I went into Hereford food hall which is in a basement. I had my sparks card on my app screen. I bought the kilo jar of Percy pigs, went to pay but no internet connection, the till wouldn’t swipe my card. The last time it happened, a young gentleman came over and manually typed in the sparks card number. On this occasion I was dealt with by an older lady, she said that other phones didn’t have issues getting the internet connection. I asked could she type in my card number, she didn’t have a clue. So I am asking * things - to get WiFi in the food hall so customers can use the app and for staff down in the food hall to know how to manually input the sparks number. I was made to feel like it was my fault that my phone worked. Come on M&S this isn’t the great customer service we expect! I lost £** of points to, which is annoying but not the end of the world.
