renew my membership and get the guarantee they owe me, that I am completely eligible for. ... I have been a member for more than a year now. When my first * months was up, I renewed for another * months. I paid. I was unaware of the *-month guarantee and that I was able to get a free *-month subscription. It never popped up anywhere and was not told to me on the phone when I renewed my membership over the phone. They just told me I had to pay, so I paid. Now another * months has gone by and I was about to renew, but when I logged in, I saw the *-month guarantee. So, I called this morning because I met all qualifications to receive it. But, they told me that because I paid you guys for a *-month subscription * months ago, that I am no longer eligible for the free *-month guarantee. They said I should have told you guys I wanted it for free instead of having to pay for it. This is crazy! Who would just ask for something for free? They told me I should have looked online to see if I could get it for free, but since I did not do that and instead paid you guys, that I was out of luck. This is the most aggravating customer service issue I have ever had. I am eligible for it... I did not know about it * months ago... I called and renewed * months ago and asked what my options were and they did not tell me that I was eligible for anything like that. They said I had to pay. So I paid. But now my subscription is over, and since I paid you money * months ago when I renewed, I do not get the deal. I am appalled by the customer service I received this morning. "Ryan" and "Bev" were very rude, would not help me, would not listen to me, did not even try to save me as a customer... they just were like, "too bad sir, I am sorry. we cannot help you. You missed out on your opportunity for the * months for free since you paid for it back in July." And my account was cancelled. I just want the * month free subscription I am eligible for... that's all. And after the * months, if I have not found someone, I'll pay for another subscription. But I was a member for a year and wanted to continue... Can you help me or not? Match.com can fix this and make it right by giving me the six-month free subscription that they should have given me six months ago. They need to do the right thing.
Because I called to renew six months ago and they should have told me I was eligible for it then. Instead, they told me I had to pay. So I paid. Now it is time to renew again and just saw two days ago that I am eligible for this guarantee. So I called and they told me I was out of luck because I paid them six months ago. I was eligible for it then and am not now because I gave them money. This is the worst customer service I have EVER dealt with in my life.
