambert discriminated against me by removing me from Arabic and Polyglot meetups, and your team then disabled my account at her request. I feel my human rights have been violated, and I have been unable to access my account despite reaching out for help a month ago. Susanne Lambert has been spreading lies about me, turning people against me, and I believe your team has been supporting her. I am desperate to regain access to my account and would appreciate it if someone from the legal support team could read my email. I am also requesting my manager's contact information. I hope to receive a prompt response from you. Thank you, Aelen U.

I have been receiving unwanted emails regarding a Meet-up purchase I did not make. When attempting to unsubscribe through the site and then via email, I received an unprofessional response from an agent who not only was snarky but also closed my account. According to federal law, recipients of unsolicited emails should have the option to opt-out. Instead of closing my account, which I did not intend, I simply wanted to opt-out of future solicitations. I kindly request that Meet-up addresses this issue without involving "Mary" from "Integrity Socialist," as her previous response was highly offensive and lacked both integrity and proper customer service etiquette.

I am currently in a situation where my safety is a concern as I am escaping from domestic violence. I reached out to Eleni, the organizer of the 'Out and About Socialising' meetup group, regarding two photos that were posted from our meetup last Saturday. Even though I initially agreed to have the photos taken, I made it clear that I did not want them posted, as I typically avoid being photographed due to personal reasons. Despite my multiple requests on the night for her to delete the photos, she disregarded my wishes and posted them on the group page. As per the Human Rights Data Protection Act of [redacted] in the UK, it is illegal to share photos of me without my consent, regardless of whether I am the one taking the picture. If these photos are not removed, I will have to pursue legal action to ensure my safety. The specific photos I need removed are the 9th and 10th images from the Kanaloa event on February 2, [redacted], where I was also photographed with a member who behaved inappropriately towards me. I have already informed the organizer about this incident, and I kindly ask for your assistance in resolving this matter promptly to protect my well-being. Thank you in advance.

I am a member of three meetup groups: Your Greatest Version, Deer Park Positive Living & Spiritual Classes, and Meditations with Jessica Rudin. I am in the process of rebranding my main business, Your Greatest Version, to You Are Source. There was an error where I accidentally changed the name of Deer Park Positive Living to You Are Source instead of my main group. After realizing the mistake, I reverted the name of Deer Park Positive Living back to its original name to free up You Are Source for my main group. However, the system is now not allowing me to make the switch, stating that the name is already taken. I don't want to remove the name and potentially lose it to someone else. Therefore, I temporarily placed the You Are Source name back on the Positive Living group. I seek advice on how to make this name switch without risking losing the You Are Source name. Thank you, Danielle

I created an Online Selling [redacted] group a month ago with 50 members joining right away and 16 more waiting to join. Our first meeting decided it would be member-led to cover the various aspects of online selling. The members are aware they can contact me to set up discussions. However, there has been no response or participation despite my encouragement and offering specialized meetings on platforms like eBay. Similar eBay and Amazon groups have faced low attendance too. Considering this, I am thinking of canceling the group to avoid adding to the unsuccessful meetups on the site. I would appreciate a refund for my efforts. The group is "Calgary Online Selling [redacted]." Thank you. Tina.

Since the recent app update on Android, I've noticed that some meetup events are having issues displaying the attendee list due to a network problem. This seems to be affecting around 30-50% of the events. Despite creating an event on the PC for easier navigation, I can only manage and view the attendee list through the webpage and not the app. Another participant also faced this issue a week ago, and I encountered it after the update. I've tried reaching out to Meetup through Facebook without success. I want to avoid calling the U.S. from the UK. It's crucial to resolve this since I have an event coming up on Saturday, and I'm unable to see the RSVPs.

I've noticed a shift in MeetUp where groups seem to be more focused on personal gain rather than genuine interaction in my area, like in Tucson. Instead of joining groups with similar interests, I'm often asked to join groups where the main goal is for health professionals, real estate agents, or cannabis investors to recruit clients or promote investment opportunities. It's disappointing to see less emphasis on real connections and more on ulterior motives. I miss the days when MeetUp was about meeting like-minded individuals for shared activities. Lately, I find myself deleting requests to join these types of groups almost daily. I'm wondering what changes have occurred in MeetUp's purpose to cause this shift.

I'm wondering if changing my phone and desktop subscriptions will result in double charges. Currently, my iPhone subscription through iCloud is $14.99. However, on my desktop, it's asking me to pay $90 for a six-month plan with an organizer fee. Are these two separate fees for organizing and using online meetups? Also, I noticed the monthly charge has increased from $14.99 to $19.99 if I don't subscribe every six months. This new option was not previously offered to me.

I organized a meetup for March 29, [redacted], but it only showed up on Meetup once. I've noticed that similar events are being posted daily. When I clicked "reminder," the date displayed was incorrect, showing the reminder date instead. I want my post to be visible every day to increase sign-ups. The meetup is titled CRC Meetups at Holy Trinity Church on March 29th at E's Bar on Amsterdam Ave from 7-10 pm. I've received positive feedback on the description but feel disappointed by the lack of sign-ups, especially from guys. I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue. Thank you, Karen.

