I recently visited match.com and was surprised that they required my visa information even though I was just browsing. Subsequently, I was unexpectedly charged $[redacted] for a 6-month subscription which I did not intend to purchase. As a person on disability pension struggling with hospital bills, this charge has left me in a difficult financial situation. I would appreciate a prompt refund of the $[redacted] to my visa. I initially thought my card details were for backup purposes only and did not expect such a significant financial commitment. This is my sixth complaint. I have not received an accurate resolution yet. After reading bad reviews that I should have looked at before, I am frustrated with Match. They do not follow my criteria and provide matches that do not meet my preferences. Despite requesting matches within a 30-mile radius, I am being matched with people over 50 miles away, including from Idaho. Additionally, I specified no African Americans, yet I am still receiving matches from that demographic. Another issue is that I am being matched with women even though I am seeking men. The age preferences of my supposed matches do not align with my age, as they are looking for women aged 55 and under while I am almost 59. I have encountered a scammer within just three months of using the service. Match continuously shows me the same male profiles for two weeks in a row. Their service feels like a waste of my time as they disregard my preferences and pressure me to spend more money for Top Spot without addressing my concerns. Despite complaining for a month, Match has not resolved the issue. If they continue to ignore my needs, I will leave a negative review like others have experienced. I feel that Match is prioritizing profit over providing a quality service that suits my needs adequately. If they do not start taking my preferences seriously, I will cancel my subscription soon.

I recently purchased a new cell phone and was unaware of how to locate or handle my subscriptions. Assuming my subscription with match.com was automatically canceled on 2-23-19 due to restricted access, I was surprised to see a second deduction when my funds were low until my ssi check on 2-26-[redacted]. As ssi is my sole income, facing financial difficulties, I realized today how to manage subscriptions with customer support's assistance. Seeking a refund and cancellation for the unexpected double charge for the following month's renewal by match.com.

These scammers claim interest, ask for money, and then reveal their true intentions, which has occurred repeatedly. This pattern of deception targeting older men for financial gain is upsetting. The women on this site pretend to be from my country, exploiting trust and honesty. The prevalence of these scams on your platform is disheartening and concerning. My Match account was changed from a Male seeking women to a Female named Gerri seeking Men. I want my account closed and a refund for the months Match charged me for Gerri. Although I attempted to close the account, it keeps billing me. I received a cancellation number: Gerri[redacted][redacted]. I need to be completely removed from Match and have no intention of using it again due to privacy concerns and unauthorized charges. I have contacted Match multiple times but have not received any assistance.

I connected with a person named "Ready" on a dating site who claims to be 49 years old from Maynardville, Tennessee. After exchanging numbers, we continued our conversation on Google Hangouts where he mentioned being in Turkey for business and not having any social media accounts. He asked personal questions that made me wary of potential identity theft. When I expressed my concerns, he abruptly blocked me, accusing me of lying. While he has a profile picture, I suspect it may not be genuine. Despite my efforts, I couldn't find any information about him online. He left me feeling suspicious and I want to caution others about his behavior, especially since he mentioned interacting with numerous women on the dating platform.

