The issue in GetHuman-madifles's own words
A year ago I had your software installed on my MacBook Air. Today I got a call saying the company was being liquified and so I was to get a refund for the $*** I paid originally. This seemed reasonable enough to be so I continued with the call but then it got very suspicious to me and I feel I might be getting scammed. The technical support person messed up the form by saying I was to receive $**** instead of $*** due to a typing error and he is now blaming it on me. I am on the line now for $**** because the payment supposedly went through twice. He made me go to an apple store and purchase two Apple Store gift cards worth $**** and $**** respectively to remit this supposed accidental transaction. I don’t want to get sued because I don’t have the means to deal with it when it was his fault for messing it up in the first place. I am also suspicious because of his actions and his repeated warnings of me not to tell anyone that this happened and that he can’t tell his managers about it even though it was an honest mistake. I’m very concerned as I don’t have a lot of money as I’m a graduate student and I am under a lot of stress right now due to approaching final exams. Thank you for your time.
