I have been struggling to reach Support for a week now. I made a mistake buying a Lenovo laptop that came with a McAfee subscription. However, the laptop broke down five times unexpectedly, and although the HDD was repaired under warranty, it caused me to have to reinstall everything, including McAfee, which I am unable to do with my existing subscription. I need help to connect with someone who can help me reinstall McAfee on my laptop. The reinstall link on the site removed McAfee and is causing issues. Additionally, I cannot reach any support channels for assistance.

Dear Concerned Party, I am experiencing difficulty removing a persistent warning window that McAfee continuously displays whenever I attempt to use Google Chrome to access the internet. I purchased McAfee Computer Protection on May 6, [redacted], at 8:11 pm for $39.99. My email address is [redacted] The serial number I received upon purchase is X9U2A3ZJVDHUT2D. Since today, whenever I try to visit a website using Google Chrome, I receive a warning that the site is risky. I am forced to either ignore the risk or go back. Unfortunately, even after going back, I am stuck on McAfee's caution page. Upon visiting the website today, May 25, [redacted], I have realized that I am now required to pay $7.99 per month to access my computer. I am confused about this additional charge as I have already paid $39.00 for protection on 5 computers for a year. I received a notification today about subscribing to McAfee Safe Connect after paying $7.99, but I am unsure about these costs and whether it is beneficial to continue with McAfee's services or switch to an alternative. I noticed a $99 charge on my Visa bill for McAfee coverage, which I wasn't aware would be automatically charged. I recently took my computer in for service and realized McAfee was no longer on it. Last year, I had the computer cleaned and hadn't thought about McAfee at that time. Since I have Microsoft now, I was informed McAfee is unnecessary. I was under the impression I had until the subscription's expiry date to decide, unaware of the autorenewal. I have also sent an email regarding this matter but have not received a response. I experienced issues with my computer crashing after installing McAfee. Real-time protection kept shutting off, and I had to restore my system to a previous date to resolve it. Contacted support and Sabitha remotely accessed my computer to address the problem. She decided to uninstall and reinstall McAfee. Once she removed the software and the computer restarted, she disappeared, along with McAfee. I need McAfee reinstalled since my contract is valid until May on this computer.

I received an email from my email address on November 17, [redacted], with alarming content that I recently opened. The email claims to be from a hacker who accessed my email and device a few weeks ago. They say they intercepted my password and have installed malware on my system. They have threatened to expose personal content and are demanding payment in Bitcoins for their silence. I am concerned about my safety despite having McAfee installed on my device.

Hello McAfee support, I purchased two subscription cards a year ago from Currys in Crawley, one of which I activated last year. As I tried to renew the second one with the 25-digit code, I noticed the first three digits were erased with the foil. I've raised a request for assistance with Ref [redacted] and submitted photos of the damaged code. I have requested several times to cancel my subscription for the McAfee LiveSafe Order PL[redacted] at $[redacted].95 and receive a refund. As a pensioner, I cannot have these charges deducted a month before the expiration date of 3/31/19. Even after turning off auto-renewal, your response has been asking if the issue is fixed. By opting out of auto-renewal, it should be clear that I do not wish to renew the contract. Consider this my final notice to cancel the contract by 3/31/19 and reimburse $[redacted].95 into my account promptly. I expect a response from McAfee before I pursue further action regarding the cancellation and refund. - K.H.

I would like to inquire about the double charges I have received. I made two payments of $59.95 each, assuming it would cover all my devices for a year as advertised. I was recently charged £89.99 for a subscription renewal despite opting out of automatic renewal. Due to being away on holiday without internet, I only recently received the notification of the charge. I purchased McAfee Total Protection [redacted] from Amazon on 26 Feb, thinking it would replace my previous subscription. Since I declined automatic renewal, I expected to be asked for permission before the charge. Had I been asked, I would have declined due to already being covered by my Amazon purchase and financial constraints. I am requesting a refund as it seems I am double-covered by McAfee. I contacted McAfee today after experiencing issues downloading McAfee LiveSafe Premium despite having the correct product key. The phone number I called was +[redacted]32. The representative asked for the error code, then suggested someone in Mexico City may be sharing my internet ID since June 6, [redacted] and offered a costly coding solution. Feeling uneasy, I requested to speak to a supervisor or supervisor's monitor. The representative then removed the installed items from my PC and abruptly ended the call. Afterward, I tried downloading the software again, but another error occurred with a different phone number to call. The second representative promised to call back but never did. I am concerned about the authenticity of the responses I received and if the McAfee site or software is compromised. I have successfully downloaded other programs without issues. I seek clarity on whether I was targeted and if the software download is reliable. - R W Young

I purchased McAfee security software online in July [redacted] for $44. I did not notice the automatic renewal option at the time of purchase as it was intentionally made difficult to spot. In June [redacted], McAfee attempted to renew my subscription six times on my debit card for a total of $[redacted].69 each attempt, resulting in $[redacted] in overdraft fees. After my bank flagged the transactions as potential fraud and cancelled my card, I contacted McAfee. Despite providing my cell number for a supervisor to call, they repeatedly tried an old landline number for three days before reaching me. McAfee refused to refund the bank charges and offered no compensation for the inconvenience and expenses incurred. Their mere apology was unsatisfactory. Additionally, McAfee provides a Virus Protection Pledge that promises a refund if their Premium Customer Support team fails to remove a virus. I have not opened the email yet. Please cease sending me messages. Your lack of protection rendered the company's services ineffective. I subscribed for a year, not six months, hence, your repeated renewal messages are unfounded. Such oversight is unwise. Do you not recognize the line between persistent messaging and harassment? Professionals, such as those in U.S. government cyber security, have consistently highlighted my lack of protection. I have relied on McAfee since my daughter initially added me to her subscription. She now exclusively uses Apple products for enhanced security peace of mind.

Hello, I have received invoices for two software products from McAfee. One is for 59.95 CHF via Cembra Money Bank and the other is for 99.95 Euro. I used to renew the software with the contact details of *WWW.McAfee.com [redacted] on my old PC. However, now I am using a new PC purchased in August [redacted] from Hewlett-Packard, where the software was pre-installed. I have only one PC for one user. Despite contacting McAfee Customer Service on September 19, [redacted], I have not received a response. I am requesting a reimbursement of 99.95 Euro, cancellation of any other McAfee products associated with my account, and removal from automatic renewals. Dear Sir/Madam, I recently noticed that my McAfee subscription had defaulted to automatic renewal without advanced notice. Issue 1: I have been struggling to reach McAffee via "chat" and still haven't received satisfactory answers. Issue 2: I regret purchasing Safe Connect as it has never functioned correctly and now doesn't work at all. The responses I receive through "chat" just promise to notify me when it's resolved. How long does it take for a company like yours to fix a product that should have been thoroughly tested before being sold? It's very disappointing and feels almost deceptive. What caused this issue? When can we expect a solution? How can I receive a refund for the money spent on it? I am certain I will not renew any subscriptions as they expire.