Our group, the Friendship Group for 50'ish+ in Sydney's Northwest to Nepean, recently faced some changes after the passing of our organizer, Lyndi Williams. As requested by Lyndi, a few active members are stepping up to continue running the group. However, we've noticed some unexpected alterations in our titles and membership. I, Cherry Roberts, was previously listed as Co-Organiser and found myself changed to Event Organiser. Unfortunately, some members like Di Allen and Dianne Anderson, who held roles as event organizers, have been removed. Additionally, there are concerns about certain members like Leanne and Geoff, who have apparently made alterations to the settings that I am unable to undo. To honor Lyndi's wishes, Di Anderson, Di Allen, and I, Cherry Roberts, are prepared to take on ownership and seek the restoration of our posting and management rights. We appreciate your attention to this matter.

Account: [redacted] Hi there, I'm having trouble sending messages on the platform. Everytime I try to write more than "Hey" it gets flagged as spam and prevents me from sending it. I have never spammed anyone and I send very few messages. Please unlock my account so I can send private messages. Not being able to message people has been frustrating and caused me to miss out on events. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but being able to message people is important for coordinating events while also ensuring safety by not sharing too much information publicly. Thank you for your help!

Hello, I'm Ellen Edwards, the organizer of Central Jersey Meetup Plus in Hillsborough, New Jersey. A friend informed me that my Meetup Group is being closed without any notification. It's possible the notice was sent to my old email address, [redacted], but my current email is [redacted] I did not intend to shut down my group. Please reach out to me at the email provided above to advise on next steps. Thank you, Ellen.

Hello, I run two support groups in Myrtle Beach, SC - one for PTSD and another for Christian women. A member from my PTSD group has been disruptive during meetings. When she wanted to join the women's group, I requested a private chat to discuss her behavior, but she declined. I decided not to include her in the second group and messaged her kindly to say goodbye. Now, I am contemplating removing her from the first group. I prefer to foster a positive environment and value the well-being of all members. Thank you for your understanding as I navigate this situation. Best, Heide

Upon creating my account on the platform, I was swiftly banned within a minute, even to the extent of having my IP address blocked. While I can still create accounts through the browser, the app restricts me from doing so. This is perplexing as it’s my first time utilizing meetme. Speculations suggest it could be due to a photo I posted in a body suit. If that is the case, I am willing to remove the picture and receive a warning rather than a permanent ban. Furthermore, I've observed that men using the platform have photos in only boxers, whereas I was modestly clothed except for my mid-thighs down. Additionally, I shared my social media, which may have violated policies, and I won't repeat this action if prohibited. I simply wish to access the services without encountering sudden bans without explanation, warning, or a chance to verify my account through email or phone.

I have a concern regarding my past payment for order ID 2389CC9-[redacted] spanning from February 24 to August 24, [redacted]. I'm puzzled about receiving a message indicating that my Meetup Group, Thoughtworks-Vodqa-gurgaon, will shut down due to divyarakhiani stepping down as the Organizer. The notification suggested I take over the group, leading me to click on a link that requested the review of my subscription. I proceeded with a new payment for order ID 0789C38-[redacted] for a billing cycle from March 22, [redacted], to September 22, [redacted]. Would appreciate it if you could address this matter promptly.

Regarding the old payment with order id 2389CC9-[redacted] for the billing cycle of February 24 - August 24, [redacted], I am confused as to why I received a message stating that the Thoughtworks-Vodqa-Gurgaon Meetup Group will shut down due to the organizer stepping down. Upon clicking the link provided, I was prompted to renew the subscription. I have made a new payment with order id 0789C38-[redacted] for the billing cycle of March 22, [redacted] - September 22, [redacted]. Could someone please investigate this issue promptly?

I have reached out to [redacted] regarding changing my payment method to my Discover account. I intended to renew my membership for $14.95 for one month on March 29th. However, I received a notification online stating that $85 would be charged instead. If this is the case, please cancel my membership for the "Newcomers Club of Kona." I have noticed a mention about needing to upgrade my plan due to the number of members, but we only have ten attendees at our events so far. Some individuals who join the Meetup group for the Newcomers Club do not attend or fill out a membership form. If the monthly charge is $14.95 as expected, I am happy to continue, but $85 is not affordable for me. Kindly confirm this information for me. Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted] Thank you, J. B.

I am a member of the NAWBO Ventura County organization, and we recently faced an issue within our meetup group. The current moderator, who is not an official member of our organization, has taken control without informing us, leading to miscommunications and unauthorized event postings. As the Marketing Director and a board member, I have tried to address this by requesting to be made the moderator, but my attempts have gone unanswered. It is essential for a verified member to manage the group to ensure that only official events are promoted under our organization's name. How should I proceed to resolve this situation? Thanks, Natalie R. Director of Marketing at NAWBO Ventura County

I'm a member of meetup.com and an assistant organizer for Hiking Hikers Hiking in Phoenix, AZ. I recently received a private message from a travel agent, but when I tried to respond, the message and sender were no longer accessible. Did the message get removed, or is there a way to recover it? I’m also concerned about the security of my account. Could someone else have accessed it without my knowledge? - Lawrence S.
