We upgraded to extreme service. We were told we would not loose any of the ** years of recordings we had. They sent a box out, and we connected it and it did not work correctly. So then we set an appointment from * to **, took off work and the guy showed up around *pm, and left around *:**. He told my wife that she needed to take the old bax back, becuase if he did it we would end up getting charged for the box for the next * months, and then have to get credited each month for the charge. Basically, he just didn't want to deal with it, so he dumped it on my wife, so at this point we waited * hours of time. Further more, he did not do any training or anything on his to use the box, how to set anything up, and even told us that all our recordings and details would show up over the next ** hours. So I sit down today to look at my shows, and nothing is there, ** years of shows gone! We call mediacom today, and the people were very helpful up until the final supervisor, and spent * hours on the phone, to be told they would not send anyone out today and they could credit us a month on our account, but that was all that could happen. We also found out from Erica, who was great and helped us originally today, that the reason we lost all of our recordings was becuase the new box was not set up correctly, which she helped us do while we were on the phone. He took my number and said he would have his manager call me monday. I own a business and if I ran my business like this I would be out if business. We have been customers for ** years, and this is beyond ridiculous. I would love to make a commercial showing how mediacom does not even take accountability for its mistakes! We wanted someone to come out today, in person, and show us how to set everything back up, that is a reasonable request since this is a problem resulting from their own mistakes. We said we could gladly be the last customer seen today, they were not even willing to check the schedules or anything else at all, just said he couldn't do anything further today.