On 3/14/19, I attempted to subscribe to Match.com on 3/11/19 but faced technical issues with my computer causing me confusion about the cost. Different prices were displayed, ranging from $13.94/Mo to $44.83/Mo. Due to this, please cancel any account associated with my name as I never completed registration. Subject: Match.com Free Trial Charge Issue Hello, On March 16, [redacted], I signed up for a free trial on match.com believing it to be free. Shortly after, I noticed a pending charge of $[redacted].04 for a 6-month subscription on my Visa account. I cancelled immediately on the same day. Despite my attempts to contact you, I was unable to reach anyone. I kindly request an immediate refund. I have spoken to Visa, and they confirmed the charge has not gone through, so I urge you to void it to prevent any disputes. I am disappointed with the experience as a reputable company like yours should offer a transparent way to opt out during the trial period. I do not wish to continue as a member, and I am troubled by the charge applied just 6 hours after my cancellation. This has left me feeling deceived and hesitant to consider joining in the future. I am having trouble with messages not saving in the conversation history. It is frustrating not knowing if the women received them. I have been a customer for less than a day and this issue is unacceptable after paying. I sent messages, left the page, and when I returned, there was no history. Our small business was mistakenly added to the match list by First Data. We have resolved all issues with Bank of America Merchant Services' Collection Department. We were supposed to receive a $35,[redacted] settlement payment due to being victims of credit card fraud. A fraudulent shipper caused us significant losses as we fulfilled orders, and the shipments were never picked up. Despite wiring $39,[redacted] for shipping fees to various banks, we were only able to recover $8,[redacted]. We have been in contact with Bank of America/First Data since the incident in August [redacted]. Our company, specializing in patient t-shirts, has faced challenges with payment processing on our website and eBay. We are exploring alternative selling platforms due to issues with PayPal and accusations of "laundering." About 10 days ago, I signed up for Match and paid for one month with my credit card. However, when I try to log in, it says I'm not a member. I can log in with two different emails, but I made the purchase with this email: [redacted] I can no longer contact anyone, send messages, or do anything with my membership. I also use the email [redacted], but I'm certain I signed up with the first email. I want my account opened or a refund issued as I paid for a month but can't access any features. Just a few days ago, everything was fine, and now I'm facing these issues. Please resolve this as soon as possible.

I previously discussed with a woman regarding not renewing my prescription, but despite my intention not to renew again, I inadvertently went through with the last renewal. The woman I spoke to understood this. I have encountered no suitable matches on this site and do not wish for this last renewal. I was assured my account wouldn't be charged again, and renewal settings were adjusted accordingly. However, $99 was withdrawn from my account without authorization. After setting up my account, uploading photos, and purchasing a 3-month subscription through the app, I encountered an issue. I left the app briefly, and upon returning, I found myself logged out. Multiple password attempts failed, leading me to receive an email prompt. Upon reviewing my welcome email, I noticed a link to set a password, but was then informed that my account had been blocked. I reached out to support via [redacted] Ideally, I would appreciate having my account reactivated so I can utilize the subscription I was unable to benefit from. Alternatively, I would like the option to cancel my subscription as I am still within the first day of the three-day cancellation window.

Hello, I am reaching out to request a refund for the money that was deducted from my account today without any explanation. This is completely unacceptable. On the 3rd of March, I created an account with the app match.com using the email [redacted] Unfortunately, I was blocked by your company within a few days and my money has not been returned since then. Today, another deduction was made from my account even though I have been blocked for a month now. This behavior is dishonest and I demand a full refund immediately. If I do not receive my money back, I will have to take further action and report this issue.

I subscribed to Match and got blocked shortly after re-subscribing. Contacted customer service and was advised to wait 48hrs. Their response email referred to Terms & Conditions without details. I requested clarification on the reason for the termination and mentioned being owed an explanation. Match then pointed me to their Privacy policy. Although they refunded the payment, they declined to specify the cause of the account termination.

I was a member from August to January [redacted], and Match automatically subscribed me again on 17 January for another 6 months. However, I haven't used my account, especially since September, as I've gotten back together with my ex-boyfriend. Despite this, my picture is still on my profile, and I can't recall my account details, username, password, or the email address I used. Could you please assist me in deleting my profile? I am receiving calls from individuals informing my boyfriend that I'm still on Match, causing numerous arguments. My account seems to be locked after joining only yesterday. I am unsure why this has happened as I believe I have not done anything wrong. I did need to change my email address because the system would not allow me to use my name "Sarah" with the email "[redacted]". To resolve this, I switched to [redacted] as mjvmedia.com is my company domain and allows any name in front of it. After this adjustment, I managed to add my name, Sarah, to my profile. I recently joined and paid after careful consideration, and I am eager to start using my account. Thank you!
