I purchased the Maytag *.*-cu ft High-Efficiency Top-Load Washer with Agitator (White)*Item *: ****** * Model *: MVWB***GW, SN*C******** on ********* from Lowes. The machine was delivered and installed about a week later. I also purchased the extended warranty. On ********** I ran a load of clothing and a sheet was caught on the underneath side of the agitator. The sheet tore. I contacted Maytag who scheduled someone to come out on ********. They also replaced that sheet set with a $** gift card. The representative reported he had no record of this problem with these machines. On **********, a repair man from Appliance Repair Service Inc. came out to fix the washer. He couldn’t do anything but tell me to wash it on a different cycle next time. On **********, the same thing happened again. A king size mattress cover once again got hung and ripped this time I used a different cycle. It again destroyed something. I emailed Maytag to report the incident. I had not heard back so I called them on ******** to once again report the problem. Because I had taken the mattress cover out she told me to leave it in next time then call. No one offered to refund the money for the damaged King size waterproof mattress cover. On ******** it happened again this time with another sheet set causing it to rip and tear. I called Maytag to report it and they got me schedule for a service tech. Today the service technician came. This time he reported that my sheets were to thin and that he was told there was nothing he could do about it. I have now had this new washer for a little over * months and it has destroyed * bedding items totaling more than the $** gift card I was given. There has been no offer to refund or replace a machine that continues to show it has serious issues with items getting caught under the agitator. I would like someone to help me solve this problem. I should not have to call basically once a month then wait * weeks for a technician while spending money at a laundry mat when I have a brand new washer. You should stand by the products and warranty you manufacture. I would like someone to solve these issues asap.
